I needed help with my son's phone. He has autism and I needed to make it safer for him. I wanted to allow him to have an ability to call and text and have a camera and a few games but otherwise no other access to social media or the Internet for safety reasons. I've been struggling with this issue for a few years and I've been to the Apple Store and other Verizon stores seeking assistance without success. Come to find out, we had to pay full price for the phone, He apologized and wrote a paper stating he would pay the difference for the next 36 months, which I will never receive. We traded in and purchased 2 new flip phones in December and was supposed to receive $1,149.84 credit for our phones. We were never informed that the credit would be given over 36 months, which essentially locked us in to their service, as we would forfeit the credit otherwise. The credits stopped and the bill increased, requiring hours on the phone to make corrections. This new billing cycle not only didn't include the credit, but our bill that was supposed to be $133.00 is now $235.00. I am so frustrated knowing that I need to spend additional hours to correct this mess. I filed a complaint with FCC and am considering small claims court to recover our trade-in. Sales rep named Skyler helped my boyfriend get a new phone today and proceeded to brag about his strip club adventure from the night before. He discussed how he "paid the girls rent and car payment" and described the girls at the club as "short and stubby." This was only prompted by him asking my boyfriend what he did for New Year's and when my boyfriend said "nothing" Skyler proceeded to offer up all of this information. Comments about the strip club lasted the entire duration of the interaction and made me feel disgusted and glad that I wore clothes that cover up my body. Independent Verizon store, Freemans bridge Rd, Glenvile, NY. My pixel 2's screen wasn't working. I brought it back to this store which i purchased it from. I waited over a half an hour, which happens. When i saw a clerk, He confirmed that the screen didn't work. Looked up my account and informed me that it had been 18 months and that it was out of warranty. I honestly didn't remember, but said it couldn't be more than a half year old... It was only 5 months old. i looked through my records after . He then proceed, to try to sell me something else. When i became hot under the collar he did say i could take it to a We Fix it store and get a new screen, b/c verizon doesn't replace em. This place is no better than a shady used car dealership. When we purchased new phones a year ago, they hid purchase fees on other lines to make us think we were getting a deal we never got. Fast forward a year later when we were offered $1000 off a new phone when we traded ours in, we find out that we still owed almost $500 that was hidden on another line. read more

My husband went to this location last evening to inquire about a new IPhone 10. Person that waited on him was not very helpful so he decided against making a purchase at that time. When my husband came home he asked me to call the location to see if they transfer info to the new phone and if there was a charge. I said usually it's free. The cocky young man on the phone giggled and said "nothing is Free with Verizon ". And there would be a $35.00 fee. If I could give zero stars I would . After purchasing a new phone and otter box . The salesperson offered to put a screen saver on , without any discussion of additional cost . When I got home and realized how ridiculously overcharged I was (40$) , I called corporate to see if I could return it . They informed me I had 14 days . I returned to the store immediately to do so , and they refused . They also offered no compensation or care for my situation or any regard for the possible loss of business. They told me they are an independent store under Verizon . I can only assume that means they do not respect the policies that protect customers . I agree with the other reviewers about all and that this NON company owned location is NOT the place to go. There are a few employees who are OK but the manager on today was not helpful and actually exacerbated the situation to a point where I was so frustrated I swore. That was his out to get me out of the store and back on his phone. No other customers and 3 employees who either had no idea how to answer questions on a product sold there or just didn't care to help. I think the latter for the 2 guys on their phones not helping the poor guy who didn't know how to help me. Simple, the customer asked for help and you ignored her. You knew the new guy helping was unable to answer questions and didn't step in to help. You kept your faces in your phones and hoped I'd go away! NOT NICE! I only swore once. Don't go into to this place thinking they have your best interest in mind! Their only goal is to make sales and rip you off on the purchase of accessories. After purchasing a new iPhone and otterbox case the salesman says ,"I'm going to put a glass cover on for you." Little did I know it was not part of the otterbox case that I bought but a separate screen protector which cost $40! There was no talk of the additional cost before it was put on my new phone! They wouldn't refund my money because it was opened even after I called Verizon directly and they stated it could be returned before 14 days. I also learned that they are an independently run store and not actually a official Verizon store. Don't go there. Go to a real Verizon store that doesn't try to take advantage of you. All the accessories are way overpriced as you can purchase most of them for half the price on amazon. The $40 protector I was forced to buy was $5 on amazon for example. I love Verizon service but these types of shady business practices are going to give Verizon a bad name! read more
