Horrible location, no one greets you or even asks you if you need help, we got completely ignored and not even acknowledged.

I walked in to the Verizon corporate store in Crystal Lake to find the sales force huddled in a corner. I suddenly felt like i did not fit it. The store looked in disarray. Finally the sloppy guy with long hair took me. I was there to turn my phone in for a trade in credit with a small crack and have my esim transfered. My phone was in complete working order with a tiny crack.  Woodstock was not equipped for the trade in. It really was a tiny crack it was an Ultra 23 just over a year old. I was still using the phone to do everything for 4 weeks waiting for assurion to come through. When I found out they would accept a small crack and  Assurion could not replace my phone for 4 weeks already, I decided to upgrade. After I bought my phone from Verizon online I went to the verizon store closest to me, which was woodstock. They were all dressed very professionally and one even opened the door for me. They helped with transferring my information since my wifi at home was not strong enough. Ali, who has only worked there for about 2 months was taking good care of me. Some questions were difficult and his manager jumped right in. That was a clean store with professional workers. A big difference between the 2 stores. In Crystal Lake, I asked him a question about my esim, he  ignored me. The next thing he said was that I was good to go. I said wait a minute, I want to watch you wipe my phone and talk about the estimate and my esim. He said my phone was wiped and in the back room. I REALLY wanted to check it. He said it had all be done and I was all set to go Like "don't let the door hit you:. I said I wanted to talk about my trade in, he said verizon will get in touch with me in a couple of weeks. I believed him and left. What choice did I have. Minutes after I left the corporate store, I got an email. Crystal Lake had tagged my phone that I turned in was unresponsive and cracked up. He gave me $400 for an one year old new 23 Ultra. I'm pretty sure it's worth much more. When I got home no messages were going thru and I could not make wifi calls. Then I realized he had NOT transferred my esim.  They were already 25 plus minutes then going to woodstock. Now my trip home was over an hour. I really think that corporate store should be shut down. Stopped in today to have my SIM card replaced and was helped by an associate named Matt (I think). He was incredibly helpful and very friendly. By far, this was the most pleasant experience I have ever had at a Verizon store. He was able to resolve the issue with my SIM card promptly and also recommended adding on the 5G Home network to our plan due to our eligibility for a substantial discount, and I'm loving the performance of the service so far. Walked in to see if there was a good deal available to upgrade our phones. The manager sat on his unmovable ass and said the computers where down and suggested that we go to the Lake-in-the-Hills location. Fortunately a young associate jumped in and took us around the store reviewing our options and various products. He was great! (I don't recall his name). We left after several minutes with the manager still sitting where he was when we arrived. read more

Was notified by Verizon that 3 billing inquiries were made on my account to get a duplicate bill. So I call the customer service line and found out that 6 inquiries were actually made on my account that day. And that the person doing the inquiry verified that it was me in the store! I was at work and did not go into the store or make any inquiries. I was told they were done by Jason in the store over a period of 3 hours. I decided to go to the store and ask Jason why he was making inquiries into my account and why he verified I was in the store if I wasn't. I was told by Rich the manager that that was not true and that 6 inquiries were not made but I had customer service on the line saying that indeed they were done and all by Jason. Turns out Jason lied to verify my account because I was not in the store. He told me someone with a phone from my account came in... but I AM THE ONLY NAME ON THE ACCOUNT! No one should gain access to my account unless I am there. He then told me he was trying to fix a phone that had texting issues??? Then why did he request duplicate bills 3 times and look into my account 3 additional times for various reasons all notated on Verizon's log. He did this in a 3 hour span. Even customer service could not understand this and has decided to investigate this. I was told by Rich that since they work for Verizon they can access anyone's account without permission even a stranger driving down the street. He was bragging that he has the right to make inquiries into anyone's account whenever they want. Why would this idiot have access to people information if he lacks the integrity to use it properly? So Verizon is investigating why this happened and they have apologized profusely and a formal complaint has been filed. Stay away from this store! The comments from Verizon prove how pathetic this store is. I had no issue with my bill! Read... I know it's hard. read more

Came in last week to purchase an Apple Watch. Unfortunately they didn't have the exact model that I wanted, but they made the whole experience great. They also were able to make my monthly bill a little lower which is always awesome. Can't wait to get my watch in the mail, thanks again guys!! read more

They put an old phone on my plan and bamboozled me into a 2 year contract after they verbally told me I could get rid of the phone anytime. Don't believe a word they say unless you ask 10 more questions. They are not honorable. read more

The crew at MY Verizon store in Crystal Lake are absolutely the best...had my phone stolen while on vacation (out of the country) so needed to kill that one & get another one..which I did & they were able to recover everything to get me up & running..very personable & patient as it took awhile but it's all there...5 STARS FOR SURE!!!! read more

Pretty pathetic service here. I was told that they were unable to sync my new iPhone with my car Bluetooth - that they weren't trained to do that. I've always had that done with other Verizon stores, no problem. They told me to go to my dealership, which is 20 miles away, to have it done. read more

Wanted to check inventory on two phones to purchase prior to making a appointment. Tried calling this store in Crystal Lake 2.5 hours prior to store closing. Phones are transferred to a call center because no one picks up the phone at the store. No one at the call center can check inventory at the store. Wasted 1 hour of my time trying to find out if this Crystal Lake, IL location have the two phones I want to purchase. Why would i want to make an appointment only to go there and find out they do not have the phones. If they are that busy, pick up the phone and take my number to call me back. Poor customer service all the way around as the sales team member at the call center just transferred me back into the VRU system because he could only place orders and not check inventory. read more

We visited on Friday evening looking to trade in/upgrade two iPhone 6 phones to iPhone 7 phones. My boyfriend had visited the store earlier in the day and spoke face-to-face with a customer service/sales representative - Dien - about an offer on the Verizon Wireless website in which you could trade in the iPhone 6 and receive a 32 GB iPhone 7 for free. When we returned, we began the transaction with Dien and my boyfriend was initially unable to complete it because his name on the account did not match the name on his driver's license (he goes by his middle name socially, which is what was on the account). This is a frustration that he has dealt with several times previously with Verizon and is continually assured it's fixed. He called the account owner to change his name through online account management, and in the meantime, we took care of my upgrade. Dien was at times condescending and borderline rude to me. When discussing charges and payment, he made the comment, "And we're going to take care of that right now." I took this to mean I would be making my payment at that moment; he followed it by saying snidely, "You're welcome." Apparently it meant that they were waiving some equipment or upgrade fee (which really wasn't explained to me well). I opted to upgrade to the 128 GB iPhone 7 which meant a $10/month charge, plus the balance of what I owed on my iPhone 6. It is my understanding that this will be broken down by higher charges on the first few bills and then credited back on later bills (after the 3rd, I believe). However, I never received or signed any paperwork in-store explaining these charges and their breakdown, and the e-mails I received several hours after returning home do not mention any rebates or crediting back - only the monthly charges. I am waiting to see if my bill is going to increase at this point after asking several times in-store and being told repeatedly that it would not. Several times we tried to address my boyfriend's upgrade. Each time there was some issue that prevented it, and Dien would say, "Let me finish her phone and then we'll look at yours." Even when Dien would initiate my boyfriend's transaction, there would be some reason that he would then need to focus on my phone and not complete the second upgrade. He started to discuss different numbers and rebate options; each time my boyfriend tried to bring up the "buy and get for $0 with trade in" from the website (which he had pulled up on his phone and which he had already spoken to this particular employee about in-person earlier in the day), Dien would interrupt and say things like, "Can I finish?" or "You're not listening to me." After several repeated interruptions and clearly getting nowhere with asking about this particular offer, my boyfriend had had enough and asked the representative if there was a reason for the attitude and constant interruptions. A manager who was helping another customer stepped in, and even as we spoke to the manager, the sales representative continued to interrupt to provide his version of what was happening. While the manager did give us her card and offer to complete our transaction, we opted to take the rest of our business elsewhere. Both my boyfriend and I are experienced in customer service positions. From beginning to end, the transaction was handled poorly. Despite completing the online survey that was sent and responding to a text message survey that was sent to me, no one has followed up from the store to address our complaints. We upgraded the second phone less than 24 hours later at the Verizon Wireless store in Lake in the Hills and received exceptional service there. read more

I was at this location about few months ago. I came in with a Moto Droid I needed help in fixing something. The young Mexican looking guy helped me out. He didn't really do a whole lot other then try and sell me a new phone the whole time. I was kind of pissed off. Soon as he found out from his negotiating and badgering didn't work on selling me something else he pretty much walked away without helping me with my problem. So then I left!!! Before I begin I have to mention that I have been with verizon wireless for 6 years. I went to this verizon wireless store to look at a new phone I wanted since my contract ended in 3 days from this visit. I was immediately attacked with there "sales men" Without starting a simple conversation with me, the guy asks for my account password, my phone number, and the last 4 digits of my social. When I got snotty back with the guy asking what for I am just looking at phones, he said he would upgrade me that day. Who wouldn't give out the info than? So I did. After he played on his IPAD he tells me, I can't do anything until your contract is up. It is up in 3 days! C'mon man! I stupidly asked about some other phones I was interested in and the guy didn't know a thing about any products he was suppose to be representing. Holding an IPad at work may make you look tech savvy, but it also says you don't know anything about the products you sell. I walked out of this store and to this day (33 days) I am a T-mobile customer. Since T-mobile pays your early terminations fees, I am pulling my wife out of her contract as well. Great customer service. I broke my phone the they helped set me up. Taught me how to use and new phone and did not pressure me. Took their time with me and even connected my new phone to a speaker that i purchased. I didn't find much value in the past to buy at a store as opposed to just purchasing through Verizon.com. Props to Carol last year for spending an insane amount of time getting our s4's set up! Absolute worst Verizon experience ever. I am livid. We purchased a phone for my daughter for Christmas and as we were trying to set up the new plan and add the extra line I asked the representatives in the store to please confirm that everything was completed and done so correctly as we were leaving town and would not be back before the holidays. As you can probably surmise, the activation and plan change was NOT done correctly. In fact, speaking with one of Verizon's back office customer service representatives, they shared with me that the store personnel had done nothing. They did not change the plan, did not activate the phone, they didn't even turn the line on like they were supposed to. It appears that all they did was throw the phone in the bag and push us out the door. So, I scheduled an appointment to have the issue resolved, as is now customary during the pandemic. I get to the store at the appointed time and there is no one there. I checked the store hours on the door and online. They should have been open. It appeared from all of the delivery notices stuck to the door and windows that someone had just decided not to open the store that day. How do you run a business like that? Arbitrarily deciding whether or not to show up and open the store, knowing that you have customers arriving for scheduled appointments. read more

My husband and I stopped in to see if we could change my phone plan.We had a wonderful experience in this shop. We did not have to wait long and the team was friendly. We had stopped in to down grade my plan but thanks to Adeel we were able to find a plan within our budget with all the same features. I would recommend my friends and family to visit this Verizon. It would be easier to switch carriers than get help at this store. It is the closest Verizon store to my house but there is always a 15-20 minute wait. I am thinking about changing to another wireless provider (even though I have been with Verizon since 1999) because this location is so difficult to deal with. My recommendation if you are in the area is to find another store or move to Sprint or AT&T. read more

Be careful! I felt a little deceived after upgrading to an iPhone 7 and purchasing a high price bundle that included a case that should never be sold at a store that is getting your business based on the success and satisfaction the customer gets from the the products, service, and advice the sales team provides. If you choose to use this store I wish you good luck and hopefully a better experience. My advice is to use Amazon for a good case and if you purchase a glass screen protector make sure the surface of the laminate does not protrude above the protective rim of the case. Also the sales person said my iPhone 6 was warped and that is the reason the phone stopped working. They proved this by setting the phone on it's back on the counter and tapping it causing it to wobble. The phone is not warped and the wobble is caused by the camera lens protruding on one corner of the phone. Deceitful at best. Thank you Crystal Lake, IL Verizon and good team work. read more
