While the first technician was repairing the charging port, he asked whether I also wanted to replace the battery because he said it was not in good condition. He explained that since the phone was already open, he could replace the battery for less than the normal price. I agreed. After he finished, I checked the battery settings and the battery performance was still showing 65%, the same as before the replacement. I asked him about this, and he told me that it would improve to 100% within 24 hours. He also told me that if it did not improve, I should bring the phone back within two days and they would replace it again. Unfortunately, the battery continued to perform the same way after the repair. I wasn't able to return immediately because of personal circumstances, so I went back about a week later. There was a different technician working that day. I explained what had happened and told him what the first technician had told me about returning if the battery did not improve. The second technician told me that he was not as experienced or trained as the first technician and did not want to open the phone to work on the battery. I left without the battery issue being resolved. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this store for phone repair. I paid to have the battery replaced, but the battery performance remained at 65%, and when I returned to have the issue addressed, it was not resolved. I am also pursuing the matter through the appropriate channels regarding the charge.

I regretfully ordered an upgrade for pickup at this store, as I typically use the Apex location. The phone showed as in stock online, but when we arrived, we were told it was unavailable. I completely understand that inventory can change, and that alone was not the issue. At that point, however, I had a pending upgrade order and had already been charged the sales tax. Naturally, I asked what my next steps were. I was repeatedly told that I needed to cancel the order myself online or through the AT&T app, even after I explained that there was no option available for me to do so. I then asked whether the phone might be coming in on an upcoming shipment. The employee became visibly annoyed and responded along the lines of, "We don't know when we get shipments. There's nothing I can do." There was zero effort to explain the situation, offer an alternative, or help resolve what should have been a very simple issue. Afterward, I contacted my local corporate AT&T store in Apex as well as AT&T Customer Support. Both informed me that the store where the pickup order was placed should have the ability to cancel it and that cancellation was NOT something I could complete on my end. I was also told that if the order could not be fulfilled, it would eventually be dismissed automatically after a few days. Great -- that is information this store could have simply provided during my first interaction, rather than being treated as a problem by shopping at this location. Throughout this experience, the employee was consistently uninformative, dismissive, and unprofessional, with ZERO willingness to help. When I later asked for his manager's name, the call was disconnected. This experience was frustrating enough that I seriously considered switching providers altogether. Thankfully, the customer service I received afterward from AT&T corporate support and the Apex store was WONDERFUL and reminded me that this is not representative of every AT&T location. Until now, I have had great experiences with AT&T elsewhere, which made the treatment at this particular store even more disappointing.
