Although my request was simply to add a business line to an existing account, I was left waiting for an unnecessarily long period. From the start of the interaction, he provided incorrect information regarding the monthly cost of the device, stating it was nearly $8 for 36 months, when the actual cost is $4.72 for 36 months. I had to personally verify this in Verizon's official app and show him the correct amount. He then attempted to justify the error, claiming he had miscalculated. Furthermore, he continued to give false and contradictory information about available plans and the device unlock timeline, incorrectly claiming that unlocking only occurs after 36 months. I already have substantial knowledge and experience regarding these services, and my questions were intended solely to confirm whether the information provided was accurate. His responses demonstrated a lack of transparency and a clear intention to steer me toward more expensive and restrictive options. In addition, his manner of addressing the customer was inappropriate and unprofessional, using an overly informal tone and failing to demonstrate the level of respect and consideration due to a stranger, especially a customer of the company. Overall, this behavior reflects a clear attempt at commercial manipulation. It caused significant distrust and negatively impacted my perception of the service. I request that this situation be reviewed seriously and that appropriate measures be taken. I am a fan of Verizon, and have to update my review. I have been using them for 7 years now and they are always extremely helpful. My phone got stuck on the screen saver page and would not allow me to do ANYTHING! and after trouble shooting myself with the internets help at home, I was not successful this time. URGGGH, so I rushed to Verizon and as ever they were angels. This store is actually in The City of Progress..on Hialeah's main drag, West 49th Street. I found myself here Thursday and Friday when my phone started not receiving data (a very important feature to have). They swapped out the battery, did a reboot and got it essentially working Day 1. When the same issue continued, I called the 800 number (they get 5 stars) and apparently the signal is not as strong by where my office is. The tech in the 800 number suggested I go back to the store and get a new SIM card and he would notate my account as such. Friday afternoon after work I head back, thinking a SIM card is not a big deal. I approach the guy coming over to try and sell me something. I explain the situation and the first I answer I get is "No, unless we can duplicate the issue." I explained that unless he would follow me to my office the problem couldn't be duplicated and what the 800 number tech did. He then checks, and has to get two people to explain to him how to change and reprogram said SIM card. The guy was friendly enough, but even during the tech support he tried to keep upselling me accessories. After the other two people got involved, my phone is now working 100% and I can receive very important emails. Still I hope Verizon would have dedicated tech support centers and not just going to a retail store. PS They share the parking lot with a Starbucks so it can be a little packed. read more

I've been a Verizon customer for several years now. Usually when I have a concern, I call the hotline and it gets resolved pretty quickly. I only go into a Verizon store when I need to purchase a phone or an accessory, sometimes both, about once a year or every two years if I can push it. This time around, I stepped inside this store after a two-year sabbatical. Why? Because that's exactly how long I had no reason to go there given that my phone was in prime working condition and my accessories were on par. I went on Saturday with my boyfriend and one of my best friends who is a major tech person. I really just wanted to upgrade from iPhone 6S to an iPhone 8 with better memory. I take way too many photos and videos and take forever to transfer them out. Work switching platforms and needing an app on my phone probably also motivated me. Anyhow, Kevin attended us and he was efficient, attentive, and fast. I think if we spent fifteen or twenty minutes there, it may have been too much. Then again, I knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted an iPhone 8 with the maximum memory. Oh, and a new phone case. I did admittedly also end up with a Bluetooth set but that ended up being a surprise gift for me from my friend. At any rate, happy as a clam with my new phone. It's squeaky clean, works well, and everything I wanted backed up is backed up. It is apparent that this store is either one of the busiest stores in the nation, or the largest store in the nation or the store with the most clueless people in the planet. I have literally been on hold for 30 minutes (just for shits and giggles) to see when someone can get me a very simple answer to a simple question: Q: Do you have an iPhone 5S with 32 gigs? They have picked up the phone twice and placed me on hold twice while they 'look" to see if they have the phone. 34 minutes later someone came on the phone and said "sorry we can't give you that information over the phone, you have to come into the store" Just like most places in the City of Progress (Hialeah) customer service is non-existent . Bad customer service I went to Verizon Wireless for there was a case I had gotten for my iPhone 4S. I have been with verizon wireless for many years and there customer service has always been great, until recently. In any retail store you buy something online they all let you make an exchange at there store. I was not asking for my money back just asking for an exchange. The store was completely empty when I looked at a sales associate named Joseph, the store was completely empty and he told me that we don't do exchanges because its not a part of our inventory, he also with smog face said call customer service they will show you how to return your package of the bought item. I did call customer service at Verizon and was greeted with Tasha who told me that items could be exchanged at the store. The customer service rep on the phone was surprised why they employee would give me FALSE INFORMATION and just turn me away. She called the store and spoke to a clerk by the name of Luis and said to speak to him. I had to go back to the Verizon Wireless store this time there was a line for clients that needed to be helped. I had spent about an hour for an issue that the the rep Joseph could have easily done on my first visit. I was in line until the Assistant Manager Carlos was taking peoples name and I asked what there policy was and he told me. I told him what Joseph is sale associate did. He said he would talk to him. Then I get called to get customer service. Joseph again attended me, so he goes says in verbatim " apparently we can make exchanges" . I was like you didn't to look at the contents of the item I was asking to exchange. It seemed Joseph was angry. He gave me a heated glare. I had ask " Do you have a problem or something?" He gave me this look and said "NO". I was like ok. I believe that the Assistant Manager caught wind of the situation and he helped me himself personally. I had to ask the Assistant Manager Carlos does he have a problem. He just went back to say ' I will talk to him". I finally got my exchange. Something that would have easily taken no more then 20 minutes has taken an hour an a half. I asked Carlos for there business card and he gave me his and Joseph as well. Verizon Wireless Store in Hialeah has given me a bitter taste. I have gone to that store since I decided to go back to them because of there great customer service, but apparently that has to be proven again. I am here to inform my fellow yelpers about this horrible experience and to avoid this store at all cost. Avoid this store at all costs. They wont tell you about any hidden fees, then when you confront them about it they tell you that you're supposed to know. The sales rep was Kevin, when I called him to rectify the issue he was extremely rude almost disrespectful. If you want to buy a phone in this store, you better check prices in the stores around, I bought a motorola razr max, and the next day was $100.00 cheaper, I printed the add took it to the store and showed to the manager, She totally refused to match the price, (this is a policy that almost every store has it at this moment, they match the price if you find cheaper) I called others Verizon Stores and all of them MATCH THE PRICE!! except the one located at 1599 W 49 St Hialeah. I never had a problem with mi signal with Verizon, however the policy between stores is no the same, or the managers act on their own. I just called to find out the price of their plans for a very basic slide up phone. No Internet, no fancy gadgets, no frills. Jason the sales rep. told me it would cost me between $70 to $80 a month. ARE THEY SERIOUS??????!!!!!!!!!!! It took Verizon a very long time to get to Hialeah, but at these prices, they can move right out. My parents and I went in to switch from tmobile to verizon. My parents wanted to get brand new phones (iPhone X and Note8). I on the other hand brought in my Galaxy S8 that I bought UNLOCKED from Best Buy. The first time we went in they told me I couldn't use my phone on their network and they plugged in a SIM card (which wasn't activated) and told me it didn't work. So we all went home and I was curious so I called Samsung AND Verizon and both told me my phone would work on they're network. So about a month passes and we go back to the store. Again they do the same thing by using an unactivated SIM card. Essentially, they were trying to bait us into trading in my brand new S8 that I got from Best Buy to get another phone from them which would've gotten them a nice $3000 sale. Luckily for my parents, I am not a complete idiot when it comes to tech so we went to best buy and a VERIZON expert helped us out with the entire process and it only cost us $5 for a SIM card rather than $700 for a new phone. Moral of the story: Don't trust these clowns at this Verizon location. They are only interested in making a sale rather than helping their customers. read more
