I go in and Skippy who is dressed just like he came from gym class, rather than a grown-up working in a business, slouches over on the display and asks if he can check me in. Into what? I just wanted to get some information and make a purchase, but then he says, it's an hour and a half wait. You can make an appointment but it's all booked up today and tomorrow. They didn't look busy. And why couldn't he help me. The cantankerous non customer oriented manager "Micah" at this location does not do his job and would rather argue with customers. This little guy should be written up, suspended and/or fired or replaced, period. This location is not very welcoming, with very condescending staff and management that is evident to anyone that walks through the door. This location needs more entry level training for all their staff, it is pretty embarrassing that leadership roles need more training than most floor staff. Additionally, the staffs appearance comes off as unprofessional, shirts untucked, baggy pants, jogging pants, uncovered tattoos and general slob appearances. Order your devices online, this includes upgrades, none of these staff at this location deserve commission. You will be much happier dealing with Verizon on the phone, instead of walking into the rude unwelcoming stores much like this one. The temperaments of these managers and staff truly should be accessed much closer, try hiring actual professionals. read more

Horrible experience with the employee named Mica, that I believe is the manager. This GenZ kid likes to look and act important but at the end of the day, simply argues with customers. Tanner and David at Verizon in Eagan have provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced! They worked me through a very challenging change from another carrier that really let us down and created an an unexpected issue with a promotion they initially honored and then rescinded. We we're nervous about changing, but David really took care of us and followed through with everything that was promised. Not sure what happened to this store, the service and engagement from staff have plummeted in the last few months. My wife and I always worked with Ethan, but he must have moved on which is a shame. He always kept things streamlined and fun. Our last visit was so draining and our salesperson did a poor job of hiding that he didn't want to be there. Neither did we. Wow. Should have checked the Yelp reviews before entering the store. Hopefully you don't make the same mistake I did. Headed in a few days ago to deal with a broken screen. After being given some bad information by the Verizon phone rep, I entered the store attempting to "Edge Up" and get a new phone. The associate, Drew, had zero interest in being helpful, and told me I was unable to upgrade. After stating a few times that I was eligible (I had checked online), he ultimately found the right screen and allowed the upgrade. No apology for his inability to correctly locate my account information. I had to ask for a receipt, which apparently is a problem at this store (I'll get to that later). Completely apathetic in his demeanor, as if I was bothering him by simply walking into the store. His manager, Jess, demonstrated the same "annoyed" attitude when I asked clarifying questions. In light of the high cost of service, and the complete lack of customer service, I opted to change carriers. I brought my phone in earlier today to return, and was told I could not return it until the number had been ported to my new carrier. Fine. Leave, go set up service elsewhere, come back, then had to deal with both Drew and Jess again. Same $hitty attitude. Now on the 3rd trip to the store in 3 days, by the way. Despite my number not being ported yet, Jess was able to figure out, with help from Drew, how to process my return (not sure how they could accomplish this given the story I was told earlier in the day about the port of the number). $35 restocking fee to return my device, and couldn't get my original phone returned to me. All of this I could have dealt with had Drew or Jess not been such complete and total @ssholes. I'm still fuming thinking about it. I will never, ever, ever, go back to this store. My husband, a 10 year Verizon customer, dropped service with them as well. Avoid like the plague. read more

(Eagan location) David was very helpful yesterday. I was prepared to switch to t-mobile but David answered my questions, was knowledgeable and super friendly. Decided to stick with Verizon cause of this positive experience. Had to schedule an appointment since my wife wasn't able to meet me. Came in today expecting the same experience but that wasn't the case. Jason was less then helpful. Had a poor attitude and spoke down to us. Won't be returning there...should have gone to t-mobile. read more

I feel like I entered a completely different store than the above posters as my experience was 100% different (I'm sorry for their poor experience). We wanted to upgrade our 2 of our "dumb phones" to iPhones and take advantage of the 1GB/month/line deal that was going on. We worked with Jeff who was AWESOME. Great guy, very personable, able to answer all of our questions, great customer service. Only "bad" thing I can say is it did take about 30 min to be seen, but that's understandable as it was a Saturday and there were only 5 associates on (they did keep us updated as to how much longer it was going to take to be seen) All were working very hard. I would suggest to this store to maybe have more employees on for Saturdays especially with big product releases like the iPhone 6/6 Plus. If you want to get in and seen quickly I would go to the Mall of America store (other than high traffic times like Fri/Sat/Sun). They have extra employees there since it's a huge store and according to Jeff they are trying to create a different experience. Overall, very impressed with this store. My girlfriend thinks she left a personal item in the store but they will not allow us to directly call the store to ask someone if it's there. Verizon customer service kept her on hold for over a half hour only to tell her it was impossible to directly call the store, so our only course of action was to drive all the way back to Eagan to see if it they had it. Lame. No one can take a call over there? It's a phone store. Lame. I regret giving this store my business and am just growing tired of Verizon overall. I feel bad for the poor person who greets me at the door and listen to this rant in person but I'm about to cloud up and rain all over their Sunday :( read more

:) in my opinion, the plague seems cured. The moment my boyfriend and I walked in we were greeted and was helped right a way. I had a great time, the associate helping me was funny, very easy going, and made us feel comfortable. We stated what we were looking for and he was able to present us with everything needed and he was very well informed. My family and I went into the store on Black Friday. Understanding that it would be very busy we were ready for a wait. The store was nearly empty, but there were people in the virtual waiting line. We were greeted with "we are out of iPhone X's and can't get you one. I asked if they were selling any phones and could we get in line? We waited over an hour (again, we were ready for a wait), but we weren't ready to see 2-3 employees helping out each customer and a few standing around chatting with one another. We were fully prepared to pay full price for 3 iPhone X Max phones. I'm guessing based upon the tone and attitude of the employees that they could care less. We typically go the Verizon at the Mall of America and will gladly return there. Do not shop here unless you want attitude, no customer service and hours of your life you can't back. read more

I just switched my cell service to Verizon. Not only is this new network so much better than Sprint but I was floored at the phenomenal service that I received when visiting this store. Tom was extremely knowledgeable and worked with me for quite some time to find the best way to move my service to Verizon so I could actually use my phone south of the river. I went into the store on a Saturday afternoon with some questions about switching my family plan from another carrier to Verizon. I stood around for 10 or so minutes waiting to be helped but everybody seemed to be busy with either paperwork or helping other customers and not paying any attention. Finally I got a little frustrated and went to leave, thinking I'd try back another time. As I'm walking out, a woman walks in, and an associate immediately walks up to her and asks how we can help her. This is the same associate I'd made eye contact with several times but he never acknowledged it. Come on folks, you need to help the people that are already in the store first. read more

Chris was extremely helpful and knowlegable. He had patience and stuck with me for over 2 hours guiding me through the sea of phones to choose from. He helped make sure my old phone was backed up and transferrable to my new one. Excellent service. Came back in a few days later to tackle a couple of trouble shooting problems. I was told that the "Edge" program does not have a contract when we were in last fall buying 5 Iphone 6's. That was great news! We have been long term Verizon clients but were reluctant to commit to new contracts. What I learned today was that while there are "technically" not contracts, there are buy out amounts that seem a lot like the amount we would pay for an early termination for a contract. Reminds me of a line from the movie Animal House. "You ****** up you trusted us!" Will remember this when my non contract Edge program is up. read more

You can't even ask them for help because the average customer knows more then these idiots. They try to sneak stuff passed you too. They signed me up for Verizon Cloud without my permission and made it impossible for me to cancel it so they could gouge me for 5$. Switching immediately. I hate you Verizon you suck. read more

The guy at the front was really awkward when we walked in. He made no eye contact and was wearing light blue jeans while texting on his phone and holding a tablet. I get this is a wireless store but get off your personal device. Also, this location is huge and only has 2-3 check out registers. The wait was over 1 hour when we were told it would be 20-30 min. I also agree that my experience was completely different than the others listed . They must have just completely changed their staff and started fresh. All of the staff are so upbeat and professional, but they are fun to work with at the same time. They are incredibly knowledgable and everyone looks very clean cut ! I could tell that the sales rep went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I felt like I wasn't pressured into anything that I didn't want. The rep simply found what best fit my individual needs and pointed me to it. I had a great experience with my rep and am honestly looking forward to my next upgrade with Verizon. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. I have recently moved to the cities from SD and needed a new phone. I wanted to check to see if my family plan had an upgrade available. I came in having all the information for the account I still have with my family. I had everything from passwords to social security numbers and anything in between. I was approached my the manager who looked up the account and refused to talk to me about ANYTHING because I was not the primary account holder. I understand if you cant legitimately change a plan without permission, but after explaining the situation she just stared at me and said she could do ANYTHING. I told her I could call or face-time my parents for them to give any required info/permissions and she refused. She told me I'd have to go alllll the way back to Sioux Falls just to upgrade my phone. Not exactly accommodating. All I wanted was to check to see if I COULD upgrade and she refused to give me any information or help in any way. Not a chance I'll be going back there again. read more

Night and day between this store and the Apple Valley one. I have a Note 7 and Apple Valley refused to exchange for a temp one until the new ones arrived. Today I called this store and they were able to get me completely set up with my new phone over my lunch break. I will be using this location from now on. read more

Terrible service and the manager, Jessica, was so rude. We had made an appointment for 4:30 to talk to someone about upgrading our phones. Jessica said that there was no appointment listed in her 'system' and that we would have to be on the end of the list which was a 35 minute wait. This was exactly the reason we made the appointment so we wouldn't have to wait. The right thing to do for the customer would have been to put our name at the top of the list, but she refused. It wasn't our fault that her employee neglected to put down our names. In trying to reason with her, she became very rude and told us not to come back to the store. No problem. We went across the street and bought out phones at Sam's Club where they were very pleasant to deal with! read more

My wife and I are snowbirds. I also have a jetpack for internet connection with Verizon that we transport back in forth between homes. Last week I received a call that one of my sons had died suddenly from a heart attack. Within hours we were on a plane back to Minnesota when I realized I had forgot to take the jetpack, which we would need if for nothing more than to print our e-tickets for the return flight. I called the Eagan branch and explained my situation. They offered me a rental jetpack to use for the few days we were going to be here for the funeral. Now is is why they get 5 stars from me. There was no charge for the few days I needed it and what I can see no charge against my cell phone data usage. And that is why I give 5 stars to Verizon and to that store. In an extremely stressful period in my life, they came through like champs. read more
