I will only go to this Manatee Ave Verizon store. Ian and Brandon are amazing! Professional, knowledgeable and courteous!

Review for Nick at Verizon on Manatee Avenue: I had a very disappointing experience with Nick at the Verizon store on Manatee Avenue. Despite having insurance on my previous phone, I was supposed to receive a mail-back for the old device. Instead, John provided me with a replacement phone, and now I'm being charged the full price of a new phone, even though I just paid off my last iPhone. This situation has caused me unnecessary financial strain and frustration. I hope Verizon addresses this issue promptly. I've contact Verizon at least four times since I've expected a phone call back I haven't received any and this phone is worse than the last iPhone I had which is an earlier version this phone doesn't receive phone calls. I receive nothing but spam constantly to now my insurance is messed up because I don't answer my phone because it's nothing but people from India and now my insurance is screwed up and I'm getting bills because I don't answer my phone even though I pay an arm and a leg for Verizon and now I pay for a new phone 1200+ bill smh !!!! CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW???? read more

Salesman James was extremely rude and disrespectful to me yesterday during my trade-in of my iPhone 14 to get a I 17 phone. This is the Verizon store located in the Bealls Plaza just off State Route 70 and the corner of Creekwood Road in Bradenton. At first he told me I owed him over $200 and then he told me I owed him $196 and then when I said no, he said OK how does $60 sound? He had me leave for one hour and come back, he had already transported everything from my phone to the new phone that I was getting at Verizon, when I told him I thought there was no charge as advertised on TV. he told me "this is America. Nothing is free"!! he does not need to be working for customer service with Verizon, or customer service with any company!!! he made the nicely nice talk of a salesman at first and then I soon realized he was a wolf in sheep's clothing, taking advantage of a senior citizen!! His behavior was an outrage and disgraceful!! read more

I have been to multiple Verizon retail stores but this was by far the most inviting, friendly, and attentive group of employees i have ever encountered. I was greeted as soon as i entered by all staff, Chris was a great help knew exactly what i needed and helped me with the process of getting my new phone quick without any issues. I highly recommend this location for great friendly customer service. read more

Worst Customer Service I Have ever experienced at a cell phone store by Ian. Had us wait so he could get lunch from Poppos then served another customer who arrived after us first, stared at me like a moron, then in 30 seconds told us they couldn't help us at non Factory store, which we could have known 30 minutes earlier if he had simply asked why we were there. read more

Horrible customer service by Ian. Only 1 other customer in the store - Ian seemed irritated to be bothered. After waiting for about 20 minutes we just left. We were trying to switch our 30 year AT&T account to Verizon - it seemed very rude and disrespectful. I rarely leave bad reviews, but it was merited this time. read more

I have been waiting with 3 other people for 25 minutes now the lone employee has yet to acknowledge that we exist. I'm pretty sure that I could write a 20 paragraph essay on how terrible that this Version store is before this jerk realizes that we're here. All that I need to do is turn in my old phone... I will NEVER come to this store again. In fact I'm considering dropping Verizon out of spite. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER USING THIS STORE. There are too few employees and being ignored for so long is ridiculous. read more

The manager named Mike has cost us an additional $300 by adding charges like a protection plan, hidden fees for adding a phone, etc. We made it very clear that we did not want to pay for phone insurance, yet we have been charged for 2 months of phone insurance on every phone in our family plan. He made the process of upgrading our phones very confusing. He thought he was being cute and funny by pressuring us to buy phone cases to "increase his commission". I am very upset that we are out by hundreds of dollars now, and I wish we had used the online service instead. Not to mention, Verizon's new changes are confusing and costly! read more

I came here and Michael went above and beyond to help me transfer my service from metro and setup my phone. Very patient and knowledgeable. Thank you for making it a easy and painless experience! read more

Monday morning December 9, 2016. I went to this store with a friend, intending to purchase two phones and a couple of car chargers. The two gentlemen (if I can call them that) behind the registers were busy, one with a customer who spoke limited English and one with a customer setting up a new account. We had no problem waiting, except that neither employee bothered even looking up to acknowledge us. Let alone saying "Be with you as soon as I can." We waited ten minutes by my clock, wandering around looking at things, hoping to at least be greeted. No such luck. When the employee working with the person whose English was limited finished, the other employee asked him to come over and look at something on the computer. Neither still acknowledged our presence. Instead, the one who'd been called over spent his time fixing whatever was wrong with what had been entered, while the other just stood there. Didn't ask us if we needed help with something. Didn't look at either of us. Just ignored both of us. Another eight minutes went by. My friend finally went up to the employee who was just standing there and said politely "Excuse me. We just need some quick information about a car charger." The employee finally looked at her and said "Be with you as soon as I can." Now we're at twenty minutes, and a phone call comes in. The employee who'd said "Be with you as soon..." hands the phone to the other employee. Instead of telling the caller "Sorry, I have customers waiting, I'll be with you as soon as possible", he took the call! We gave it another five minutes, by the clock, then left. 25 completely wasted minutes of being ignored by people who supposedly are in business to take our money. We went to another Verizon dealer and spent our two thousand dollars there. We were left wondering whether, if we'd been men in business suits, we would at least have been acknowledged. This is a case of either ridiculously poor training, or ridiculously rude people. In either event, they lost our business and that of any friends we could tell. read more

Similar experience to Ellen in Fairfax. Line Protection was added to two of our lines without our consent. In addition a change to the monthly line access went from $15-$40. I received emails while standing in the store about changes and he brushed it off as "just an automatic thing" - nothing had changed. LIES! He told us one amount for a phone trade-in and when we looked it up online it was $5 less. The $5 dollars isn't the problem. The store manager telling us one amount and giving another is the problem. When I inquired why his screen was showing my next bill over $500 and our current bill was around $360 he brushed it off again as if it wasn't accurate. Michael "Mike" the car salesman like manager was IMO cocky and arrogant. I did not care for him. I've called the store to ask them to help fix or correct these changes. They will not return my call. I called Verizon today and customer service rep was amazing - fixed EVERYTHING he messed up including moving contracts around to lines that didn't even have contracts. Notice his local reviews are all 5 star - if you are out of town - reviews are not good. What should have taken less than 30 minutes was well over an hour - close to 2. We even were asked to leave and go shopping and come back. He was also rude to the young lady working beside him making a couple of snarky comments. Obviously I won't do business here again - will go to a true Verizon store in the future! read more
