This week I spent over 2 hours of my life and saw the "Lincoln" movie. It educated me. It interested me. It was a really enjoyable experience. This week I spent over 2 hours of my life at the So. Colo. Blvd Verizon store. It frustrated me. It wasted my time. It sucked. . . and the pain continues. I therefore conclude that a better usage of my time would be to go see a movie than to buy a phone from Verizon. So is that the end of the story? . . . No. It's not the end of the story, because I already bought a phone from them. That's how I wasted over 2 hours of my time. (My honey had tried out the Droid Razr and decided to trade "up" for an IPhone 5, so I inherited her 2 week old Razr). And now I've learned that they didn't transfer my contacts from my old phone like they said they did; they didn't wipe the Razr SD card clean of my wife's contacts and phone accts so I'm getting her emails but not mine; and I can't get back my old phone with all of my contacts and saved phone accts on it. Satan: "Welcome to telecommunications hell, David. How may we screw you up?" Me: "Uh, make me deal with Verizon?" Satan: "Hot-cha-cha! You gottit, Bozo! Oh, and have a Merry Christmas. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah . . . " P.S. Mr. Verizon: I've shared this with all my dear Yelp friends and I hope they all give you charcoal for Xmas. Yours, truly, David P.P.S. Wish I had the four star experience that was expressed in the other 2 reviews. We went first thing on Sunday morning because it took over 2 hours the last time we went on a Saturday afternoon. We walked in and were greeted warmly by the woman who takes names at the door. We were referred to a salesman who immediately could care less. He asked what we were in for and waved his had in the general direction of the touch screen phones. I asked very nicely (I might add) if we could please pull up my account to see what my plan for an upgrade included. He seemed annoyed. So we head over to the desk and pulls up our account. My husband asked if there were any incentives for long time customers and we were told not anymore because too many people were complaining that "we treat our loyal customers way better so now we give one price for everyone and there are no rewards". Really? Next time lie to us. So upgrade info in hand he sends us back to the phones and again seemed annoyed when we asked if he could tell us about the different models, what the advantages were etc. We were signing a new 2 year contract and buying 2 phones and wanted to be sure we were getting something that would work for both of us - seemed pretty reasonable to me. We finally chose our phone and walked over to the counter to settle up and transfer the info. I asked how the numbers transfer and he acted annoyed - a common theme at this point. He said the backup assistant it is on your old phone. Ummm - can you please show me? No? Oh I am sorry I can see that you are checking your FACEBOOK on your phone - I did not mean to bother you with silly questions while you are "working"! I wish I was kidding but I am not - he kept picking up his phone and checking FB - I can only imagine that something rad happened on Saturday night and he needed to know right away. I seriously wanted to walk out at this point -it was so ridiculous. This dance was repeated each time I asked a questions - sigh, put down phone and make minimal eye contact and give condescending answer. I have never experienced the wait when I come to this Verizon store. But there is still something fishy about the place. This time when I went in to update my service, there were two people working together and one was clearly in training. The trainee looked up all the rates and flipped his handy iPad around to make sure I could not see it and was like "which one should I pick for her?", . Like I couldn't hear him. So of course after that I realized I need to advocate and I asked lots and lots of questions and made them give me information and I chose of course several grades down from what they proposed to me. So my advice is caveat emptor, buyer beware: this is a massive sales place- just watch out! That all being said I've had pretty good service and experience with Verizon for the past six or seven years. But, what's up Denver? I've been gone for a year -did Verizon's cell phone reception/coverage get a whole lot worse in the area? read more

Bad Management! I waited in line for a good during opening day for the iPhone 12. I met with a salesman and he stated maybe 10 times that they were having a 50% off sale on cases and accessories. He said they never do this but that day they were. It was a busy day, he must have made this pitch hundreds of times before me. As I'm checking out he says he would actually only offer 25% off. I asked to please get me the 50 with managers approval. They laughed at me, treated me poorly and would not sell at the previously stated price. Not great customer service if you ask me. I went in later that night to ask an additional question and the next guy I spoke with was much nicer..... that's the only reason they got the second star. read more

This store seems to have a lot of ups and downs in regards to reviews... And as I've been here numerous times I can tell you it just depends on the day and who is working, as well as what kinda mood everybody is in I guess like everywhere else.. The people who work here are human. They get a bad score from me because less than two months ago I went to upgrade my iPhone 7 Plus to the iPhone X but I asked the sales person first if the phone was cool or if it was a piece of crap and instead of suggesting something better they said it was great and sold me the phone, along with nearly $400 of accessories. Yes, I should've done my research... But also when you specifically ask and they lie to you... smh... she could've easily suggested something else and I would've been open to look at it. She could've been a great sales person and done right by the person who is purchasing. I've now had to jump through big hoops to trade the phone for something that actually works, I've spent countless hours on the phone over the last month and a half since I bought this phone only to find that everything that's wrong with it can't be fixed. Is there a zero star review? If so, I'll find it. About 6 people in this store right now, some of which are in the same group. 2-2.5 hour wait is what's being quoted. But, there are 7-8 employees here. 2 are actually helping customers. The rest, who actually knows what they're getting paid to do. Not take care of the customers is all I know for sure. Kinda wander around. Look over the shoulder of other employees. This place is a joke. I would literally go without a working phone before coming here again. They are also now turning away customers at 450pm even tho they close at 7pm. Again as I write this in the lobby there are 5 groups on customers here. read more

While waiting to have work done on my car at a nearby shop, I stopped in to investigate upgrading from my iPhone 11. I was greeted immediately and directed to table. That is where the "hard sell" started. I can understand this as the associates are probably paid on commission. What I cannot understand is the lack of interpersonal communication. I asked questions about why I needed certain "add-ons" and received little to no explanation. The entire process felt like I was doing them a favor. They did not have the black model in stock so I was told to "pick from what we have in-stock". I asked about transferring data from the old phone to the new one and was told they now charge a $30 fee. When I pushed back, the associate gruffly stated "If you don't like it, search it up on YouTube to figure it out for yourself". I ultimately walked out after 10 minutes of "discussions". Will go find another location (or retail chain like Best Buy) to do my purchase. read more

On two separate occasions, I received extraordinary service from Tim and Oscar, respectively. Both were patient, thorough, professional and gracious despite the presence of other customers who were, let's say, rather demanding. I switched my wifi from Centurylink (highly advised!) and my wireless service from AT&T, in each case improving the stability of my service and saving money in the process. Tip: make an appointment or get there early to avoid a wait. read more

He was patient, effective, friendly, and understanding, plus he was very competent. Verizon overall, and other locations I've visited, would get 1 star. SCOTT is awesome at this location. Man this place was hella crowded on a Tuesday morning. What's everyone doing not at work? Walk in the door. Checked in at 10:30. Walked around. Knew exactly everything I wanted. Look at the clock. 11:35. Go back to ask when I'll be next. My name was taken off the list!!! And I made an appointment for 10:30 am last week!! It was ridiculous. Spoke with the manager and he put me at the front of the line. As soon as I was helped the process went by much quicker. But each employee helps about 4 customers at a time. That's pretty crazy. Plans are very expensive and you get charge for overage data if you use your phone so basically you can do much on your phone if you don't want to get charge for overage data unless you get unlimited plans which are so expensive.'other carriers offer better plans and great coverage. I was way overdue to upgrade my phone, then the battery started failing and I knew it was time. Long story short, I was in and out in less then 45 minutes with my new phone and as much of the data from my old phone transferred that could be. I'm fairly clueless when it comes to certain aspects of smart phone usage and didn't know any of my passwords, hadn't backed up, etc, etc. The very nice and patient guy who helped me didn't even laugh at me (maybe he did after I left, but he was nice enough to stifle it while I was there!). I forget his name, but he was very helpful. I'm happy with my new phone and the good news is that after I got home I found my passwords and The Hubs helped me back up the stuff from my old phone and transfer it to my new phone. I'm feeling generous today, so my updated review for Verizon gives them 3 stars. Most visits here I am quite pleased; it figures the one when I actually purchase something pricey is my mediocre customer experience. :p Came in about 30 mins before closing time on a Friday and let them know I was upgrading my phone. Armando was the person helping me this night, he did things mostly competently but failed to provide me with a paper receipt on my way out in case I wanted to return things -- and I did, the very next day. [Otterbox case because it didn't fit well and I was exploring other options; wireless charger because it wasn't sold at a 25% "work discount" like the Otterbox case was.] I tried to get the receipt online, the website told me the receipts weren't available, and then when I tried to get into the master account, it locked me out. Including the next day. Aaaaaaand with a Verizon customer service person on the phone, at the store, saying he didn't have the "unlock account" functionality right now. [This review isn't taking off for the account issues.] Armando was also a bit judgmental, I think, tried to bring me a car charger, and then when I told him I didn't currently have a vehicle (yes it's true and it sucks); he said "Oh, I can't believe you don't want a charger for your car!" - at which point I had to lock eyes with him and slowly repeat that I didn't have a car. So...between the lack of a paper receipt and the judgment, not so cool. I got a text from Samantha the store manager the next day, thanking me for my patronage, which I though was cool (even though it's just probably mass-blasted out to all the previous day's buyers); and I went back the next day to: a) return most of the accessories (I kept the screen protector) and get a refund b) get the account unlocked (unsuccessful). I forget who helped me but she was fairly competent in helping me and wanting me to be a happy customer. I also got that paper receipt. So...not the best experience...but not horrible. Irritating that I had to go back the next day though to get a receipt. I love my new phone though. [1 HR later edit: Just recalled...the tech I spoke with for about an hour a few weeks earlier getting info and details and sharing opinions and such (John M, "Johnny" on his name tag), I bumped into him again. Told him I did my research and ran with what I'd selected (and was happy with it). He kinda shrugged, looked like he didn't give a damn -- the opposite of how he was 2 weeks before when I *wasn't* spending money at his store -- and then turned to co-workers in the middle of me talking to him and chatted for about 30 seconds. In the middle of me telling him things. Yeah...I see you can turn it on and off, the *illusion* of interest in other people. Turned *me* off -- I won't be talking shop excitedly with other people there again.] Pro tip: be aware you can find screen protectors skins, cases and accessories far more cheaply than what they sell them for at Verizon. HOWEVER, playing devil's advocate here, some employers offer discounts on accessories - some up to 25%. It's worth looking into ahead of time, if you're getting something north of $20, to see if your employer offers that -- probably HR benefits would be a good place to start. I really had a poor experience here. Not usually one to write bad reviews but the sales person I worked with was rude and the way they sell is awful. They have a 35 dollar restocking fee (told me I would have to pay it to change the color of my phone I had purchased not 2 minutes before and was still unopened). The sales person was super flippant about my concerns. I know much of what makes it a bad experience is the policies of Verizon, but sheesh, not at all a business I am proud to support. read more

This store gave me the worst customer service of my life. A week ago we went in to get a new phone for my wife. Everything seemed fine until they offered us a deal on a case, plastic screen and one other item for $100. Sounded fine but then some other sales guy just randomly butted in and said that we can't actually pick those items up in the store because...reasons. It made no sense - all the items were right there on the shelf but whatever - send them to us, we say. Expect them in 2-3 business days, we're told. Five days go past and nothing shows up. I go online to check our order only to see that it says we picked them up in the store!!! Wut??? I call this store 5 times in a row, going through its lame Verizon queue and no one picks up. I mean I had it ringing for a half an hour between the repeated calls I made and no one could be bothered to answer the phone. I contacted Verizon online and complained. They said they'd have the items sent to me overnight and waived the upgrade fee. I thought "cool. some actual service." But it was not to be. The weekend goes by and no items arrive. I go to the store and explain the situation. Both of the numnuts staff who sold me this bill of goods are there but have no explanation for what happened and no solution to my problem. Again - there are shelves right behind them full of the items I ordered 7 days before but there is "nothing they can do." When I asked to speak directly to the store manager, she literally hid in the back and refused to come out. She told her associate to tell me I was in a meeting and there was nothing he could do. I was supposed to just go home and wait for these items to arrive. I will never go to this store again. I am going to be cancelling our Verizon service right away. Do yourself a favor and do NOT even try to get any help or service or products from this store. I suggest dumping Verizon completely. BTW: I did call Verizon support and filed a formal complaint about the manager and her store. I literally hope she gets fired. read more

Went on a Saturday at 10am with a simple question about whether a trade-in phone was "cosmetically acceptable". Only a few people at the store - got checked in - the greeter told us it would only take a little while. Took a long while. One person at the cash register working on a single transaction the entire time. 2 people switching on and off as "greeters" and I think sales associate. No signs of anyone else. Crowd inside grew and grew. Store may have completed one transaction while I was there? Finally left after 11 am because I had to be somewhere at 11:30am. If they're aiming for good customer service, they may want to rethink how they queue people. Never want to go back there. Really hesitant to go through the pain of trading up to a new phone now, too. If I went through that for just a simple question, not sure how long it would take to actually transact something. Disappointing. read more

This place is way too much of a mixed bag when it comes to customer service, which is unfortunate since it's the one nearest to me. One big issue I had here was when I was looking to finally update to a smart phone. I'm on a family plan, and while I didn't have an upgrade for my number, we had a few on the account. I went in to browse phones and get prices, only to have them tell me "Oh, there's no upgrades on this account." Yes...yes there is. But they wouldn't budge. I ended up going to a different store where, yes, they did in fact confirm I had an upgrade and helped me out. The second to last time I was here, I was having a number of phone issues-battery, touch screen, etc. The gentleman who helped was very friendly, and without even really checking it out, took me at my word and told me they'd send a new one to me within a week. Better! But when I went in again just a few weeks and was having severe battery/performance issues with a newer phone (not even 6 months old), they told me to factory reset, and that was all they could because I didn't have "insurance" on it. Wait....are you telling me that that my phone, which is less than 6 months old, doesn't still have a warranty on it?! That's just plain dumb. So unfortunately, the bad visits/experiences have outweighed the goods ones. I'll be going to a different store the next time I have an issue. read more

Walking into a cell phone store is like going to get a colonoscopy, or walking into Staples. You're not there unless you have to be, and you want to get out as fast as possible. I was on a mission for a phone charger. Someone greeted me right as I walked in and directed me to the right product for my phone immediately. A few seconds later another employee rang me up on his iPad and I was on my way. A painless transaction for a necessary accessory. Had a bad experience here today...stopped in to get an iPad cover for my new iPad. It was 85 degrees out and I had my puppy with me, so I decided to bring him in rather than leave him in the car. I never had any problems before at the Kipling location, but the GM who was helping sign people in said dogs weren't allowed and I would most likely have to wait outside. After trying to decide what to do, I said I was leaving to go to the Kipling Verizon since they were fine with my dog on a hot day. Last place I would recommend. Staff was rude and wouldn't honor the warranty of their products. It was incredibly clear that the man checking people in doesn't care about people staying with Verizon. They aren't the only game in town and with service, or lack there of, I wouldn't recommend going with them. Definitely don't buy ANY accessories from this store. They don't back them up. If I wanted to go through the manufacturer I would have bought it from them and not paid you guys $40 twice. Management needs to seriously re-train their staff. My family has been with verizon for ten years now. We've gone into the store, called support, done it all and this experiences was one of the best. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted and taken care of. Going in 30 min before they closed, I was worried we would encounter a disgruntled sales associate ready to go home for the day. However, Eamon gave excellent customer service and was even cracking jokes with us. Our purpose of the visit was to add my boyfriend to the plan and get him an iPhone. Eamon laid out all our options with the plan, directed us to the iPhone section, pointed out the $1 iPhone 4S special and recommended a few cases. With his friendly guidance and our decisive minds we were signed up, hooked up and in the car within 30 min. Thank you Eamon and thanks Verizon. Still the best read more

I have been to this store 4 times in the past two weeks trying to upgrade my phone. The first visit: I was told they couldn't even tell me if I was due for an upgrade since the person in charge of my account (mom) wasn't there (okay whatever that's gonna happen). The second visit: My mom confirmed the upgrade and I went back only to be told she has to be there. So I went to another location where all they had to do was send her an email and boom, I was eligible to get the upgrade (during that visit I was short of cash because I changed my mind for the 64Gb). The third visit: An hour wait. Finally the fourth visit: Excited to finally get my wonderful new phone finally I walk in, it's not too busy and the lady says she'll be right with me. I browse for 5 minutes and then four others walk. I look down for a moment only to see all four of them being helped. I walked out exhausted from this TERRIBLY RUN LOCATION. Avoid this pit of agony. Went in for a simple switch from a family plan to a prepaid family plan. Initial wait was 15mins and I was first in line when I entered. I was helped by Armando who was super nice but hadn't a clue what he was doing. No one seemed to know the procedure to transfer two lines to prepaid. Ended up having to pay $5 extra which would be credited on next bill. Verizon is simply the worst but there coverage is solid in Colorado. Every time I go into a Verizon store it's soul destroying. The entire process of switching two lines to prepaid took an hour and twenty mins. Rubbish!! read more

This is the worst experience I've ever had in my whole life. It took me six trips to the store to activate my phones. Communication is awful. Today I'm standing outside in the heat in line and the manager named Cody is letting people cut in line. All I wanted was to pay a bill. Then he lets me in and more people cut in line while I'm waiting for the machine. I am waiting and he says he was kind enough to let me in and that I should have been waiting outside! I have had nothing but a waste of time and frustration with this store! When I said that I have had a lot of frustrations with this store and I am thinking about switching back to my old provider, he said" cool!". I asked him for his name ... he's the manager!!! I should have read the reviews here before venturing into this store. But reading the reviews now, my terrible experience makes so much sense now. I went into the store today to simply find out about Verizon's plans, on the idea that I would like to switch from AT& T to Verizon, with the Iphone Xs Max. After waiting 40 minutes for a rep, a rude and caustic rep by the name of Tiffany is what fate threw my way. From the onset, she appeared disinterested, abrasive, and incompetent. She suggested I could look up Verizon's Wireless plans "on the internet," or better yet, on "my phone." When I informed her just how bad that came across and demanded to speak to a manager, she misrepresented my entire qualms to the manager. Would you believe that while I was making my grievance clear to the manager that I wouldn't waste 45 minutes hanging out at Verizon if the simple answer were to be to "look it up on the internet," the same abrasive rep (Tiffany) mouthed off "you don't have to come here sir, you truly don't have to come here and waste 45 minutes of your time." Talk about employee of the month eh? Looks like I'll be sticking with AT & T, they sure haven't been getting my money for the past 12 years by providing bad customer service. ps. An older lady also walked out at the same time I was making my grievance clear to one of your managers, saying to her and I that never again would she step foot in that store, or Verizon for that matter. I just shared an experience at a Verizon store so I'll share the one I also had two months ago when I first became a business customer. I walked into this location, waited to get helped, got ignored by the manager, got helped by a rep, got approved for ten business lines zero down, and the manager came to introduce himself. Well hi! I look poor but I'm not so poor after all, huh? First experience getting stereo typed at a Verizon store and it just happened again today (there's a separate review on it) The business solutions manager, ohhhhhhh boy. I thought they got paid to help and solve issues not to create the issues but this man created a nightmare! I spent countless hours with Verizon on the phone trying to fix my account because this stores business manager who I was told was "the best seller!" before becoming a manager, slammed my account with lines when I only went in for an iPad. Yes, I got approved for ten lines zero down but THAT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT to slam my account with services and lines I declined! That's FRAUD! I know sales, and fraud isn't sales. Selling is when you persuade someone to purchase something they didn't even know existed, not adding it to my account because I said no and you can't overcome that objective! I am a current sprint and AT&T customer and I was REALLY hoping I could trust my business with Verizon but I was SO wrong! It's so embarrassing the people working customer service. It's embarrassing how they represent companies. Why go through the hiring process, drive, and waste your time to IMPRESS (useless) managers, answer questions like a robot, and to follow a script if the second you're left alone, you're terrible, rude, and instead of selling me on something you're persuading me to walk out of the store IMMEDIATELY?! read more

Horrible Service. Terrible attitude. I'm amazed how poorly I was treated at this store

I have unfortunately had nothing but bad experiences at this Verizon location. I have been to this location four times, and to this day I beat myself up for not learning my lesson the first time. Eventually, as a customer, I have to decide that a phone company is not worth the time, energy, and stress that this store has put me through. On the first three occasions, I walked into the store with a simple question, only to be put on a wait list each time. The shortest time I waited at this store was 45 minutes. On one occasion I was told to go to a Verizon retail store in order to take care of some business that customer service representatives could not do over the phone. I arrived at the store, waited for 1 hour, and upon being helped I was told there was nothing the store could do to help me. The store refused to acknowledge the conflicting messages I had received from cooperate over the telephone. To solve the issue, this store had me use their telephone to call customer service, which took another 30 minutes. The end result was being told "we're sorry, sir, there's nothing we can do in this store." The manager politely explained this to me, yet did nothing despite my frustration. The waste of time continued, as I went into the store earlier this week. I asked the greeter at the door if the store could perform a specific action. If they could, I would be willing to wait in line to be helped, but if they couldn't I would have rather left right away. Naturally, the person at the door did not have an answer to my question and furthermore put me on the waiting list. When I was seen 20 minutes later, my question was answered: "no, sir, we cannot do that at this store." Once more I realized how stupid I was to return to a store that has repeatedly told me "no," only after wasting my time and energy. My patience with this store has been exasperated, and despite the efforts of three different managers, nothing has changed. Bait and switch. I ordered a phone through Verizon telephone service. When I learned I could not get it via overnight delivery, the phone representative told me I could go to a Verizon store to obtain the phone. I got there. They looked up my record, then proceeded to give me the wrong phone and try to charge me an additional $40 for the upgrade as well as twice as much as the telephone representative told me I'd have to pay for the phone. Thank goodness I realized they were giving me the wrong phone before I opened the box; else I would have been paying for a $35 restocking fee!
