This Verizon store has really gone downhill. All new employees lately/none know how to do much. Last week I had one yawn all through the conversation. More than 15?times. Sneezing!ugh. Today we went back for a new watch & they were so ignorant about a couple questions we had that we ended up leaving & purchasing at the Apple Store instead I have been a Verizon customer for 20 years @ this location. On Tuesday October 28 I stopped in the Grandville location and waited for 30 minutes. No one acknowledge me there, granted there was 3 employees there but they were with customers. But still this is a bad customer service because they done welcome or acknowledge anyone that walks in the door. This has happened 3 times already and I will be switching phone services now. I'm so Disappointed in Verizon! I'm NOT renewing with them. Yesterday 2/4 a Verizon phone rep for Verizon out of New York and from the Dominican Republic, she sim locked my phone (1.5 years been with Verizon) and DISCONNECTED my phone. The $45 paid three days earlier was visibly seen on the reps computer screen and he said there's NOTHING he could do. Allegan deputy tried calling me and said DISCONNECTED! I would give a negative if I could. that Verizon store on Wilson Avenue had the absolute rudest manager I have ever met. while setting up my phone the service rep said it was his lunch time. then no one took over and then the manager chewed me out and the customer service rep was rude. i plan to ask another store manager for the name of district manager to leave a fomal complaint. that is when I need to go to another store today to finish the set up. and left. read more

Worst customer service I've ever had...made an appointment for 3 pm, checked in via text at 2:50. Walked in and the rep that met me at the door didn't even try to help. Handed me a flyer on how to do one of the things I was after. Said I was next in line for help...nobody spoke to me. At 3:35, still no interaction, I left. What's the point of an appointment if they don't follow through? Several reps were walking around, not one of them said boo to me. I did want to buy a new phone, I'll be going to T-Mobile. read more

Absolutely stellar customer service. I was in there tonight, upgrading my iPhone to an 11 (yes the 11 y'all, not the 11 pro). & I even converted from my Fitbit to an Apple Watch. Fingers crossed I love it just as much if not more than my Fitbit. Christina helped me out & I'm so glad she did. She absolutely killed it tonight, my entire experience was the best it could have been. This location was also one of the best Verizon stores I have ever been to, the selection of products is insane! It's fresh, & clean inside, slightly resembles an Apple store minus the horrid long lines & unpleasant customer service. This store has it all, I will beyond a doubt be back again & I'll definitely be asking for Christina. Thanks again Christina, you were awesome to work with! read more

I stopped by to look at the apple watches. As I walked through the door I was immediately approached by an employee with a tablet. I told him I just wanted to look at the apple watches. He wanted my personal information and told me I'd have to wait 30 minutes to talk to someone. Since all I wanted to do was look at them, not talk to someone, I left. I wouldn't have objected to talking with someone, but I'm not going to be forced to wait 30 minutes for something I didn't even want. I don't understand why they wouldn't just let me look at what they had. I'll go somewhere else for my watch. read more

We've been with Verizon for a long time, this is the worst experience we've ever had with a walk in store. I've never done a Yelp review before as I work customer service as well and I understand a lot of situations are out of the employees hands and patience is key. We were trying to exchange a phone so we could buy a new one. Took 10-15 minutes to even get checked in (no big deal, things happen). We then waited for around 50 minutes while watching at the very least 4 other groups of customers being checked in - overheard at least a few of them without appointments - and helped before us. There was another couple who got there right before us who walked out of the store at about the 30 minute mark without help. Overall, just not worth the trouble it seems you have to go through to be helped here. Look for another Verizon. read more

UPDATE 28AUG2018 The service hasn't gotten any better, it's actually gotten worse. The manager needs a lesson in customer service. He needs to know how to work with customers, be helpful and accountable for his staff of associates. If you can avoid this location, my advice is drive the extra miles to avoid this store or use the app/web/call corporate directly. ******************************************************+ If I could give less than one star, I would. Why does Verizon think it's a good idea to have customers walk in the store and wander around waiting to be checked in, only to have associates ignore them and check in users ahead of them. This has to be the worst example of customer service!!! What happened to the days of being greeted at the door in an organized method of serving customers? When we finally did get an associate to notice we came into the store, he was more interested in his iPad than making eye contact and actually helping me. Granted an apology was made that they "missed us" walking into the store but I don't think he really cared by his behavior displayed. read more

40 minute wait to return a phone case. No one seems to be concerned with how unhappy waiting customers are. Employees disappear at random after an appointed as if they are lost. There has got to be a better process then how they are doing things. read more

Having the absolute worst customer service ever after 20 years with Verizon. We'll see if I hear back from the DM tomorrow. I'll hold my review until then. I'll keep you posted. So, to update. I received a call from the store manager today. He did offer to assist with replacing the screen protector through Zagg, or if I wanted to make a FOURTH trip into the store he would go ahead and replace the screen protector. I have already contacted Zagg and replacing it through them and paying the shipping. BEST BUY however, will replace your Zagg screen protector in store if you originally purchased it from them. My wife's first visit into the store they wouldn't speak to her about the phone because she wasn't an authorized user. She is now. All they would tell her about repairing the phone was that she could buy the phone out for $800 to get a new one. We took the phone to Best Buy and had the screen replaced for $279.00. If the problem wasn't the screen, they would refund the cost of the new screen and sell us a new phone for $400.00. HALF THE PRICE OF VERIZON where we purchased two iphone 12s, two phone cases, two screen protecters, an iPad and iPad case on April 4th. I have always liked the service from Verizon in the past. However after being a Verizon customer since 2001, this experience makes me think that I'm better off going to Best Buy from now on. I'll stick with Verizon because the coverage has been great. But I'll make my purchases at Best Buy from now on. Did I mention that sales person added phone protection on each phone charging us about $35 a month with out even mentioning it? That's wrong. It would have been so easy to replace the screen protector and keep a 20 year customer. read more

Verizon is farming data through their custom experience program that they sign you up for without telling you. You have to opt out yourself or the can get your texts, web data, call data, everything and they won't say what it is for. I chatted with them to opt out and they wouldn't do it and pretended they didn't know what I was talking about. It is infuriating a company would blindside customers and be so disloyal and ungrateful for people. read more

Management says they don't want to lose you as a customer but then will do NOTHING to fix there mistakes and keep you. Being a loyal customer for years means nothing to them. I guess they overcharge all their customers so when some leave if doesn't affect there bottom line. read more

The sales associate took over 2.5hrs to return the phone I purchased via their Edge program and resell it to me under a 2-yr contract. I walked in the door at 5:15pm and didn't leave until 7:58pm. 2 minutes before closing. The associate spent over 1.5hrs in the back office "working" on my account via phone with Customer Care. The associate literally abandoned me on the sales floor for 1.5hrs and offered hardly any updates on her progress in the back office. I was forced to flag down other associates and ask them to kindly go in the back and update me on the status. I'm absolutely offended at how associates at this location treat customers like complete trash. I didn't expect to spend 2.5hrs at the store and without a working phone (the associate disconnected my phone prior to venturing in the back). I asked the manager on duty if I could connect to their WiFi to make calls and respond to work e-mails, and he proceeded to tell me that their WiFi wasn't working (despite the fact that my iphone was picking up at least 6 hotspots on the sales floor). The customer service I received at this location reminds me of the DMV. God awful service by a bunch of rude and arrogant individuals who clearly do not appreciate the 2 new lines of service I just gave them! I forgot to mention that they attempted to charge me both a restocking fee and an upgrade fee on a phone that never left my hands and was never "upgraded." I literally signed up for service 4 days ago and it's already been a nightmare experience. Only positive comments are regarding Verizon Wireless as a carrier. Fantastic coverage. read more

Great people. Very knowledgeable. Very very helpful. You may have to wait a while but it is worth it for people who can get you what you need and teach you how to use it. I'm pretty tech savvy, but I've watched the staff help older people very patiently on many occasions. I also was resisted going to the smart phone (I don't the newest greatest thing if it's not going to increase productivity by more than it cost) and a salesman spent an hour with me going over all the options and how they would fit my business. Sales person Jerry P. In my opinion was Less than fourth coming with the hidden fees even when we asked him directly about fees. He also told us the Galaxy S8 was very expensive and we would get a better deal with the S7. Such a lie because if we would have ordered the S8 it would have been $10.00 a month cheaper. Do yourself a favor and don't go to this store because again in my opinion you will get cheated. read more
