Gerald was so rude and dismissive, I cannot believe he is a manager there. I have been a Verizon customer for over 20 years and have never been treated so poorly. I upgraded my daughter's phone who is serving in the military overseas so she cannot get it herself and no one explained to me that the SIM would be locked and she could not use the phone for at least 90 days! I have been paying the bill for a year and a half just so that she can keep and use that number while she is overseas. She uses an overseas SIM card so that her local calls don't cost an arm and a leg. She has been unable to use the phone and Gerald was very rude about the whole thing. If Verizon can unlock the SIM at 90 days, they can unlock it at 30 days. He also would not guarantee me that it would even be unlocked after 90 days or if I paid off the phone in full. He just shrugged his shoulders and walked off. It is ridiculous that I have to pay for a phone and my daughter can't even use it. You should consider some additional customer service training for management. read more

It's nice to see that a couple of people had good experiences. I don't know if these are Verizon employees or their family members, however, I believe 1 or 2 of them. The fact that someone is impressed that a Verizon CSR transferred the data from one phone to another sounded great until you hear that Verizon charged them for that service! That's ridiculous! It's also nice to hear that another person empathized that customer service jobs are hard, if that was a real review. The other good review I saw was a person who was purchasing a few things and the CSR was helpful with that process.... of course, let's keep that commission rolling in. There were so many bad experiences and I truly hope this doesn't sound like I'm trying to one up any of them, because all of those experiences are horrible and deserve to be told and read. Here is my experience which is so difficult and disgusting to tell still upsets me. Today started with me looking for any Verizon store to visit other than Cortez Rd and 14th Street. After being there with my husband and kids for hours to open a 5 cellphone business account, in-car wifi, house & business wifi, as well as home & business landlines. I was then told it was taking a long time due to their computer issues. I was then told they couldn't set up a business account for me, even though my business was verified through my sunbiz.org account. I was then told by the manager (I don't remember his name, but I remember that he had tattoos, because we were complimenting each other's tattoos when I first arrived), if we couldn't finish in 10 minutes I would have to return the next day because it was closing time, even though we had been there for over 3 hours. Due to the stress of that, my husband noticed signs from me that an epileptic seizure was coming on. Seeing as it was 8:01pm my husband was told that if he went outside to get my rescue medicine, they wouldn't let him back in with it. OR... I could go outside alone walking on the concrete and hope that I would successfully navigate around the concrete parking bumpers without having a seizure and/or serious injury. So obviously we left and I due to the extreme stress, I had a seizure in the car. Then, 2 days later we went to Verizon in Sarasota. We thought that we had a great experience there, and though it wasn't great, it was good. However, I never got a lot of the features that I was told I was getting. It's very sad. You guys are the McDonald's of cell phone companies, you can have the worst customer service, charge a lot, and not care about the hard earned money that your customer's give you, because no matter how many customers and respect you lose or how many people you upset. It will never be important enough to you or enough customers to put you out of business. That's why you will never change or follow through with your empty promises. Hopefully, Yelp is correct and I will find a. CSR in Palmetto who will actually care and help. read more

RUDE! Attitude from the start! We went to this store on Sunday morning shortly after opening and signed in on the kiosk. One customer was being helped and several people were standing around. A guy who claimed he was a manager yelled across the store asking what we wanted. Not off to a good start. We walked over and explained that the phones we had gotten the day before at another store were still not connecting to the Verizon cellular service. He flat out refused to help us because we had not bought our phones at his store. He told us that if we could go to the other store (45 min away) to get them, we could go back there to get help connecting them. He said because it was Sunday he didn't have enough people working to help us. This was despite the fact that there were no other customers waiting, the kiosk showed that there were no appointments scheduled for several hours, and he was just sitting there on his iPad when we came in and went back to it when we left. He was so incredibly rude and nasty from the start and doesn't make me feel at all good about switching to Verizon. When we asked to speak to a manager he said he was the manager. When we asked for his name, he gave us one, but I doubt it was the correct name. We left and went to the store on 30th street and they were so incredibly nice and helpful. If you have a choice between these two stores that are 10 min apart, go to the other store. read more

Our Verizon Home Wifi router went out. We called Verizon and they set it up for us to take our defective one into this store on 14th Street in Bradenton and get a new one. My wife took it in to this Verizon store as she was instructed by the phone customer service person and was met by the most rude, disrespectful person she's ever met. He said he could not help her and when she didn't understand and was asking him to explain he shouted her down, raised his voice and was totally disrespectful of a 74 year old women. She called me while there and when I went to talk to him I got 3 words out of my mouth before he started to interrupt and shout me down and treat me the same way. Seriously loud yelling. We have been Verizon customers for over 2 decades with a very large Family account of nearly $400 a month. This rude Verizon employee said his name was Gerald. He basically told my wife to leave as well as hanging up on me. Nobody treated him rudely until he treated us so incredibly rudely over and over. My wife left that store, drove to a nearby T-Mobile store and within an hour or two our entire, decades long, very expensive account at Verizon was ended and moved to T-Mobile. We were met by very friendly helpful people which was a nice counterbalance to the disrespect from Gerald at Verizon. I will also make sure that when I finalize my last accounting with Verizon that they know that Gerald (or whatever his name really is) was the reason for losing a long term Family account. By the way, for the same or better service we will be paying about $100 less at T-Mobile. But the best thing is not having to deal with someone like Gerald again. read more

I recently retired from a job where I had an IT department taking care of my cellular needs and it was time for new phones, etc. I worked with Everett, Matt and others. They could not have been more helpful. They assisted in porting over to my new devices for a charge that I was more than willing to pay. Bought two new phones, a watch, and I pad and upgraded our plan. Salesman completely messed our deal up. Had to return all 4 items. Ordered two new phones, an I pad and a watch from Verizon on a promotion. Verizon then cancelled my watch. Called Verizon customer service and was told by Verizon Rep. we would get an upgrade on the watch for free. It has been two months and several calls to Verizon customer service, was promised call backs and never received one. Hung up on once. Our bill is still not right, still being charged for what we were told would be free because of Verizon's mistakes, three times. Very frustrated. read more

I got an answer from Verizon person and they gave me a reference to a form that I could fill out. Are they really kidding that to type it in was like six lines long to get to it I want somebody from Verizon to call me or to send me a regular email attaching their form, this gets me so angry. I would have to go on line and put in there Verizon blah blah blah blah blah blah blah lots of number six lines. Long numbers letters almost like a Wallet address only a lot longer to put in an 81 years old. Have they take me to try acting like a normal person and give me a phone call or even an email. I dread going in but like the actual service of Verizon. (Reliable And works everywhere!) That's the ONLY reason I keep Verizon. Seems as soon as they get a great worker they transfer them! Wesley is great-ask for him IF they don't transfer him. They want you to buy and get out with as little work as possible. I know it's about profit but I see and hear disgruntled customers each time I've had to go in which is as rare as possible. Call or write to the higher ups not just the store for your complaints. When I've been out of State there's much better service or even the smaller stores. The store on the corner of Cortez Rd. and 41/14th St. is not only difficult to pull in and out of, but the managers don't seem to care at all. Perhaps they are understaffed and therefor stressed or they think they don't make enough money but it's taken out on the customers. P.S. After much time has passed I went into Verizon in Bradenton Fl again and a manager that greets you snaps "1 1/2 hr to be seen!" Ahhh unless you want to buy something for hundreds of dollars then you will be moved to the head of the line and escorted out promptly. read more

I went to the Verizon store today to pick up a phone for my son. The gentleman I dealt with at the store was great. The only problem I have with that is that giving me $300 for my phone but I have to do it over 24 months at 0% so when they say there's no contracts that's bullshit either you're giving me 350 for the trade oh you're not giving me 350 for the trade it should be you get your 350 he's paid cash for the rest of the phone not have to stretch it out over 24 months read more

Complete amateur hour with a shady used car salesman mentality. We had an extremely terrible experience with this store on Wednesday last week (8/7). While on vacation, and with very limited time, my wife visited the store to address what should have been a simple exchange for a new device after her iPhone was damaged. While knowing very clearly her timing situation and assuring she'd be through within the hour, "Customer Service" representative Garry Fields proceeded to mislead and upsell my wife. This extended her and our son's time in the store to 3 1/2 hours, causing us to miss our afternoon family commitment. Even though he did not know how to make the exchange my wife requested, getting it right after multiple attempts, that wasn't the biggest issue. What was more abhorrent were his attempts to push and upsell an iWatch during this period, knowing it would add time when my wife clearly was not interested and after she stated multiple times she did not have the availability. On top of this, Fields had no ability to do so since the damaged iPhone blocked his ability from pairing the iWatch to make it operable. Clearly, his only intent was to upsell his customer when no need nor desire was there, trying to take full advantage of an upset client. And for the final straw, when my wife's refusal to agree to the iWatch sale was finally heard as their visit went beyond the third hour, Fields had the audacity to reference a $50 iWatch restocking fee that he would graciously waive. A complete amateur. I just hope for the store's sake and the customers of Bradenton, Fields is not representative of the "service" staff, store management, and their training. Anyone who enters this store, be aware of their practices and request someone else if Garry Fields comes your way. Bradenton store manager, please respond with your thoughts on this behavior, and what type of corrective action you will take on behalf of a very loyal and longstanding Verizon customer. read more

9/13/17 Staff ignored what I was actually looking for and gave me a cheap POS. I kept explaining I take a lot of pictures and need a phone that has a good quality camera. I needed a camera with a larger memory as well for storing photos and games, but I was sold a phone with a 2 mega pixel camera on it. Would not recommend this location. They Do Not Listen to you. Just left this location 11/8/17 Most was new staff except the Manager who I actually think he is not bad. My Aunt who is in a wheelchair and I were actually yelled at and demeaned by an employee for looking at the new iPhone and apple watches. We were told there are chairs over here so you need to move out of the way. He was rude and arrogant. We even over heard the same employee lying to Customers!! I tried giving that Verizon location another chance, but most of the Employees are obnoxious and rude. We just wanted to buy the new Apple iPhone, so now I'm taking my Business elsewhere!!! I will put the sales folks in this store in the same category as CAR salesmen. HORRIBLE Experience!!! They scammed us and said we could get this HumX thingy for free with a free app. What a lie that was the bill finally came and they charge $15 a month with a $40 activation fee. I tried to cancel it as we never even installed it and they told me there is a $175 early termination fee. We tried to return to the store and they said they only take returns within 14 days. How you treat loyal customers of 25 years this way just amazes me. We were never told there was a monthly fee to use this it was all free free free. Karma is not going to treat you kindly. read more

Watson is a great salesmen he will help you understand your device and answer any questions you might have even days or months after your purchase, but most of the other sales people I have encountered in this location after you purchase your device they are done with you they are all about making a sale and that's it, I was in store to get help with my Apple Watch Watson was not working on that day no one wanted to help me I question my place in line for assistance after waiting for 30mins I was threatened by one of the associates to be kicked out of the store after telling him to get away from me because he was being aggressive and very rude he followed me getting in my face aggressively I'm sad to say I will not be purchasing anything from this location ever again sorry Watson your a excellent salesman read more

Manager Stacey Bramer could not have been more useless today. Her demeaning attitude and the yelling at customers was not only rude, disrespectful, it is unnecessary. She treated all of use like we were nothing. I have been a Verizon customer since 06 and I am thinking about changing cell carrier. She was that bad. The other manager (a man) was useless as well. All he did was play on his tablet and "check people in" while we had very simple questions (ie what is this in my phone) all he could say was sorry you need to check in and see a sales rep. While there was easily a 45-60 minute wait. As it was I was there for over 4 hours trying to pair my watch with my phone (was unsuccessful) however Remma who did her best to help was a God send. We went into to this location to swap out a moto phone for an iPhone for my 87 yo mother. I was dreading this because every time I have ever gone in to do this, it's a 3 hour ordeal. Josh took care of us and made it a great experience. He was patient and went out of his way to make my mom feel comfortable. We were out in less than an hour. TERRIBLE service. Whatever you do, avoid at all costs being helped by the nightime manager STACY. Literally spent $1000 plus at this Verizon store the day prior to receive no service today. I've been a Verizon customer for over a decade and never received as TERRIBLE service as I did at this cooperate location. Unless you enjoy waiting for a hour to get attitude, incompetent service, being rushed and get zero questions answered I would NOT go to this store during the evening hours. I've never had, seen, or heard about a manager from any type of business acting as unprofessional as the night time manager STACY treated myself and family, especially when you're trying to spend more money. The day prior I went into this location during the daytime hours and had no problems. Their day time staff is wonderful, unfortunately I am not able to say the same about the night time staff. The technician i had tonight did his best, but had the manager STACY rushing him and did not allow him to give the proper assistance he was trying to give. Remember. Went in to look into upgrading my phone. Salesperson sold me on s7. OK. forgot to mention that their phones will not work with any other network, so if you want to change you would have to buy a new phone. Then, he talked me into the BOGO deal on the same phone, just pay $20/mo for five months. Great, only $120.00 for a $700+ phone. He told me to fill out the rebate on line, I couldn't do it there. I called four different times to get specifics on how to do this with NO return call. after my last call, I received an email from the manager asking me if I needed anything. I responded asking what I needed to do about my bogo phone. HE replied asking me if I had set up a Verizon account already. I said yes, that is how I pay my bills for years. He said I didn't need to do any more. Next thing I know I am being charged $700+ for the BOGO phone . Even with the documentation- texts , they said they couldn't help me since it was a special run by Samsung. I even told the sales rep I was going to "take advantage of the "deal" to give the phone to my brother-in-law in Brazil. Guess what, he never mentioned it wont work in Brazil. Worst customer service around. They don't give a rats ass about their customers. To big to care. never use them, they are bait and switch all the way. I am an Verizon Wireless customer who feels cheated and short changed. About a year ago I purchased a Samsung Gear S watch of which I don't have any complants. However the call fowarding feature does not work properly due to Verizon telephone switching problems. I have noticed through internet searches that many individuals in other parts of the country are having these same issues. The crux of my complaint is why does Verizon sell a product that is not fully supported by Verizon. It seems to me that if their are problems in some parts of the country due to out dated switches as is my understanding the cause of the call fowarding problem. Why has it taken so long to fix. Had long conversations with Verizon about this problem with everyone blaming someone else and no action. I live in the Tampa Bay area, no excuse. read more
