I am posting this review after first attempting to address the issue privately by messaging Edward…read morethrough his website. After several weeks without a response, I am sharing our experience. My fiancé and I purchased a home near the Russian River in early 2022. In December 2022, we hired Gunneau's Home Services through Thumbtack to install a chandelier. Edward arrived with a younger helper. After installation, the light was briefly turned on and off, confirmed working, and we paid between $1,000-$2,000 for the service. Within a few weeks, the chandelier caused the breaker to trip repeatedly when in use. Unsure of the cause, we stopped using it. Later that year, a licensed electrician evaluated the issue. We were informed that the chandelier had not been properly supported and was hanging by the electrical wiring rather than being secured by the mounting chain. By that point, the fixture was no longer usable. Recently, the chandelier detached and fell, shattering into our kitchen and dining area. This prompted us to document the issue and post this review. Prior to doing so, I contacted Edward through his website to seek resolution but did not receive a response. Based on our experience, we were disappointed with the installation and follow-up communication. I would recommend others proceed with caution and ensure all work is inspected and properly supported.

I then hired two other plumbers to come out and snake it, and neither was successful. One of them even told me I needed to redo a good portion of my plumbing for over $5,000! I found Rock Solid Drains after that, and they told me that all they do is unclog drains and that they have the equipment necessary to clear difficult washer/utility sink drain clogs. John from their team came out and within about 15-30 minutes had run a snake through our washing machine drain line, cleared the blockage, and had our plumbing working exactly as it should again. These guys are great if you have a drain clog that you can't clear yourself or that a normal plumber doesn't have the right equipment to handle. They solved a problem that two other plumbers couldn't, and did it for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend Rock Solid Drains. John was great to work with, and I'm very glad we called them before spending thousands of dollars unnecessarily!

I first called one Saturday morning last year with a potential emergency and he not only returned my call quickly, on the weekend, but explained things over the phone and was reassuring and knowledgeable. I knew then that I would be using his help for our future plumbing projects, and I truly couldn't be any happier with the work he completed today. It's not even 2 PM and he has finished three different plumbing jobs for me, even though one of them was major and involved cutting into tile (which many plumbers won't even attempt). My water is back up and running and I have a new shower valve, a new faucet, and a new anode rod on my hot water heater. All in less than six hours work. Ray's confidence and expertise with any job no matter how big or small is a true testament to his skill as a professional. And even though he gave me a head's up to move stuff out of the bathroom because the job could be messy, he still left an extremely clean work area in my opinion despite having to cut into the wall and tile. I am truly so impressed. For all the work he completed, I still felt that his prices were fair and reasonable. Overall, Ray is a very qualified and meticulous plumber and I would HIGHLY suggest that you contact him for all of your plumbing projects! At this point I wouldn't use anyone else.
