This review is about my cracked screen for my Samsung Fold phone. I filed a claim, and the nearest location for Minneapolis was Richfield on Lyndale Avenue. Now I know what you are thinking, I didn't have a choice of locations. I did. Three years ago for a different phone, they took care of me. With that said, I am happy to say this was my second satisfied experience. This location is north of HYW494 in a court of shops, businesses, and restaurants on Lyndale Avenue. My phone is complicated, so normally these questions are asked. Did you drop your phone? No. Was it dropped in a liquid? No. Was there anything you did to break your phone? No. It was simple, my screen cracked about 1 inch from the bottom of the fold of the phone. After filing my claim and taking it to be fixed, the uBreakiFix team confirmed the status of my phone and said this would be taken care of. I know this was a long-winded story to make sure John and Christian (uBreakiFix experts) are taken care of. Because of them, my experience was spectacular. They were kind, patient, thorough, experienced, etc. Also, they sent me a personal text with the status of my phone and when it was fixed. When I arrived to pick up my phone, they were happy to see me and explained what they did to fix my screen. I know this sounds unreal. Why would they show so much care? I don't know. There was a lot on the website to make me feel good about getting my Pixel 3a screen repair here. Authorized Google repair! Low price guarantee! Price matching! I made an appointment, and the estimate in my confirmation e-mail was $129.02, which was higher than the initial $119.99 on the website when I made my appointment. The confirmation e-mail, which included the location, said "Estimated totals do not include sales tax. Your total may vary depending upon the device's condition." I walked into the store, and without even looking at the phone's condition, the clerk told me that they charge $140.00 because the initial price was a national price and the locations charge differently. What about price matching your own national price? But, they already got me into their store and I wasn't about to shop around. As advised, I came back in an hour and the clerk didn't recognize me. Perhaps because he knew the store didn't stock any new cases for my phone he didn't try to sell one to me. So far, my phone seems to be working okay over the past half hour. The service was professional, if not particularly friendly. If I go back, I'm going to call to confirm the actual price. I thought I was getting a good deal because the initial quoted price was the same price as what I would pay to get a screen and repair it myself. But the quotes kept going up and up in $10 increments. The final cost was 25% more than the initial pre-tax estimate. That's not a good way to run a business if you say you say low price guarantee. When it comes to cell phones, for some of us it is our 'life-line'. In the modern era of Covid, some of us requires working from at home which relies on VPN connection. In other words, I heavily rely on my cell phone to do my line of work - software engineering. All my cells are Samsung. I prefer certified Samsung parts and services. This place fulfill that bill. uBreakiFix is the BIGGEST supplier in Samsung parts in the metro area! If you have a Samsung phone that needs repair, this is the ONLY place I go to. If they have the parts, they can probably fix it in 2 hrs or less. Note: they have to get Samsung 'certification' test to meet Samsung standards. Now you saying - seriously, for a food guy - what do you know about repairs? I am Asian - I am extremely impatient(the woman related by marriage calls it 'high maintenance')... These guys did thorough test on my equipment (over 45 minutes on my last repair) and told me that it is probably my charger gone bad(more on this later). Get this - they DIDN'T want to charge me anything despite the 45 mins diagnostic! Now that is true/honest work. Back to my story, I was so impress with their honesty that I bought a charger from them. Yes, their chargers/cables are expensive (compare to Wally World/Amazon/etc). DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! Unless you want to be out $600 like me. I bought a new screen that cost me over $300. I bought one of their liquid screens like I did in 2018. I have that phone to this day, and I put it through hell and the screen never broke. If it did they would replace it. A very good product. Whatever they put on the screen of my phone was not that product or they did it wrong. Broke again within a month. IT WAS IN MY POCKET! Not dropped. When I went to get the screen replaced, they told me I had to have registered the product. But they did not tell me that when I got the product. No information. They probably had the information from the phone sitting in the back and said oops after they sent me on my way. Or worse, bait and switch. Because they admitted to the mistake right away. THIS IS A FRANCHISE! STAY AWAY. The manager did everything the "DISTRICT MANAGER" would allow him to which was basically nothing. Asurion who sold these franchises gave me a few bucks to console because they have no control over these scam franchises. THE"DISTRICT MANAGER" WOULD NOT SPEAK WITH ME!!!! The manager Kyle gets rave reviews from me. I had a broken screen and was given misinformation from AT&T. I was told that I would be able to get a new phone immediately with my insurance claim if I went to uBreakiFix. Kyle gave me the bad news that he would not be able to fix the phone and I would have to re-submit the claim via phone. Not knowing how to get home without my gps, how to contact anyone, depleted from hours at AT&T, and with a cranky toddler in tow, Kyle went above and beyond. He helped me call the insurance claim folks (as I had no way of doing that without a working phone), gave me directions home, and even helped entertain my toddler with a fidget spinner! Terrible. I brought in an Xbox 360 with a broken disc drive, they accepted the console, and did absolutely nothing for days. Several weeks later I call, only to learn they can't even replace parts of this console due to some policy change, which was fine. However, upon retrieving my console, not only was the disc drive more damaged and less functional than before, but the game left inside was also missing. I had been having issues with the charging of my Pixel phone. Always having to fart around with the cord to get it to charge. I took my phone to Verizon and they sent me to UBreakIFix and am I ever glad I did. He took my phone to the back did a deep cleaning around the charging port area and it has been two weeks now and no issues works GREAT! And I was not charged. read more

They were unable to fix my screen so I was told I could come get my phone on December 9th or 10th they needed to put the old screen back on. Fast forward to today the 14th and I called them and said my wife would be stopping by in a few hours to get the phone and was told it was ready to go. They made her wait for 30 minutes while they swapped out the screens... it was not done, it was not ready to go and they didn't even care enough to tell me the truth. Poor service and lazy workers. ***Call the shop*** even if you make an appointment online. Only this will assure theyhave the part you need. This is no reflection on the Richfield shop, but instead a flag to all thinking by signing up for a repair appointment online and giving the particulars for what is broken on your device means the shop you have chosen will have the part[s] you need in stock to complete the repair. We found out only after arriving to have my grand daughters screen replaced that that did not have the screen in stock having used their last the day before. Agfain the young man at the shop was kind and apologetic, but the company needs to do a better job with their appointment system. I would go there again, but call first! read more

I brought my sons school iPad in for a cracked screen repair. First issue was that the repair took weeks to complete. Luckily it was the summer, so we had the luxury to not rush things. I brought it home and my son immediately noticed that the home button was very loose. I called them and the guy I talked to said that it was because they didn't have the tool to make the home button secure due to the fact that they weren't apple certified. They made me feel like this was to be expected and there was nothing they could do to correct it. I wish I would have know this before I forked over $170. I wrote corporate, but didn't hear anything back. School started and my son tried using it, but the button started slipping UNDER the screen rendering it unusable. His school graciously repaired it for us and let us know that the repair was done completely wrong and required a total screen replacement to fix their "repair". NEVER AGAIN. I was promised by an employee must of been new because he said it should only take 45 minutes and then PROMISED again that If I come back tomorrow they will have it. NOPE it wasn't. We ended up having to go to the one in uptown and they said it takes 2-3 hours and whoever told us 45 minutes has no idea what they're talking about and he also mentioned they don't like/recommend going to the one in Richfield. His words "there a shit show over there and they're the corporate building" Not to mention at the Richfield location they were all talking in the back for what felt like 10 minutes before "helping" I put the quotations'cause they didn't help us at all. terrible waste of time. If you break your phone DO NOT go to the one in Richfield. Called and found out the manager that quoted us is named Jeremy. he quoted me at $349 and we got it at the uptown location for $216 WHAT A DIFFERENCE. read more
