I moved from Illinois to Colorado and used this company. They are horrible they hired a trucking company who lost all of my stuff! They finally found it 2 months later but only some things they broke half of it carrying it in and verified moving company fired Sam and sons who was the trucking company so we were not allowed to make a claim or anything they just charged us double. Never use VERIFIED MOVING PROS, LLC. Located in Boca Raton. ***They are brokers and not a direct moving company. *** They will give you a contract for your first amount. Then they do a QA call, then double the original amount, make you sign a whole new contract for that and get another deposit from you and will not return your second deposit although it's within the new contract period. Customer service rep stated "we already have your bank account information and it will be charged regardless of your cancellation notice" They also will not disclose what movers they work with. They are extremely deceptive in their business practices... will not give you a solid pick up date nor solid time when your belongings will be shipped. The company owner Donald Lina and his employees are extremely deceptive. The company was just established in March of this year and has so many complaints. I would give 0 stars if that was an option. My moving experience was absolutely horrible. First of all, I did not realize that Verified Moving Pros is a broker and NOT an actual moving company. That is on me - but I will NEVER do business with a moving broker ever again. During my initial phone call, I went through everything that I had to move. I'm fairly certain that I was very thorough as I had a list from a local move that I had made a few months prior. The price was within my budget, which was a great relief to me. They said they would call a couple days before my move to verify everything and make sure it was good to go. A quality assurance call they called it. During the quality assurance call - I went over my list of items. THE SAME LIST I had used on the previous phone call. But somehow, a bunch of stuff was missing. So then, my price DOUBLED. I was very upset by this - the guy was able to bring my quote down some, but it was still way more than I was intitally quoted. However, what was I supposed to do? My move was happening within a week and there's no way I could secure another moving company before I had to be out of my apartment. So then, the moving guy shows up. First of all, he shows up with a rented Enterprise truck, which gave me a bad feeling right off the bat. It was just him alone, he had brought another guy that he found - I don't know where, to help. The moving guy was extremely unprofessional. He blasted loud music with profanities while he was loading. He did NOT wrap any of my furniture, he did NOT use the TV boxes that I had bought. He did NOT bring the mattress covers I had asked for. The worst part was that he did not have enough room for my stuff in the truck. So then, in adiditon to the move costing me almost double what I was originally planning, I then had to make a trip back (thankfully only 3 hours) with another moving truck myself and get the rest of my stuff incuring more moving costs. During unloading, he did not put my stuff in the correct rooms or assmble any furniture. When he left, I was left with a pile of boxes in a room I could barely walk in, furniture completely unusable because it was facing the wall (dresser drawers facing the wall) or not reassembled. He also charged me an extra $75 for going down 6 steps because he claimed that only one set of stairs during the whole move was included. When I talked to the gentleman at Verified Moving Pros he said that one flight of stairs was included at both the pick up location and the drop off location. When I asked to see the contract, it was worded in such a way that it was not specific enough to clairfy about the stairs. If you're wondering, yes some of my furnture was damaged slightly in the move. So, my advice, don't use a broker when moving. I need to preface that in general the moving industry seems to have gone severely downhill since even the major carriers like Mayflower have negative reviews. So while talking to some random broker we somehow got transferred to another broker which was Verified Moving pros. The salesman talked very smooth and friendly, he could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves. He said a semi-truck was going to be unloading in the next state over and it was perfect timing if we booked now before someone else booked it. Based on what we currently had packed and listed and described over the phone (they don't come to your house), he quoted us $6800 to move 2,000 miles across the country so we put our $2500 down. A week before our move they went over the latest list which added maybe a dozen boxes, 6 plastic bins and a couple pieces of furniture and it somehow jumped to $12k which we were obviously very upset at feeling duped (and already committed after putting our deposit down). We felt like we had no choice but to move forward. The breakdown showed $5k just for the movers so not sure how it was ever going to be $1800 to move anything 2,000 miles across the country. So we waited for our 24-48 hour phone call before the movers were to show up, and when 24 hours came we started calling. They assured us the movers would show up. Then the next morning we got a call directly from the movers saying one of the movers were going to be late so they wouldn't be showing up until between 1-4pm. They ended up showing up at nearly 6pm which meant it was going to be a late night. They showed up with two twenty five foot U-haul trucks, and my first thought was "uhh, so we're going to pay double for fuel?". We would find out later that they use local U-haul trucks just to get your stuff loaded, and your stuff would be transferred to other trucks along the way (who knows how many times, could be a new truck every state line for all we know). This is NOT what the salesguy said, in fact the only reason we chose them is because we weren't keen with other movers talking about transferring stuff from truck to truck during the movie. We had shrink wrapped a few of the smaller cabinets that had stuff in them, but I left things like the tool box, portable kitchen island and other furniture unwrapped (because their own contract said the movers would bring all the supplies to pack). In total I think there was 4-5 movers that showed up but only 2 showed up on time so the others got sent home. One dude showed up who wasn't even part of the movers, he was a friend of the movers and just hung around our house which felt very odd. They packed the boxes into the truck first, very loosely and not very high which got me worried they were packing light on purpose. Only after complaining did they start to stack better, though I still think they overestimated the volume (there was no way it was nearly 3,000 cubic feet of stuff). As they got down to the furniture, rather than professionally wrapping it as promised, they started grabbing spare boxes, tape and shrink wrap leftover from us packing (that's right, they brought ZERO packing supplies). They were taping cutup boxes around our 100 year old cabinet, sticking tape to very old furniture. Then they started taking out our kitchen island (mind you we moved it into our house ourselves without issue), and though it was tight they couldn't figure out how to get it out of the door. When they finally got it through (poking a hole into our wooden door frame), the one guy slipped and let go of it, letting it crash to the ground and busting the door off. My wife flipped out because it was designed by me and custom made by the amish. They commented "oh it can be fixed easily with glue". When that piece finally did arrive at our destination, two more drawers were broken, and the butcher block top had gouges everywhere and shoe prints all over it like they just shoved it however they felt like inside the truck (completely unwrapped, because again they didn't bring any supplies). We started leaving items behind because we were worried about how much this was going to cost us. When the trucks were finally packed, we thought the worse (and we were right). The $12k quote over the phone? Our quote was now $22k for the move (even while with-holding items). Again, what choice do we have? Movers have all our stuff in trucks, couldn't say no now. SCAM. These pieces of trash told me that a deposit was refundable if I canceled within 72 hours. I did cancel. They told me that it would take 30 business days to receive a refund. It's been 38 and no refund. When I called today to follow up, I was told it would be another week and a half. The customer service rep got extremely nasty when I indicated I was going to my bank to file a dispute to avoid interest charges on the payment and treated me as if I was trying to scam the company. Stay away from this company and any other moving broker, especially if they are located in FL. Watch out for any company operated by Donald Lina. Has Nicole, Alex, or Christian as employees. They are a huge fraud. Basically have a nonrefundable deposit requirement, even though they say you can get a refund within 3 days. Don't count on it. They only take ACH deposit even if 3 months in advance. They say they need 1/3 of the payment up front, 1/3 when they pick up your stuff for you to never see it again, and final payment if they deliver your things. Chances are that if they pickup your stuff, the estimated square foot was not figured properly, therefore it's additional cost to just get it loaded, again to not see it delivered or safely without more additional fees. They rent an office in an Executive building that has no street signage or name on their office. They say they offer veterans discounts and make you think it's only good for today. Good luck. They are unresponsive in anything you call them out on and everything wrong is your fault, even if your plans changed within first 3 days. Nicole is adamant that you won't get a refund because you can't tell them who you cancelled with, but supposedly all calls are recorded, except cancel calls as they don't have that one recorded. Hmm! They do not respond to emails, unless it benefits them financially with your bank information or your signature. And they just quietly fade away from any contact with you, thinking you will be quiet and shrug off their scam hoping someone else will be their next victim. I placed 2 stop payments against them so they couldn't try Taking any additional funds. Their think it's no big deal to steal $1420 deposit money which they pocketed for doing absutely nothing. Could someone dump some crap on their door front and make them pay to have it removed. Or better yet, put them all in jail for extreme fraud. By now, they've probably changed their names, but running the same scam until too many people report them and they start over again and again doing the same thing. ***********SCAMMERS************** ***DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY*** I recently separated from the military and I hired this company to my household items from Texas to North Carolina. I drove 4 hours down to my storage unit to meet my movers the day of my move. They were over an hour late to the appointment time which wasn't a huge deal but a little annoying. As soon as the man looked at my unit he said "oh yeah this is way more than 450 sq ft" which I was originally quoted. I have a very detailed list of my items, the size of my storage unit, and even the dimensions of all of the large items in the unit so there would be no misunderstandings when it came time to move. I didn't have anything more than what was put on my form. The man said I could "Zelle" him the difference directly or pay him in cash which I found very sketchy. He wanted over $2500 for what was in his opinion 900 sq ft worth of stuff. He tried to charge me a "long walk fee" of $100 because my unit was in the second hallway of the first floor and he would have to walk further than he wanted to. The only options I had were to let him take the original 450 sq ft which he stated was only the mattress, couch, and my peloton bike. I could pay him more to take what he could fit which was over $2000. I tried to talk to customer service at this time and they were very unhelpful. All they did was ask the mover why he was charging more and said "oh okay, he said you have more stuff in his opinion". They told me I could cancel the move and request my deposit back but even after a week they have not returned any emails or phone calls. When I did cancel the movers got upset with us stating that they drove over 4 hours to be there and we owed him 1/2 of the quoted price to cancel. He kept trying to get me to sign his paperwork so I would be held liable to his companies cancellation policy. This company has been an absolute nightmare and soon to be court case. Whatever you do please use a better company. Update 6/16/2023 After I called again this is the email response I received. Absolutely disgusted with the way they handled this matter. I had to fly back to Texas to move all of my items myself. It all fit in a 20' truck with at least 3-4 ft of height left throughout the entire truck. Never deal with this company, don't call them or answer their call. You hear this companies name don't say yes. They sound good but it's obviously a scam. You take a huge down payment (more than 40 percent) and you will never see it back even if you try and cancel the agreement, their contract also states a 3 day recession period which we called within. However they also state the day you sign the contract is included in those 3 which is illegal as you are required to allow "72 hours" or "3 business days" AFTER you sign the contract. They are no more than phone scammers and repeat their script at you instead of trying to rectify the problem. Use somebody else, give yourself the chance. I specifically asked them if they were the movers or were they just contractors who find a moving company who would be available to move me. They lied on the initial phone call. They said they would be moving me unless something happened and a truck was not available for me, and in that case, they could contact another company. This sounded extremely reasonable. They were polite right up till I signed a contract at which time, all bets were off. Worse employee there was Trevor who was verbally abusive. He was supposed to call me on Tuesday night at 4 pm. I had something that to do on that day, so when he hadn't called by 6, I called the office. I was told he would call no later than 8. I explained that I had something to do at 7:30. The office told me they would relay the message. Mind you they sent me an email to tell me how important it would be that I was in my home when he called. He never called me that day. The following day I started calling at 9:45. I was told they don't work until 10. I called at 10 and was told they would call me back shortly. I called at noon and was told they were finishing up a call and would call me in 20 minutes. I called at 3, still not available. He finally called me back on Wednesday at 7:30 pm. My estimate went from $3300 to over $5000. I had no problem with that, I expected it once I started packing. My problem was that I had already given them a $1400 cash deposit. They do not take credit cards. Since I needed money for my new home, I did not want to give them anymore cash. He literally said, "I don't feel sorry for you. You already got a discount from us." He was referring to my Senior Citizen Discount. I must admit that upset me, but I did not raise my voice or insult him. I just pointed out what my complaints were to that point. I was told I had a point person. He never answered my calls. I had tried to get a definitive answer on the move. Everyone was vague. When I mentioned this to him, he said, "Maybe if you were a little nicer to me I would try to work with you." At this point, I asked to speak to a supervisor. He said he did not have one. He is the person in charge of this area. And he is the only person who does the QA. He told me how many hundreds of these cases he handle, implying how overworked he was an I am just another case. I told him that that is not my problem. If he is overworked, he needs to discuss this with his boss. In the meantime, I am a paying customer and I am not happy with the service or attitude he was giving me. This man should be fired. He is not mentally or emotionally prepared to deal with the public. Mind you, this is less then a week before I am due to close in NC and I still don't know when the truck is going to come. I finally get a call on Thursday. A message says they will be there on Saturday, between 7 am and noon. I kept that recording. It gets worse from here. I'll be reviewing the moving company they hired as well. I called this company to get a quote. They said they needed a credit card number for quote to put on record . They wanted a $1900. deposit. I said what happens if house deal falls through. He answered with, we keep the deposit for 12 months to use within for next move. I asked if he was insane. I said cancel this move and don't touch my credit card. A few weeks later a $1952. charge appeared on my credit card bill. I opened a dispute for fraud and finally this week they removed charge and interest but yet to remove late charges on credit report and 28 point loss on my credit score. The absolute worst experience of our lives and I have no idea where to even begin. We were trying to avoid the stress of the move and to avoid taking weeks off work to do it ourselves so we inquired to this company. We needed moving services and auto transport. We'll start with the moving company. We were told that the delivery of our items would be 7-10 business days FROM PICKUP and told them we needed it to be delivered the 5th or 6th of July. They told us they were okay with that and then scheduled us for the pickup a week and a half or so prior so that we could have that delivery date. We scheduled our whole lives around that date and I left my job weeks early just to get here and them tell us they could possibly not deliver until the 18th of July. They are now saying the delivery window starts the day you requested up to 7-10 days, which we were 100% told opposite, and have textual proof of. We have pets waiting on their enclosures and we now have to fork up additional money to stay in a hotel because we have none of our stuff, and have to rebuy our animals enclosures so that they don't die. This is only the beginning of the moving companies issues however. When they arrived to pickup our items, we were told they were supposed to take pictures and videos of everything before and after loading and label every box with what's in it. They didn't. They were supposed to pack breakable items with protective material, they didn't. We sat and watched them pack "air boxes" and put one or two items in a large box and close it up to take up more space. We were already quoted almost 10k for the moving service, and they charged us an almost 3k additional saying we took up more cubic space than originally thought. This would be okay with us if it were true, however we've personally made the move twice with the SAME STUFF nothing additional, with an 1100 cubic feet truck. They were saying we needed an additional thousand. They 100% took advantage and racked our bill up in which we can't afford. We could literally hear our stuff being broken as it was going down the stairs (they also chipped CONCRETE STAIRS because they were going down the stairs so hard with the dollys). We told them a million times not to pack the items in the corner of the room, in which they did and one included an enclosure with live pets. They killed one of them and injured a few more and their entire enclosure was upside down when brought back. We know for a fact we could items being broken, and based on others reviews and pictures we know our things will be broken and they will do nothing about it. We called the moving company today to ask when they were delivering just to find out they won't deliver for possibly two more weeks and told them we have text proof of being told the delivery was the 5th. The man on the other line immediately started yelling and screaming at us and hung up. They refuse to do anything to help us at all and don't care. The auto transport: the first auto transport company had us scheduled for a certain day. We were never called like we were supposed to be and when we finally got on the phone with someone, they said the truck was overweight and the driver "decided not to choose our job" and moved on. They DECIDED not to choose our job and my car would just sit indefinitely without anyone telling us? They arranged another auto transport and since we were already gone from the place we moved from, they told us to leave keys with the apt complex office and the driver would take care of the rest. We get a call on day of pickup and find out they can't pickup unless we are physically present. We were able to work this part out with the driver of the truck thankfully, but does ANYONE know the correct answer or are we all just guessing? Needless to say the broker not the moving company is giving any recourse for what's happening and not willing to help at all. This is an overpromising under delivering broker NOT a moving company. They make their money on the front end "deposit" aka their brokerage fee then just for making a few phone calls. Then when you get with the actual move or the timeframe doubles, and of course they cover their butt in the fine print and blah blah blah. Do yourself a favor and find a direct mover. They caught me at a weak moment while I was moving my mother into dementia memory care then I think my card was down. Normally I would not have fallen for this. You won't be able to reach them after the fact because the person they have aggressively calling you and promising you the world from the beginning until they lock you in can ever be reached again because they must change the phone number. You cannot reach them by their office number because it directly put you into an on hold queue that you never move down in your caller number and then it just disconnects you. I have emailed them requesting a 50% refund since the time that they promised doubled and they totally lied to me just to get their brokerage fee upfront. Let's see if I even hear a response from them. Also, if they post a rebuttal here, don't fall for it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I got a quote of guaranteed price of around $4000, after all their "discounts" were applied. My move date was August 12, my new house was closing on the August 15, these dates were guaranteed by the associate giving me the quote for my move. Then around the end of July, yes I did give them plenty of the time to get my move on the schedule, I get a call from the company, that they had to move my date up to August 2, to get me scheduled, kind of an inconvenience, had to change my hotels reservations, since I was driving half way across country, plus add another week of hotel rentals, but, I agreed, since I didn't have time to find a new moving company. I must add that I am 62, one of my "discounts" was the AARP membership. The movers were to arrive between originally, told, between 8 am - noon. Noon rolls around and no movers. Call the company, company no it was between 2pm - 5pm. I said ok sorry for the misunderstanding. 5pm rolls around, no one showed. 5:30 I get a call saying the movers were 4 hours away, and would have to make it August 3, in the afternoon. August 3 rolls around, once again changed all travel arrangements, and around 3 pm, I get a call saying they had to stop for supplies, Finally 2 guys show up at 8:40 pm. One stays out in the truck, the other comes in and starts talking about his life. About 9:30 pm, he actually started packing my kitchen. The whole time telling me, I was good on cubic feet, and there'd be no extra fees. Around 10:30 pm, a third of my belongings were packed in the truck, and 2 disrespectful boys, they were still in school, showed. Within 5 minutes of the boys showing up, even though nothing else was loaded, I had reached my cubic feet limit, and had to pay for additional space. If I did it through the company it would cost me at least $2300 more, but, what they will do, just charge me $1300 more, and they would just divide the money between them and keep it a secret. I said no, let's go ahead and go through the company so in case something happens my belongings will be documented. They refused. They said it was double the work, by having to unload the truck, and photograph everything. I was told that if I didn't Zelle one of the schoolboys, the $1300, they would unload what was packed, in the street, and leave. I Zelled him the money around 1am and 3 of the guys continued packing and loading the truck. The punk boy I sent the money to, was just standing in front of me, refreshing his bank account waiting for the money to hit. I showed him where the money was sent. That wasn't good enough, I tried to explain that it was a large amount and would be in the account when the bank opens, he said I would "rob" him of the money by canceling the ZelIe, I finally got in that I didn't know how to cancel it, because as I showed him it was sent. He went out talked to the other school boy at this point nothing is getting packed or loaded, all 4 of them are out in front of my place, smoking a blunt. He comes back in, it's about a quarter after 2 in the morning, and tells me to cancel the Zelle I sent him, and send the money to the other schoolboy. He showed me how to cancel it, and I Zelled the money to the other boy. A quarter to 3 am rolls around, the money hadn't hit the other boys account yet, and nothing is getting packed. The 2 school boys come in, and told me to cancel his Zelle and go to the ATM at 3 am and get cash out instead. I refused, I am a 62 year old woman, and I don't go out that time of morning. That wasn't good enough. He went and got the other 2 men from outside, and all 4 came in yelling at me, telling me.if I didn't give them cash, they once again, will unload the truck and put my belongings in the street. At this point I had enough. I called the Phoenix Police, because, at this point I wanted them out of my house. The police came and a fter about an hour of the cops being the packing proceeded. At 5 am I was told that the truck was full and had to pick what to leave. For a 762 sq ft move. It is now September 29, and my belongings still haven't been delivered. I keep being told my belongings are in a warehouse in Dallas, and I can pick them up there, I say just give me the address, they refuse! read more

If there was a minus100 star rating I would give it that but +1 is as low as you can go...STAY AWAY..VERY VERY VERY FAR AWAY. this is just a broker who then finds the seemingly cheapest fly-by-night carrier. However these carriers turn out to be the most expensive, especially the one they chose for me, Safe Movers LLC out of Belleville NJ (see my review of them). This saga starts with an extreme lowball offer by a guy named Francis that ballooned over 350% by the end but then that only got 80% of my furniture delivered. None of the "bulky items" i.e. washer, dryer, BBQ, tool chest that we discussed made it onto his original quote but carrier wanted $150 for each item. His original quote for a 3 bedroom house was 50 small boxes..lol.thats barely enough for a kitchen. Once the carrier showed up and the cost ballooned 350% you're caught between a rock and hard place... forfeit your deposit or let them take it. When my stuff never showed up in a few days (from Las Vegas to Plano TX), i call customer service who just push you off saying the carrier has 21 business days from "first available delivery date" not pickup date which they said i did not provide which was an outright lie. I had numerous discussions with the carrier while they were loading my stuff onto the truck. They never try to help or say gee we're sorry what can we do. it was just an abysmally poor level of customer service. read more

Everyone out there looking to move whether local or cross state, DO NOT I repeat DO NOT deal with this broker and the agent "Grant". They are never ""TRANSPARENT"" with their sales pitch. They will get you at the end. This agent was pushing me to pay $300 deposit. I was not comfortable doing to, so he said ok...you can pay half the deposit and when you are close to your moving date and confirmed with the date you can pay the other half. So asked him what if my moving is cancelled or changed he said no problem he will refund my deposit but will charge 10% of my deposit. So, I could not get my moving date confirmed from the original moving date, so I called him and he said no worries he will hold on to my deposit for 12 months. Luckily my moving was cancelled and I called him and said that my moving is cancelled . He said to contact the customer service department, when I contacted them they said they will not refund my deposit as I have passed my initial moving date. I sent them an email informing them that agent Grant confirmed me that he will keep my moving date open. Now I am going back and forth with them. BEWARE.....do not deal with them.
