Excellent service! Ann did an amazing job and handled my sensitive nails with care. 10/10 recommen!

Wow! I have never seen such a horrible job done on nails in my life. My niece had her nails done here. It cost her $70 & the woman cut her not once, not twice but 3 times! She didn't even apologize! In addition to the pain she caused, my nieces nails are sloppy, jagged & crooked. They are also all different shapes. As if that wasn't bad enough, the nails she put on her fingers are too small so they are constantly squeezing her nail bed & hurting her fingers. If this were the last salon on earth I wouldn't recommend them. Save your money & go ANYWHERE other than this disgraceful location. read more

Another case of being over charged without warning here! I used to come here when I was running errands in town. It had been a few months now, but I will NEVER come back here. $136 for a refill and the middle level pedicure (supposed to be $55). Nail technician uses his long, bare pinky nail to fix his mistakes. They tried to sell me up too! Whatever I would point to in the menu, he would point one level up. Gave me shellac, didn't ask for shellac. Literally said polish. Worst of all, it was a terrible pedicure! But at least the pedicure guy wore gloves. I can pay $136 anywhere else in town or Leon Springs and receive a luxurious experience. read more

They barely speak English. I asked for a manicure using gel, I was upcharged $20 for the gel, and then another $20 to remove it the next time! The nail tech did not give me the shape I asked for, I hate what he did to me. The shop is beautiful but the quality of work is low, and they charge way too much. read more

Despite a decent set and pedi, I won't be back because this team is dishonest on multiple occasions. Their price sheet says $50 for a pink and white powder and they charged me $70. When I questioned them after they told me my total, they fumbled around and said it was $65 plus an extra 5 for the shape. Same for my $70 pedi. My friend said rheumatologist same thing happened to her. So if you go make sure you have them tell you their prices BEFORE hand so they don't slap you with a $20 increase PER service. Very disappointing for a small town business. read more

This was my first and probably last visit to this nail salon. The woman who did my nails worked fast but did not make any attempt at conversation. I'm not sure if she had a language barrier or not. She just seemed to be focused on her work which I can appreciate however, the acrylic overlay was poorly done and the polish was sloppy. Aside from the rushed job, the tech did not offer me anything to drink until my appointment was over! I truly don't think she would have even offered if another woman didn't ask for a bottle of water. I was so angry with the final result that I immediately left feedback on a survey received after paying. Either the manger or perhaps the owner contacted me to return the next day. Another tech re-did my nails correctly which is the only reason this establishment gets two stars. read more

First and last appointment. So, to begin, I wanted to get my nails done for an interview tomorrow. I also work with animals, so that is why I have my nails short. I came in with plenty of time this evening. They agreed to take me, as I told them I requested dip on my natural nail. It felt rushed, and was. I was offered water halfway through. The other technician came over and watched as he hurried through the last steps. This is the result. I paid and left a tip... but I will not be coming back. read more

Used to come here. Was average - not bad. Here today. Paid for the extra massage. Worst pedicure I have ever had! The massage was less than 5 mins!! Never coming back! read more

First time there. Price list said one thing, $45.00 & $25.00, charged $15 over for ??. I wanted just a manicure with no polish, felt a bit of attitude. Polish came off pinky toe. Pedicure was good otherwise. Not returning. read more

I went to get a pedi. I told them I had my 10% discount when I sat down. But before I could show her the discount she had already charged me $70 plus I tipped her $10. I asked if they could refund me and recharged me the correct amount. They said they couldn't. It was a credit card. Needless to say I won't be going back. And I've been going since 2019. There are plenty of Nail Spa's in Boerne. Sincerely Elizabeth K Ward-Green read more

I have to update my review because my experience is changed! When this salon opened, the service and the customer service was excellent; however, after few visits later, I noticed not all their nail technicians are professionals. I didn't come here because my gel polish were peeling off after one week. Today, I decided to go here again and give it another try! I wished I didn't do that. All the gel polish were on my skin and when I asked to get that fixed, she said "don't worry, they won't come off"!......she ended up fixing them, but they still look terrible! I could have done it myself. If you have a favorite nail technician, stick to her/him because like I said, not all of them do a good job! Now I have an ugly pedicure for my vacation!!!!! Yay me! read more

I did not expect such amazing work. They were very perfectioning yet very nice to me and my friend. They never got mad when we wiggled a bit. The aesthetic of this salon is beautiful, and redone since the last time I was here. They were faster than most salons read more

The technician I have going to for a year and a half does an excellent job, and I have written good reviews in the past. However, this salon has now lost my business. I waited five weeks for this technician to return from a trip and scheduled an appointment several days ago which I confirmed an hour before arrival. I arrived 7 minutes late and was told she was "given" to someone else yet there was no one waiting and another technician was available for me. This is a poor way to run a business and treat a loyal customer. read more

Extremely happy with Sally's work! She was very friendly. I will definitely be back to see her again. I must say the employees that were playing a card were too loud and so unnecessary in a place where people come to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. read more

Worst manicure I've ever gotten. First, the guy who did my nails used his own nail to peel off my previous dip which was (1) unsanitary and (2) so painful. Then while he was doing my nails he got powder all over. I told him they were too long and he didn't shorten them. They are streaky and terrible. And he cut me. read more

My first and last visit. They guy who did my dip manicure was very bad at it. They came out thick and full of imperfections. Other technicians make it look so easy... but clearly this place is lacking. One week later they started to crack! Yes actually crack. Never going back. Found my new go to place to get my nails done. Mani/Pedi on the weekend, with minimal hassles. Was able to call ahead and schedule a 4pm appt. Still had to wait 20 mins before being seated but it wasn't that bad. The staff were pleasant and offered cold water while waiting. Large HD TV hanging in the walls playing contemporary music (YouTube video, I think...). Parking was convenient, and the interior looked clean and reassuring. My biggest complaint would be how strong the chemical fumes were. Maybe the exhaust vents and fans can be turned up a bit? Didn't say anything this time , but will ask next time. Overall, a really nice place to get nails done. read more

Very friendly techs!! I brought 4 of my daughters in for a mani/pedi day & they treated them like royalty. I always see David because he pays great attention to detail & has made great color suggestions every last time. I don't think I've ever had a more perfect manicure OR pedicure! read more

Went here with a friend because of all the good reviews, but we will NOT be coming back. The staff was rude and quite impersonal. The menu is very confusing. I thought I'd be getting more than I paid for. The guy who worked on my friend's feet was harsh, and we both felt rushed. I got shellac. It is very uneven. The nail tech (Jenny) didn't clean of the bottom and top coat off my fingers, and it ripped my skin. Another review says they felt judged, and I agree. 0/5 Take your money elsewhere. read more

Tried a new place today and took my mom to get a pedi for all of her help lately. We had a very good experience. I loved the attention and care the two ladies gave us, and I am very happy with the results. I will say, some people are rude. Five people came in at 5:30, when the place was supposed to close at 6, and the young daughter pitched a fit because she wanted a pedicure annnnnd a manicure. And, then, the matriarch of the family was haggling over price. Then, she walked out and made a scene because the owner tried to make a joke with her about making a fuss. Some people. My boyfriend stopped in here while waiting for a haircut to get a manicure (before a formal event, because he's not so great at cutting his nails and I told him they looked like they needed some improvement)... was in and out in 15 minutes, they did some basic nail clean up, filed them, put some cuticle oil on... and then charged him $22. Quality of the work was ok, but after looking at their price list... it feels like they took advantage of him not knowing what to expect and overcharged him quite a bit. He definitely didn't they anywhere near the "spa manicure" priced at $22 (intended for women- with sugar scrub and polish!) on their price list. Can't really recommend a business that seems dishonest and takes advantage of people. He did ask about pricing upon arrival, and she ignored him and sent him to wash his hands. Disappointing! read more

I would give this place zero stars but unfortunately that is not an option. I requested white dipped nails with silver glitter accent on the ring finger of both hands. The brush the technician used had red product on it from a previous customer and was transferring onto my white nails. I brought this to her attention and she told me it would file out. Needless to say it did not file out and I had streaks of red on my white polish. She asked if she could do glitter on all nails and I said sure that was fine because it would at least get me out the door with the streaks covered up until I could return and get them fixed. Upon leaving, I told her I would not be paying for my nails as they were TERRIBLE and not what I wanted. The owner locked the door so I could not leave and called the police. I unlocked the door and left because I was extremely uncomfortable with their reaction and 3 nail technicians including the manager chased me to my car screaming and filming me and would not let me leave. Needless to say I will not be back to have these awful nails fixed and I would highly discourage anyone from going to this place of business. read more

I am very happy at Venus. I always ask for Martha and she does an excellent job. My only complaint would be with yhe inconsistency of the charges. There are no posted prices although there is a brochure for the various pedicures. I am never sure of what the final total will be. Last week it was $47 for gel fills and I know I didn't pay that much for my original set last month. Since there are no posted prices I really didn't feel I could dispute that. Add on the tip and all of a sudden it's $56. Would like to know cost upfront. read more

I went on two separate occasions. Unfortunately both times I was nicked enough to draw blood. The first time my skin was filed on multiple fingers causing scrapes and the second time I was cut by a cuticle remover tool on my thumb. I winced and the nail tech put some type of astringent twice and told me to put neosporin when I got home. Attached is the aftermath on my thumb. I really wanted to give this place a chance which is why I went again after the first incident, but unfortunately I will not be going here again. It's not worth risking an infection. The nails techs were nice so it's very unfortunate. read more

This is not a place I recommend. The moment I walked in the nail tech who started my nails had attitude. While trying to remove my nails what I call the nail grinder. The rotating tool brush in the inside of my upper wrist and cut me about a inch long. It was an alone wound and bleed a little. She apologized and when she saw the cut she was going to touch the wound. I quickly responded pulled my wrist away and said don't touch an open wound. She then realized that would not have been good. Then when she continued and was close to removing my previous powdered nails, she knocks my cuticle. I asked her are you ok. She responded why. I mentioned how she nicked me again. She said that maybe I was maybe sensitive. That some people are sensitive. I showed her my wrist and said blood is not being sensitive. A great personality gentleman came to finish my nails. They gave me no discount for the incident. The next day the corner of my index nail is chipped and small areas were missing the top coat. I spoke with the owner. He mentioned to return to fix. My nails were filed shorter to match the chipped nail and a new top coat was applied but you can see the brush streaks in the clear coat. I usually don't write reviews but this type of incident caused me to let everyone know to beware! read more

Venus is a wonderful nail salon! As soon as you walk in, you notice the beautiful salon and are greeted by a friendly staff. The prices are very reasonable compared to other places in town. Trish always does a great job on my nails, she knows exactly what I like! They have a great selection of dip shades which is usually what I choose. It's so nice to have this option in Boerne!
