My mom, my sister and I went to get pedis and our nails done. It was not an experience I will ever do again or recommend someone. I showed what I wanted and it looks nothing and I mean nothing like it but was still charged $90 and my mom got her nails done as well and it's ok but the nails are crooked and her girl was gonna charge $65 but she ran to the person who did my nails and asked how much she charged and she changed my moms price to the same as mine. It was ridiculous. Seriously horrible experience never again. Unfortunately, I can no longer get my nails done here. When I'm in town visiting my parents, I would visit Venus. The prices have increased and the service has decreased. I entered the salon and told the receptionist I wanted a regular mani and pedi. She led me directly to the bowl where the nail tech ask what I was receiving. I stated "regular mani/pedi, no gel". He did my pedicure and then went to get a UV light. I said, I'm getting a regular mani/pedi. He asked again, if I was getting my nails done. I stated "yes, a regular manicure." He said okay, he'll leave me and let my nails dry. He never returned. I had to ask the receptionist who was doing my nails. She asked "are you getting a manicure"? *insert straight face emoji here* She went to locate the nail tech and retuned to inform me "he didn't know you were getting your nails done". He did my nails. I think she was worried I was choosing the wrong under color for neutral chrome nails--she politely asked multiple times to make sure I was getting what I wanted. They turned out exactly like i had hoped! I went in mid-day on a Tuesday and was able to get taken care of right away. I really wanted a pedicure too but I didn't have time. Terrible service. My pedicure was mediocre. I paid for gel and the next day the polish came off of two of my toe nails so I went back to the salon just to have it fixed. When I came back I went to the same tech to resolve the issue and she's clipping cuticles which should have been done during my actual pedicure. The tech also had an attitude while working with me. I guess the attitude was because the person who's pedicure she was doing when I walked back in was complaining about the quality of their pedicure. They have been doing a poor job lately! Very bad attitude and simply lazy. I had a few textured nails but asked my tech to fix one in particular so I wasn't being a bother. This lady gave me hassle over ONE nail. This particular nail felt rough and textured and I wanted it smoothed out. it was also lacking polish on the side. The tech and her loud coworker claimed they didn't see anything which is a lie. And I know they felt how rough it was. they simply just don't want to do work which is why I did not tip. This shop should be able to do simple sets and they can't. My last visits haven't been so great and my nails don't last as long. Do not come here, there are only 2 good techs. However, today I went Venus Nails and Spa, Two Notch Rd and was disappointed with the service I didn't receive from Jennifer, one of the nail tech in the shop. The nail tech I usually patronize is Mimi , however, because she is out of the shop and she will not be back until September 15th NO SERVICE was given. In my opinion, this is poor business since I had made an appointment to be serviced by Jennifer and this is the shop I have patronized for the last two years. She didn't even acknowledge me or tell me she was not going to give me service. Today will probably be my last time patronizing this business. The guy who did my nails seemed ANGRY that I showed him a photo of what I wanted and then he rushed it - didn't do cuticles - didn't do a massage after the lady up front told me to take my rings and bracelets off! I stopped coming here years ago. In 2020 I gave them another chance. Its now 2022 & this one guy they have did my toes & paint fell off the entire nail in a few days. Came back and couldn't understand what happened. 2 weeks later im back bc now a different toe, when my pedicures with gel polish usually last for 4 weeks. They gave me the same man for my manicure. My thumb didn't dry. Instead of repainting the whole nail he files down the one spot and paints over it. I stick my had in the light. After 9 sec he tries to rush me with oil & says go wash. But once i get home the spot peels. I come back next day to fix it they make me wait hr & a half. After me telling the manager i don't remember the color instead of getting the color wheel he makes me search for it. My time has ended here again bc their service could be so much better. read more

Steer clear of this nail salon! This place is absolutely filthy. The pedicure stations are not properly sanitized between clients. They are covered in stains and some odd film. Their tools are not being sanitized and the stations are not being wiped down. The nail area was covered in acrylic dust and tools were not cleaned and placed in Barbicide. Nail files and buffer blocks were also dirty and covered with acrylic dust just yuck!!! Added bonus if there's a cut they just wipe the blood away with their finger and move on. Is no one here concerned about blood borne pathogens at all? I have never seen a nail salon so filthy in my life. There were several board violations and they really need to do better read more

Today was my first time visiting the Venus nails and spa. I got a basic pedicure with regular nail polish for $30. The older gentleman doing my pedicure was very sociable and very kind. From a far the work he did look good bwhen I got up close I noticed the polish over my cuticles. If I wasn't in a rush I would have gotten them fixed the same day. I went here on a Sunday after a dip manicure done at another salon needed replacing. The manicurist tried to talk me into another dip instead of the gel I requested. I resisted. He gave me a bowl of acetone to soak off the dip as he watched something on his phone. After my $35 gel manicure was done and I was heading towards the register he said quickly, "There's a $10 charge for polish removal." So I ended up paying $45 for a gel manicure. It bothered me, so I called the next day. I explained my concern to the women who answered the phone and she told me there was a $5 charge for polish removal with a manicure. (I've NEVER had to pay for polish removal when getting a gel manicure.) I told her I was charged $10. She put Tung, the manicurist, on the phone. He told me the manicure was $40 and the up charge was $5. I told him the website listed the gel manicure as $35 and he said he'd tell his boss it needed to be updated. In other words, he lied. He tried to sell me a more expensive manicure, then threw on a $10 charge for polish removal (done the lazy way.) I sent an email before writing this review, but no response. To add insult to injury, my pinky nail chipped today, 2 days into a gel manicure. Needless to say, I will not be going back. read more

Can I do 0 stars? $35 for a basic pedicure. It said it included sugar scrub, calus remove, lotion massage, and polish. She slapped some scrub on, rubbed a brush over my heels and that was supposed to do what??? The lotion massage was LITERALLY 30SECONDS! I get pedicures to help me relax this only pissed me off! If I could give negative stars, I would. I came in with my sister for a manicure and pedicure. First of all the pedicure, I could have shaped and trimmed my toes better and my sister still had callus, the whole reason she wanted a pedicure. The manicure is where things went even worse. Horrible experience. Since I wanted foil on my nails AND wanted to save time, I asked to see the foil design selection while I waited. Anyone who has ever been to a nail salon knows, the first question the nail tech asks is "what color do you want", which is another reason I wanted to make my selection while I waited. That way, when I was FINALLY waited on, I would have that done. Anyway, I was told I could not see the foils and that the nail tech would show them to me. When I was finally called after a 45 minute wait, the nail tech asked me what color I wanted, I told her that I wanted to see the foils first and then I would pick my color based on that. She then showed me two foils. I told her, I was here two weeks ago and there is a tray with numerous selections and that is what I'd like to see. She then proceeded to move her cart to the pedicure area to work on another customer and told me someone else would help me. To my dissatisfaction, I had to walk back to the front desk and WAIT AGAIN for another nail tech. Had I been given the foil selections, as I had asked, this could have been avoided. Absolutely horrible! I should have read the reviews before I even stepped foot in this place. The decoration is nice but that is what you are paying for. I went in to get a pedicure with a French tip and the service was horrible. The lady cut my toenails way to short after I asked her not to, she then proceeded to file them in the wrong shape and when I asked her to correct it she filed them even shorter. The experience didn't stop there, she couldn't get it so she called someone else over to do it. Then came time for the polish and it was horrible my French tip was a straight line not even on both feet, I asked for it to be fixed and the botched it even more.
