I have been a customer of Payson Electronics (formerly Radio Shack) for over 20 years. Even though…read morethey no longer carry as much electronics parts stock as before, the owner (who has another store in the Show Low area) is doing his best to find reliable and comprehensive parts distributors. I have done electronics parts purchasing for a few companies back in the 60's - 70's and know how difficult it can be, so kudos to these folks. The managers, who are both Ham radio licensees, are very knowledgeable about their stock and applications, and one worked many years in the electronics industry, as an engineering technician (as I did). I am thankful that someone decided to keep this store open, otherwise I'd have to be ordering online (and waiting for days if not weeks) to finish projects. P.S. I have never known either the owner or the managers to be anything other than polite, courteous and helpful, spending much of their time and sharing knowledge with customers. Perhaps the incident related above had to do with someone who was angry about Radio Shack closing almost all of their stores, back in 2017. This store has been independent of Radio Shack for a few years, although the sign remains on the building.
