My experience with Verizon was not good. My Verizon wireless internet service was terrible. It kept dropping my TV station and I would have to go to settings and put a very long password in to get my program back. This happened 3 or 4 times a day. I also have Verizon phone service and very often can not read the news feeds. So long story short, im canceling Verizon. Verizon promised to be cheaper than my previous carrier, by the time they add on this fee and that fee i was paying 155.00 per month for the privilege of being annoyed. ​ read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE! They scam you into a $35 "device setup fee" that is not charged by any other store. I was not told that this fee was going to be required until after they ran my credit card. I would NEVER have had them "set up" my phone, which entails TURNING IT ON!!! They are very dishonest. I was told my phone was $33 per month for 24 months (which is $799) and when I got my receipt it was $810. He never asked me any questions, but assumed I wanted to purchase several add ons that I luckily noticed before he locked me in. Not to mention the additional $30 "upgrade" fee which is horse crap as well. So glad I have purchased over 20 phones for my family and pay $330 per month for this horrendous treatment and no thanks. I was essentially scammed out of $75 just for going to this store instead of the Greenbush store. STAY AWAY!! read more

Go to a real Verizon store. This place will charge you a $35 fee to set up your phone. Stupidly, I thought the fee on my receipt was the Verizon fee. No, it was not and they don't care and won't do anything about it. Yes, he told me but worded it so that I thought it was the Verizon fee. The last time I was there I was told it's the same charges as if I went to Verizon. No, it's not. Just stay away. Once they have your money, they're done. People are nice until you have a complaint. Per glass door.com these guys all work on 100% commission. Steer clear - go to a real Verizon corporate store. If you do go to the Glenmont, NY store don't believe a word you are told that is different than the agreement you sign, they'll say anything to make the sale but they won't be so accommodating if you have an issue. Stay away from Verizon. The worst customer service, across the board, than any biz I've ever dealt with. If you can't stay away from Verizon, STAY AWAY FROM GLENMONT! Consistently unhelpful, incapable, rude. My brand new phone...replacing an awful device...does not send emails. I understand that new phones need tweaking and went in for help. The guy who met me didn't even look at the phone and told me to change my em address. This is a biz address and that's not happening. When I asked what other options there were he said to go back to my old phone! All this was done with an attitude that implied he couldn't be bothered with me. On the other hand, if you can't stay away from Glenmont, ask for Greg and see nobody else. He's the guy who helped my set up my new phone and was the rare Verizon associate who was pleasant and knowledgable. He's the only one I've ever dealt with there who was helpful. Terrible. My sister is the account manager and I am the account owner. She went in for upgrades, they said they would get waved all of the upgrade fees as well as the devices, ended up putting it on the bill, the guy said, well you signed and said good luck with the bill...then she left a comment on here they said someone would get back to her and no one has, the devices on the account do not work, you try to call or go into the store and no one will help. I'm really sick and tired of writing to Verizon all of the time. They are consistently terrible and really do not care about their customers. Stopped in early in the summer since my son's cell phone needed replacement. The business had recently opened and I wanted to support a local business in my community. The store looks just like a Verizon company store, but buyer beware. I was directed to a very young sales associate who sat me down and put me through the paces of signing in, checking my account. I explained that I wanted a basic phone and knew that I was entitled to some sort of upgrade phone on the account. The young man t old me that Verizon no longer gave "free phones" and that I would have to buy one. This was surprising to me but since I thought I was in a company store, I did not question it. The young man had very few lower end , non smart phones to choose from. Turns out the one I selected (one of the lower ends) was out of stock and he valiantly tried to direct me to the smart phone styles all with big price tags. He also told me he could order one etc. I was very surprised again as usually the Verizon store had many different styles and so I decided to hold off and head to the Colonie Center Verizon store to see what they had. Went to Colonie and discovered that indeed there were many many different styles of all price points and that indeed I was entitled to a "free" upgrade of which there were many choices. Technically, it was not "free" as I had to pay $40 connection charge however, that beats a multiple hundred dollar new phone!!!. I told the associate what the sales person at the Glenmont store told me and he informed me that Glenmont was a cellular sales store and was disappointed and surprised that the Glenmont associate did not tell me I was entitled to an upgrade and all it would cost would be the nominal connection charge. I happily concluded my business in the Colonie store and then on the way home, stopped into the Glenmont store and asked to see the manager. i thought since it was a new business that perhaps his associate needed some additional training. The manager was also very young and when I explained my reason for stopping and my interest in seeing that the new local store succeed and thought they would appreciate the feedback, his demeanor was very unapologetic and he said, that his associate was correct, there are no "free upgrades" . When I pointed out that although that was technically true, a customer looking for a simple phone would be more inclined to pay the $40 connection charge instead of the $100 plus new phone charge and asked why I wasn't informed about this. His demeanor was borderline sneering and he informed me that his sales associate had given me credible information and thus it was my fault for not knowing about the lessor connection fee and bringing it up. It was a disappointing encounter and this young man needs to consider what most business 101 courses teach and that is the point of contact . I will never enter the store again and will not be recommending it. read more
