This Verizon store is no longer inside the mall. It is outside on the side with Silverspot Cinema, easy to find next to Hawkers. I was so lucky to be able to work with Rich -- incredibly knowledgeable and, just as important, very patient. It took me a minute or more to learn how to swipe on the new phones. Employee of the store lied to my wife about processing a buyback for her iPhone. He apparently was fired for crediting other customers' buybacks to his own account. I visited the store and was told the manager would contact me to resolve the problem. No response after a week and a half despite multiple Attempts to contact the manger (Travis Newkirk) and sales associates. Do not shop here! Terrible customer service and untrustworthy management. I'm a longtime Verizon customer who had begun to use more data than my 8G/month data plan permitted without surcharges. Frankly, the online Verizon website was all but useless in guiding me toward a new plan. Full of flash and graphics, it offered very little concrete information, and I found it confusing on the financial and usage implications of various alternatives. However, David Johnson at the Verizon Retailer Store in Chapel Hill proved to be a wonderful in-person guide. He was courteous and quick to understand my questions, and within 10 minutes, he had pointed me to an very satisfactory new plan, thoroughly explaining its pricing implications. By moving to autopay monthly, I found I could save a significant amount. When he realized I was over 55, moreover, he volunteered that I could receive an even lower monthly rate just by claiming that age status. The result: I went from 3 lines with an 8G cap at one price to unlimited data monthly on 3 lines at a lesser total cost. When I needed to ask followup questions a few days later, he was equally gracious and helpful. Highly recommended. read more

I traded my iPhone 6 for an 8 in September, 2017. Fully expecting a credit for the phone, fairly standard. When I dropped my phone off, my sales rep was not there, they took my 6 locked it in the back and said I'd hear back Monday. Within days my rep had taken another job, suddenly there was no record of my phone and I was out of luck. Months after I would stop in and inquire about the missing phone/credit. Each time a new rep listened to my tale, assured my they would take care of it and always to no avail. The store manager acted as if I had made this up referring to this as my "alleged phone." Like I didn't have anything better to do with my time? Moral of the story: Turnover is high and always get a signature to confirm any transaction. read more

We received outstanding service from Travis and Juele at this location. The store has recently moved - across the mall - and there are a number of new faces. Travis, the store team lead, was extremely professional and accommodating while assisting us with an issue that had arisen with our cell phone and service. We stopped in the next day for a minor follow up and received equally outstanding service from one of Travis's new hires - Juele. She was admittedly new but knowledgeable and provided great customer service. This will be our go to Verizon location from this point forward! read more

Recently got an upgrade to an IPhone 8 . I was told there was a $30 ungrade fee which I thought I paid at the store . However I see the $30 fee is on my new monthly bill . The $35 I paid at this store was a device set up fee. I was never told about this fee or I would have set up the phone on my own. Very deceptive practice. Don't assume their offer to help is just good service. I should have reviewed the invoice closer. read more

These people are lazy and not well trained. I work in the tech industry and needed to swap out my sim card in a damaged phone to a backup until damaged phone can be replaced. These people gave some song and dance on why they couldn't accomplish the task. Then offered to sell me a new phone for $650. I went to Holly Springs store who took care of the issue on site in less than 30 mins. Avoid this store until the employees are retrained or replaced. read more

I have had a Note for the past four to five years & purchased an LG V20 at a store in Charlotte (live in Durham). Well, I loathed that phone after coming from two consecutive Note phones. I contacted John, the Regional Manager, who also manages the Chapel Hill store. John was very understanding and helpful. He directed me to Travis, the store manager at University Place, to help me.
