I've never had a good experience at this location in decades of trying. The store sits at 1313Cortez Road W in Bradenton and advertises that you can "schedule a visit" to be prioritized in the queue. Don't believe it. Even if you arrive early and stand outside in Florida's oppressive heat before they open, there's no guarantee you'll be served first. On my latest visit I was first in line and tried to check in, but the kiosk was out of order. Staff said they'd "take care of me" but proceeded to serve everyone else instead. They processed quick bill payments and ignored the fact that I was there to purchase a $700 piece of equipment. The lack of customer service is shocking. Employees seem indifferent to customers who aren't there to pay a bill. There's no apology, no sense of urgency, and no communication. This isn't an isolated incident--it's been this way every few years when I've given them another chance. The store may have a convenient location near Best Buy but convenience doesn't make up for being treated poorly. After decades of hoping for improvement, it's clear that customer service simply isn't a priority here. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Time to go over to Best Buy. read more

Should have realized that the experience would be shit here based on previous reviews. Unfortunately due to time constraints we couldn't get to another store. We went to the store to replace my 80 year old parents phone. While there my 80 year old mom needed to use the bathroom. She was told that she couldn't and had to go find a bathroom because their restroom is near their inventory and they have been robbed before. Really my 80 year old mom is a risk. I asked the manager if she could be escorted to the restroom and was told it is against the store policy and she couldn't make an exception. Our salesperson was good but the manager should be replaced. read more

Well. Your order may or may not be right . I came in with my daughter today. After her order was placed incorrectly. We were told by the AT &T rep on the phone to talk with the manager when we got there to do do an exchange. BUT OH NO this little LADY decided to go hide out in the back after being RUDE ! SERIOUSLY! I am a former AT&T employee and cannot believe the horrendous experience I've had at this location. A bit over a year ago I changed phones. The process was protracted and inaccurate. Had to go back to get service turned back on as somehow the had stopped it. My new phone was a brick. Additionally the trade-in of my deceased brides phone was terrible. Fast forward to trying to buy an Apple Watch. The online attempt was halted when they could not complete the verification process and they directed me to this location. This visit came at the direction of AT&T; who told me to take my ID to them to complete the process. After multiple statements that the could not complete the process they cancelled the online process saying they could start another one with no problem. Numerous attempts were made and aborted, they could not complete the order! Misinformation, errors etc. I told them to cancel BOTH of the transactions. Well guess what, the original translation is still on my account! I departed dejected, disheartened and very annoyed!!! From the parking lot I discovered another AT&T corporate store in Sarasota @ 215 N Cattleman. Made an appointment drive there explained what I need and within an hour I was finished happily!! There was no misdirection, guessing, process ignorance etc. These guys, Chris and the rest of the team know their business. I highly recommended if you need to go into the store; AVOID BRADENTON, go directly to Sarasota!!! read more

We added a line in February, were scared into adding the insurance. We also bought screen protectors. My screen protector not only didn't absorb impact, it forced itself into my screen, which is not cracked or has holes at all but the bottom left corner is now black and when I called to use my insurance, we miraculously do not have it. I was ALSO told that the warranty covers screens, but again, MIRACULOUSLY it does not. I am at my wits end. I am extremely dissatisfied and annoyed that this incompetent person has left me screwed. I had left AT&T before due to incompetence and only joined back because of the other person on the account but will never ever again use AT&T in the future. They break promises, don't pay attention, and are too focused on who the account holder is to actually help you. They would rather lose a 20 year customer than actually help someone. read more

Six months ago I purchased an iPhone X. $1000. Insured that phone. I had a situation where it was in my laundry basket and ended up going through the washing cycle went to do the claim and the representative had insured my iPhone 6 and not my iPhone X. AT&T won't make it right. Apparently I should've given the insurance company the phone number for the six but I was a little concerned about insurance fraud. Think about it who ensures a six when they're buying a 10? Nobody. It still burns me up when I think about this. That ATT would allow these tactics. read more

I went here because they were open until 9pm and it didn't well at all. I was going to upgrade my phone so after waiting awhile then choosing the iPhone X and accessories we ended up not being able to trade my phone in due to a technical issue on my Passcode settings. I'm going to the Apple store for that but I just felt like the worker didn't really know much about the phone itself to answer any questions or concerns. The worst part was after leaving late my phone has no service so I'm going to have to fix that in the morning too. read more

After I posted a bad review for AT&T the manager text me. Asking me to send them the facts of my case. I did and months later they have never answered me. The absolut worst service I have encountered any where. They have cost me hundreds of dollars [$875.00 for the phone alone]. I have driven to several stores, talked to customer service 9 different times. They just don't care!!! Had I went with T-Mobile I would have a new FREE IPhone and saved money on my monthly bill as my brother did when he went T-Mobile at the same time. I flew all the way from Colorado to help my mom purchase a new, flip style, non-smartphone. The lady who took our name down instantly tried to pursuade us into buying a smartphone. Before the sales representative came to talk to us, he was chatting with the initial lady, obviously talking about my mom and I. When he finally came to us, we showed him the phone we wanted to buy, as I had already researched the phone on the internet the night before. He immediately indicated the phone was not in stock, told us that phone could ONLY be sold to, "first responders/emergency personnel", and insisted my mom needed a smartphone. He said in the 1 year he had been employed there, that phone has never been in stock, (although it would have been available if we were first responders). When my mom told him she was old (84) and didn't understand smartphones, he then showed us a cheaper flip phone model and told us to go buy it at Walmart as we could get it for half the price. The entire time he was speaking with us, he kept eating and chewing food. It was difficult to understand him. This was the worst retail experience I have ever encountered in my life. Very rude and unprofessional. These two individuals need to be fired! They do not even deserve a 1 star rating for their horrible and disrespectful attitudes. read more

He knew what he was doing and when he finished with us he gave us his business card and said to contact him if we had any questions. Very disappointed with this location. I was looking around to replace my phones and get away from cable. After deciding on phones I went to get my wife and return. After 2 hour wait we started process and they didn't have phones in stock and would send them. After receiving them 8 days later we returned to the store and after spending another 2 hrs we left the store with one phone working as they couldn't get second one working and wanted us to return another day. After learning there was a closer AT&T store they helped me set up second phone and showed me how to add the features I needed. I like my new phone, but not go back to the Cortez store as this location that helped me is much closer and the staff are very friendly and professional even though I didn't buy from them.
