So I buy a iPhone 2nd hand (yes I checked the IMEI number online beforehand it was fine) 6 months down the line I have no service I call EE and they tell me the phone has been blacklisted because the previous owner hadn't paid any bills! Apparently it's very common l! There was nothing that they could/would do unless the previous owner or me settled what was outstanding over £1000!!! I wasn't paying for someone else's bill when I had bought the phone in good faith not did I have that kind of money! So I googled away and the general consensus was I was stuck with a phone I could only use on WiFi so essentially a iPod. Of course there were many YouTube videos of people claiming to be able to do it but they were all a load of rubbish then I came across MN Mobile Guy now I was dubious at first but after reading reviews online on various sites and on Facebook I felt like there was some light at the end of the tunnel. I then thought crap they're in America and I'm in the uk so I emailed them my questions and after the prompt replies I was confident they could arrange to have the black list removed but I was still a little sceptical as they are some con artists out there and IF this was the case there wouldn't be much I could do from another country! I did continue to have a bit more of a nosey to see if there was a similar service in the uk the only one I found said that they did do it but the service to do it was down and could take a few weeks before even trying to remove my blacklist they also had some poor reviews so I turned back to MN Mobile Guy they assured me that their contact was someone who worked for EE in the uk, My payment could either be by credit/debit card or Paypal and that the work was guaranteed. So I bit the bullet and paid which was a very reasonable price 4 days later (it was the weekend) they emailed to say it had been removed and sent a copy of the new checkmend report showing this, I turned my phone off and back on and my service was resumed!!! WOW, MN Mobile Guy is THE BEST EVER!!! I have a Samsung S7 and use fingerprint access, however I also have a screen PIN lock. I recently forgot my PIN and tried resetting it with Google's Find My Device, seemed simple. Unfortunately this DOES NOT work! Once I locked the phone (like it was stolen) and reset the Google password, it locked me out COMPLETELY! Apparently if you have a screen PIN lock changing this password through Google does nothing...but how would you know this?? There's a small circle with a question mark next to the feature and you can click on it...but it should be a BIG BOLD RED pop up screen!! Needless to say my fingerprint no longer worked and since I forgot the screen PIN, I had ZERO access! I tried over 40 PINs and after numerous calls with T-Mobile, Samsung and Google, was told time and time again factory reset was the only way because I had no back up. I had 3yrs of photos and contacts I didn't want to lose, so I took my chances and called MN Mobile Guy. It took 20 mins to remote access my phone and they unlocked it completely!!! This guy is the REAL deal. Got an Iphone off of Craigslist, yeah I know don't bother, but I checked the IMEI number before I bought it and it came back clean. This was a free IMEI site that I use to check the phone. It was reset to factory so it didn't have an Icloud lock on it. When I tried to activate the phone with T-Mobile it came back call their support. So I called their support and gave them the IMEI number, that's when they told me the phone was blocked. I would have to reach out to the original owner and have them settle up with T-Mobile. Text the guy that sold me the phone and you guess it he never replied back to my text. So what do I do with this phone? I guess I could part it out. But I went on the internet and found MN Mobile Guy. Text them and gave them the IMEI number. Trying to sim unlock my Stylo 6 was not easy. We didn't even get it unlocked, to tell the truth. I wanted to move to another mobile provider after my agreement ended with Xfinity. They sent me a SIM unlock code that would not work on my fully paid phone. Honest company, T-mobile took 4 months to finally unlock my phone. These guys let me know it was already unlooked. I will use them anytime I need a phone unlocked, tired of the story Tmobile and Samsung gave me. Tmobile said Samsung had to unlock it and Samsung said Tmobile needed to do it. I played the game for 4 months, when I travel outside the US I sometimes get a local sim, and wanted my Samsung Note 8 unlocked. Next time I'll just call these guys, pay a few bucks and not waste my time. I have used them on 2 occasions. Both times I had tried to have the problem resolved locally without success and I was told it couldn't be done and charged for the service which did not work. On both times these folks solved my problem. This time I purchased a used phone form a friend and he reset the phone before logging out of his G account. He did not know the password and had not set up an alternate email address to retrieve the password from G. Spent 2 weeks trying to have the Lock removed locally and was told couldn't be done on a Pixel 3. Emailed these folks and got a quote back the same day saying they could do but the phone would have to be mailed in. Sent the phone and 2 days after they received it, I got an email saying it was done. Phone was mailed back same day and in less than a week total time, I had a working phone. I use an unlocked Galaxy S5 because I like the ability to swap batteries, and use Cricket Wireless because at $30 per month including taxes, etc., it is the cheapest service I could find. I was under an account that went to collections and went to open my own account on tmobile after I talked to a rep saying I could transfer my phone over but would lose my number. I said it was fine and opened my account with my friends and my phone. 2 months later our phones were locked. When I contacted customer service, the rep said it was because the other account was delinquent, jump on demand phones weren't transferable, and now our phones were useless. I had an AT&T purchased Samsung S21 phone that I got carrier unlocked officially after my contract completed. Then I switched to a different carrier which was smooth, however, I found that I stopped receiving any software updates. I contacted MN Mobile and Nathan was able to remotely update the firmware on my phone to replace the AT&T branding with T-mobile branding. It no longer needs to connected to AT&T network to receive OTA (over-the-air) updates. After the firmware update, OTA started working from the Android update menu itself. I had specifically requested to get to a state where I would receive all future OTA updates automatically instead of a one-time software update. I contacted Nathan (MN Mobile Guy) after technicians from Dallas told me that it is impossible to unlock Samsung Note 5 without losing data. I forgot my password. I called T-mobile and Samsung. The technicians who serve there told again that it is impossible and only factory reset is an option. Nathan did unlock my phone literally in 5 minutes without the loss of data on my phone. I scheduled an appointment with Nathan last Thursday and got the service today. It took less than 30 minutes and my phone was up and running. I can't say anything else. The person who unlocked my phone gave clear and understandable instructions and we were in and out. For more info, my phone, a Z Fold 3, was locked to Verizon after we got scammed by a seller online. He unlocked it and it's now able to work with most Major Data providers in the US (for sure with T-Mobile). I don't know why these guys aren't more known.
