I love verde! I recently found out I can't eat dairy anymore, but have no fear, verde is here!! I am not a huge meat eater either so I love that you can make your own salads and wraps. My personal favorite is adding the "power blend" mix which is lentils and quinoa. Then I put in all the fixings and top it off with the agave mustard dressing. It is delicious! They do put A LOT of lettuce in your salad, so if you like lettuce but not a super fan, you may ask for light in that. read more

They do have a cool all natural and low-carb drink that is an infused tea with mint and ginger that I haven't seen elsewhere. This was my first visit here while in town last week and absolutely loved it! I was there very close to closing time so I grabbed my salad and ate quickly in the restaurant and took my sons to go. This is a great little place in Belle Hall for a quick lunch! They have so many options to choose from. Whether you want to go with a signature or build your own order. The system they had going on was very efficient and provided super quick service. I went with a Cobb on King wrap but it was a lot. There is so much in an order that I will definitely just stick with the salad bowl next time. Very generous portions and a wide variety of ingredients to satisfy whatever you may be craving. Ordered lunch at a couple places for work and decided to pick up the Verde order last since they are ALWAYS slow. We left work, drove to Belle Hall and picked up two orders from two other restaurants before going to Verde. Finally made it to Verde and it wasn't even close to being ready. There were five to six salads still being made before the one I was picking up. There was more socializing on the line than salad making and the person at the register was hostile and rude. Is it every Verde with this problem? I feel like I'm at a music store in the 80's and the employees think they are special because it's a record store. Yes Verde you are the cool salad place, but don't treat customers like you are entitled. read more

I've been going to the restaurant since they've been open. Haven't been there recently. Went this evening and was disappointed with the food preparation. Area where the food is wrapped was unclean. Leftover salad from previous orders was on the work table. The burrito order in front of me was wrapped on paper over the leftover salad from a previous order. Bummed to write this review because I used to go here multiple times each week and love supporting local businesses. But the quality has gone down hill. We've gotten takeout salads multiple times that were either prepared incorrectly (missing or wrong ingredients) or quality was poor. Lentils have been uncooked several times and were as hard as rocks. Used to get the Mesa all of the time, but the quality of the chicken is not good. Have continued to try to support them because the employees are super nice and sometimes they get it right. Got two salads to go today and both were wrong - one had an extra ingredient (raw onions) that shouldn't have been on the salad and the other (Lentil Giant) had no lentils in it. Verde is simply too pricey for these recurring issues. read more

My first time here! The poor workers were slammed!! They did good! I feel like they put a bit too little of the toppings on top but that may just be a personal thing! Their broccoli cheddar soup was delicious. I asked for salads chopped they weren't weren't chopped but in their defense they were super packed!! Visited a new place here in Mt. Pleasant! After the past few days of indulging I needed a light but hearty salad. Heard great things about this place, and I was intrigued for how they chopped up the salad in a big mixing bowl. There were so many options for toppings I have to go back and try them all! I went with the Mesa Verde with chicken, topped with avocado, tomatoes, red onion, tortilla strips, and a vinaigrette with fresh squeezed lime. The salad could easily be split if you're not starving. Served with a toasted piece of whole grain toast. They also had fresh juice options and you can order online and pick it up! Definitely recommend it! This is my favorite salad place in the world. I love all of the extra fresh ingredients. They chipotle lime vinaigrette is amazing!

Decided to give it a try after riding by and was not impressed. The food was of higher quality than most places but it was very expensive and the whole crew behind the counter looked like they hated their life and job. The wrap/burrito tasted good but was not worth the 12$ it cost me. I drank water because sodas are nearly 4$ and I was not trying to spend 20dollars on a quick lunch. The worst part of the visit was when I got up and asked for the wifi password while eating and the employee rudely says "the wifi is for customers only". Overall I would not recommend eating here unless you like spending 16bucks for an average lunch. read more

Verde continues to not offer a half salad for adults who can't eat a gigantic salad - it's ridiculous that the only small salad they will sell is a 5-ingredient salad for a child. I decided to have the giant salad split in half today (apparently I'm eating this for dinner now) and the woman drenched my lunch salad with so much dressing I could barely eat it. This was after the kid adding proteins had no idea what he was doing and didn't add avocado to my Mesa Verde. Just look over the display of ingredients (like Subway only MUCH MUCH better!), choose the type of green, dried fruit, veggies, cheese (feta, goat, parm, etc.), beans. Choose a dressing. I ordered ahead of time online so salad would be ready for my lunch break. Email conf said would be ready in about 20 min... that's a pretty long time to make a salad when it usually takes about 2 minutes for them to make it while you stand in line. But ok... fine. I get there after 20 min and hardly any customers in store at all... and my salad is still not ready. Had to go ask at counter. They said maybe I sent order to wrong store. Pulled up conf email which showed it was correct location. I ended up having to go through the line and have salad made because order was nowhere to be found. Did not receive any compensation other than a "sorry for the wait". Will not be returning here. read more

Great for salads! It is always fresh and they are always friendly. It great for a quick lunch to take back to work. The only thing is they don't seem to put enough dressing on and it is always inconsistent. Some days it's great some days you can barely taste it. It's still good. I have been a big fan of verde for several years now. I live in Mt. Pleasant and used to frequent the coleman location but with my schedule the way it is now, the Belle Hall Location has become more convenient. Today, after filling up my stamp card I was excited to go get a couple salads! I went in and ordered two mesa verdes, and by the time I got to check-out I gave the girl my card and she stamped it twice and handed it back to me. I told her I had only had one stamp left (thus why I was buying two salads) so I could get the second one for free! But she said she didn't see it. At this point I was not a happy camper because I was getting charged for two salads and I wouldn't have bought two if I thought I was going to get charged for both. I was considering telling them I wouldn't take the second one, and I started to say something like, " I feel like I would have noticed if there been a stamp missing...." Fortunately, I'm guessing it was a manager that jumped in, and told her to just take it off my bill. She also went the extra step of offering me a vegan cookie (she must have noticed I had ordered my salads without chicken, or just asked for vegan dressings) and a free drink. This turned out what had started around as a very unpleasant interaction, which would have left a sour taste in my mouth, to a positive one. I'm not sure who this woman was, but I hope you'll pass along my feedback. She has exceptional customer service skills, and I should know, since I work the service industry as well. I really had a bad attitude about Verde before I tried it. I thought they were overpriced salads. But really - they are awesome, HUGE salads! A great salad, made to order while you watch. Choose one of the many named salad creations offered or pick and choose your own components. I typically order online from my office and by the time I arrive less than ten minutes later, its bagged with utensils and napkins and is ready to go. Dressing has always been on the side when I've ordered for pick up. When eating at the restaurant I opt for the dressing to be added and the salad chopped but as mentioned in another comment, the salads tend to be liberally dressed so I typically ask for a light portion of dressing and ask for more if I need it. read more

I've been to this Verde location several times. I really WANT to love it...but I don't. The concept is great, and I'm hoping it's just this location, but if I'm going to pay $10 or more for a salad- it better be a darn good salad! Today, like the last several times I've been there, I asked for avocado instead of chicken (I'm vegan) and I watched the girl put about half of what was in the half of avocado she was working with into my salad, then toss the shell (with so much avocado left in it!) into the trash. That's frustrating! Today, I finally said something to the girl at the register. She seemed annoyed, and asked the people on the line "for a side of avocado"...again- frustrating, on 2 accounts. First, it's very wasteful. Second, I'm paying for something that I'm not getting. Also, they asked my husband if he wanted bread, he said yes, then they didn't put it with his salad. Disappointed with my first visit. I ordered a monthly special salad -- Of Rice and Hen. I swapped the cheddar for avocado, but otherwise made no adjustments. The apples were a touch mealy and soft and the sweet potatoes were shriveled and overcooked. The associate doused the salad in dressing -- I love it mixed in, but I could see that she added 2x as much to my salad as she did to the side cups she filled for other customers. I expect the excessive dressing was what made my salad a mushy mess to eat. I couldn't distinguish any individual ingredients and could have easily eaten the whole thing with a spoon. The concept is very similar to Sweetgreen (locations in DC, Boston, NYC) but the execution unfortunately fell short. If I worked nearby I might try it again, but I won't be making the 20 minute commute again. I really wanted this place to be better! read more

Friendly staff but salads are almost always over dressed. A co-worker picked one up for me today, almost indelible because it was honestly so soggy. Ask for dressing on the side or lite dress always! For a $10 salad it was a bit disappointing. read more

This review is based on the customer service, not the food, because I walked out before they finished making it. I ordered the Farmers Market salad (which sounds delicious!) and an employee put the greens in a bowl, along with maybe two of the add-ins. Then she stopped and began doing other things, like sweeping. I thought that maybe another employee would finish it, like they do at Moe's, so I waited. Two more customers came in a few minutes later and an employee made their salads. At that point I thought maybe the first employee was going to finish mine after all, but then she addressed a new customer and made their salads. At that point I told them I was leaving and walked out. It had been about ten minutes since they started my salad and I was feeling annoyed. I would have waited longer if any one of the four employees I saw acknowledged me but no one asked me what I was waiting on or explained why they were running behind. read more

I am a returning customer at this location and usually don't have any problems with service but after today's experience I thought I would make note. We went in to place take out for our family and one particular worker had the worst attitude I've ever experienced at a restaurant. After two other individuals made our salads we were passed to a young, strawberry blonde girl who gave us attitude for having our salads chopped. She seemed to be extremely upset to have to perform her one job and threw her salad chopper in the bowl. One person in my party asked her for his salad wrapped and she ignored his request and chopped his salad and moved on. We placed a Togo order and she put heavy amounts of dressing on our salads instead of in togo containers so they were all soggy by the time we got home. The other workers were kind and we usually have a satisfactory experience here. But we will not be returning if we experience this kind of behavior again. read more
