Went it to get an iPhone 7 screen repaired and as advertised the work was done in 15 minutes. The prices were clearly listed on a big board as you walk-in, so it was not a guessing game like you do when you hit up a mall repair shop. The work done was great and the guy who checked us in and the girl who checked us out were very professional and thorough! Taking off a star as they push you into giving a positive review on either google or Facebook and if you do so there and then in front of them, in return they give you a free screen protector. Word to management - your team is doing a great job so there is no need to push people into giving reviews so that they get free stuff. The staff here are clueless. I contacted them on Wednesday morning and spoke to a female receptionist. I told her I had a Microsoft surface 2 that needed a screen repair and asked her how much they charge. She said "$199". I called to a few other shops and noted they were about a hundred dollars cheaper than most- should have been a red flag! I called again this morning to verify the cost, yep $199 for a Microsoft surface 2 rt ( I made exactly sure we were both speaking the same language). Their website has the address 333 Washington Avenue North, Suite 300, Minneapolis MN 55401 twice at the top and the bottom of the site. I went there (downtown Minneapolis no less), a 25 mile-out-of-my-way hike to find it. Got downtown and called for directions after I couldn't find it, female receptionist said 'oh no we are in Eagan.' So I toted back to Eagan, 20 miles back. So if you go there make sure you have the right address! I finally get there with my tablet and it's original packaged box and Kelly the receptionist today says she will take the tablet and call me back after the tech looks at it for a quote. I asked her what the most I could expect was (keeping in mind I was quoted $199 over the phone). She said oh probably $250. I left a little irritated but willing to take the $50 up charge. Got a phonecall about an hour later from Kelly saying 'we looked at your tablet and because it's a pro we charge $399. '. I called her back and she said they looked up the model number to determine it was a pro. I told her my original quote and even discussed their website address flub. All she had was a half hearted apology for me. Picked up my tablet 3 hours later in it's original case I left there (says right on the tablet and box "rt", not to mention the Pro version was never made in a 32GB product), photo attached for proof. Not even an apology from the receptionist this time, just handed me my tablet with a smirk on her face. If you are considering this place to fix something think again. If they can't even identify the item, how could they even fix it? Not to mention the absence of an apology for the address goof and my wasted time from THEIR OWN WEBSITE (minneapolisphonerepair.com), or the original quoted price eff up! I contacted IOT because the printers at my office were leaving residue on pages and needed a good cleaning. I spoke to an account manager, Trevor, first. He was very helpful and friendly. I asked for a quote and how soon a technician would be able to come. He was ready with the quote (very reasonable) but had to have someone in operations call me back for availability. I expected to hear from him the next day, but I received a call about an hour later to schedule the appointment. I was told a technician would come either later that afternoon or the next day. To my amazement, a mere 2 hours later the technician arrived. Rusty Petric was incredibly efficient, taking care of our 3 printers in less than an hour. He also mentioned that we could earn a few extra bucks by selling IOT our empty toner cartridges. He arranged for the cartridges to be picked up the following day at no charge to us. I also really appreciated how he didn't push me to buy products from him or IOT. I really hate overly aggressive salesman types, but Rusty was very straight forward. Overall I highly recommend IOT and Rusty, I'll certainly use them again for our technology issues! read more

I brought my IPhone to CPR Cell Phone Repair @ Bloomington MN and they charged me $35 without any diagnostic check, on top of that they had my phone for 24hrs I had to call them back to follow up on my phone. The charging port on my daughter's out of warranty iPhone was failing fast. Apple doesn't repair these devices--they just give you the opportunity to buy a refurb phone for big bucks. No thanks. Consulting Yelp, IOT showed up as close to us, and I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. I received a cost estimate for the repair over the phone, and then was quoted the same price when I showed up in person. We were able to get a same day repair, and the device was actually ready 45 minutes after we dropped it off. The store also honored a "pop up" coupon from checking in on my Yelp app, though the coupon was two years (!) old and no one presently on board remembered the promotion. Best of all, the phone was repaired right, the first time, for a very reasonable price. read more

I broke the screen on my iPhone. I was able to carefully search (without cutting my finger!) for a repair place and IOT came up first. I called and they explained their pricing, timing, hours and texted me their location. I then called to shop prices and IOT was priced better than the others. I went there and was out in less than 15 minutes. My phone was back to normal less than 45 minutes after I drove from Edina to Eagan to have it repaired. Got a free gift too :) read more

They lost parts of my phone, did not clean the old adhesive before installing the new parts, and over tightened the clamps during the repair, damaging the new parts. The price was good, but I had to bring it back for rework, and it broke a few days later anyway. I replaced the screen MYSELF afterward and now I see how they screwed it up. (My biggest fear in doing it myself was removing the data cable clip, but I didn't have to worry because they never put it back in.) read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. First, I went in to get my laptop fixed in 2014. The person who helped me told me the laptop was able to be fixed and would be ready in two weeks. After waiting the two weeks and never receiving a call or able to get a hold of anyone, I went into the store. I was told that my laptop was not fixable. No one ever contacted me to tell me this information. When asking why I was not contacted about this, I was told the person who had helped was fired and there was nothing they could do. Due to the poor customer service, IOT gave me a credit. I appreciated that they were trying to repair the situation. Recently, I cracked my phone. I decided to give IOT another chance and have them fix my screen. I dropped my phone off for the allotted time. I picked it up and everything looked good. About a week later, I received a Facebook message from someone that stated they worked at IOT. It stated in the message that he found me because I had dropped my phone off at IOT. It was a personal message that had nothing to do with my phone being fixed. It was a message for his own personal use. This was extremely concerning knowing that I left my phone with personal information. Clearly he took it upon himself to access my contact information for personal use. After not responding, I later received multiple LinkedIn messages from this employee. The messages stated that I was "pretty" and asked how I was doing. It was discomforting and extremely unprofessional. After all of this, my phone screen recently turned blue in the corner after having the screen replaced. This is something that happened after being told only the screen was the part that was broken. I would not recommend this place based on quality , professionalism, and customer service. I dropped off Ipad with cracked screen for repair around 2 pm. Staff was helpful and friendly, but said it wouldn't be ready before 6 pm closing so probably early the next day. I got a call around 2:30 pm the following day that it was ready. I picked it up and everything seemed to be working fine, but the sides were a bit scuffed up (presumably from being pried open) and there were bits of glue? still oozing out of the sides. I wiped it down once I got home and it's been working fine for 3 days now. It's maybe 3 years old, so I'm not so concerned about the quality. This might be a different story if it was brand new. All in all, considering price and convenience, I thought 3 stars is fairly representative of my experience. This is also my first cracked screen repair, so maybe other shops are much worse or much better, that would also sway my feedback if I had previous experiences to compare against. read more

tldr; version -Told me they could repair it, they couldn't. -Told me to come in for an estimate, wasting my time and money. No estimate given. -Did not honor their customer service promise posted in their own office. Long version: I called ahead to see if they could repair the plastic lens over a lumia 810. They said that they couldn't give me a price over the phone but could give me an estimate if I brought it in. Knowing that it's not a common model, I asked if they were sure they could repair it. They said yes, so I decided to drive 40 minutes to the store. Once there they looked at my phone and said they couldn't give me an estimate because they didn't have the part and their pricing manager was out for 3 days. They said they'd order the part and have them call me on Wed with a quote. I said I was fine with that, although it was a waste of a drive, since the whole purpose was to get a quote. 3 days go by and I get a call from them saying they can't find the part and can't do the repair. I voiced my annoyance that I had wasted an 80 minute round trip, since I was told they could do the repair. She said "Yeah, sorry about that". They had a sign up that said if you have a good experience, leave a review. If not, let us know and we'll fix it. They did not fix it, so here's my negative review. I can think of 2 ways this could have been resolved. Either look for a broken lumia 810 that you could get the part from, or create a new one via a dremel and a piece of clear plastic (that's all the part is). read more
