There is not a statement or photo relative to their…read moresupposed experience re the ceramic tile roof replacement completed on our FLA condo as a result of hurricane Michael in Oct 2018. (NOW, after their work on our complex they claim to be experienced at it...) During CPCs time at our complex we incurred more damage as a result of CPC not properly securing our roof just prior to a major thunderstorm. Then they said they would not be repairing what they caused. We assured CPC that they would in fact be repairing such damage. Eventually and very reluctantly they did some of the needed repairs. Some of which are now still leaking and two other issues have so far been ignored. Next, we found they were covering over actual rotten wood and planning to stucco over such shoddy repairs. We called them out by informing the HOA, which should have been paying attention to this detail all along. Subsequently, CPC did go back to our unit and at least 3 or 4 others to supposedly correct these very obvious oversights. I suspected there wasn't much experience on this type of work due to a number tell tale signs. Unfortunately, my fears do at least appear to be correct. Their stucco patch jobs are rather unsightly, could have been much better. One of our interior repair contractors noticed a number of cracked and broken new tiles outside our bathroom window. Multiple broken windows have been very sloppily replaced. Delay, delay, delay, many no-shows, etc. And now, over a year later the tale continues. Just maybe, our leak has stopped (after 7 attempts) but not so for at least one other neighbor. So far, they have still refused other responsibilities, so we are continuing to pursue it. Eight months after Ian, Claremont pulled all slider doors, 2 per unit, including frames, to waterseal under thresholds, then damaged the frames when they put them back. Then they claimed the double pane seal might be damaged so bought all new doors for some units rather than just replace the allegedly faulty glass panels. They "salvaged" the other damaged doors and reinstalled them. Thanks to improper installation, Claremont broke the rollers so the doors would not open and ripped off the barrier that prevented bugs crawling in, and the doors leaked repeatedly. Untrained Claremont employees blundered through until Daydid slider company replaced rollers, added bug barriers, and properly caulked the fasteners, which worked for 2 years, but now they are leaking again. Claremont did not use stainless steel screws. PGT provides a list of certified installers. PGT warrantees doors installed by certified installers, but Claremont is not a certified installer so these 80+ new slider doors have no warrantee. Quality contractors use certified installers for the glazing product being installed. Claremont did not use certified installers. Therefore, Claremont is not a quality contractor.
