For Libby, this place is pretty good. Their rooms do smell strange as if a smoker stayed there but then they tried to mask the smell with air fresheners. we have stayed at the Venture Inn many times it was our home away from home !! I had 2 brain surgeries and many more surgeries and it's nice and relaxing and an awesome place to stay !! I wish I could give the customer service a negative review as 1 star feels generous. We were in town for a basketball tournament which this hotel invited people from the tournament to stay here and offered a discounted rate. Upon arrival we went to check in my son told me he wanted to go to the pool, and the lady at the front desk was a little too excited to tell him it was closed. Then the manager pretty much chewed me out saying that it was closed because there were too many kids in there and they weren't following the rules. I tried to explain that we were there to check in and haven't been to the pool but he and the lady at the front desk were very rude to me and my two children about it. I was very disappointed as the pool was the reason we chose to stay here. I understand that managing large groups can be problematic but don't invite teams to stay here if you don't want large groups of children at your hotel. Mostly very put off by how wildly unprofessional the manager was and rudely the front desk lady spoke to me and my children. I was then charged an additional 20 dollars over the rate they promised and she refused to explain the difference. She just said that "she pushed all the right buttons on her end" with no reasonable explanation. The room was dated but clean. The evening staff were very nice and helpful but the next morning the complementary coffee was gone. The woman at the front desk was talking at length to a co-worker. I waited at length for her to finish her conversation before giving up. At the restaurant that morning they were understaffed. We waited about 15 minutes for menus. Ordered coffee then. Solid place to stay if you're staying in Libby. It's not the Ritz, but the people are nice, there's an indoor pool, it's clean, and they give you a 6$ discount on breakfast at their attached restaurant, which makes breakfast basically free. read more

I feel like an honest review is needed for this place as two of the 1 star reviews are ridiculous in my opinion. A 1 star review for not having good coffee? Seriously? The outside is dated looking, but don't let that fool you. As you walk in, you are greeted by Bigfoot! A happy Bigfoot. You'll see when you come. Our room, the deluxe king, was spacious and large! Everything was dated, but very clean and tidy. The bathroom was clean. The room was warm and the bed was very comfy! The staff here was very friendly and welcoming and the rates are very reasonable. I'd challenged others who visit Libby to find another place such as the Venture Inn, well worth the 5 stars! read more

We stayed here for one night over the weekend and although the interior is very dated, our room was nice and clean. I'm a little put off by not having white bedding but I dealt with it. The bathroom was dated with yellow and orange but again, it was clean and the towels were fluffier than a lot of hotels I've stayed at before. The best part was the customer service. Upon check-in we were greeted with a warm welcome. The front desk lady was very nice and the young man helping her was nice as well. They had free cookies, bottled water, and coffee at the front desk and we were also given coupons to use at the restaurant. We didn't use them because we ran out of time but I have eaten there before and the food was very good. I'm not sure if this is the nicest hotel in Libby but it was clean and welcoming. read more

Amazing crew and great place to stay! Hit a deer in the middle of the night and the tow truck driver recommended then. I am so glad. They knew I was beat and trying to find a way to get my car to Spokane and let me check out a bit later.. Also, the restaurant is great They told me it was only open for another half hour when I checked in, to make sure I made it in time, if I was hungry. very nice room with great pillows! We pay over $115 a night per room... Which we have two rooms- and because the maintenance guy never came in to work today, we don't have Internet and we don't have TV (sound yes.. TV no!!!. we had coupons but because our other guests - who did t sleep well - didn't come down - we couldn't use them... we also had to stay another night cause of bad weather conditions and we didn't receive an additional day of coupons - unlike others I talked to who also stayed!!! My wife is from Libby and we came up to visit family for a week. Stayed at the Venture Inn for 3 nights at $132 per night which is incredibly overpriced for the quality of the hotel and rooms. I'm not sure how this place has any good reviews at all. Our room and the whole hotel smelled like smoke when we were in a non-smoking room. The wi-fi didn't reach our room despite the hotel having 3 different access points. The TV would restart multiple times daily. One of the lights in our room didn't work. The pool looked like it hadn't been deep cleaned in years. When we checked out the woman at the counter didn't even ask how our stay was. Won't be staying here again and I'd suggest you look for another hotel in Libby or keep driving. read more

Each time we visit Libby, we stay at the Venture! We really enjoy our stay in the wonderful town and the Venture has never disappointed us. Yes, some staff are more outgoing than others, but truthfully, we appreciate the real-ness of the staff and most of the workers are very friendly. Loved the extra touches of complimentary "cookie of the day"... each day a different yummy cookie to try! When we lost something, the staff was quick to try and help. Rooms were always nice and freshly cleaned each time the cleaning service stopped by. They were always friendly and super helpful! We asked specifically for vacuuming since we had muddy shoes and they accommodated. Of course if you're looking for a ritzy place, this is not the hotel for you. If you're looking for a down-to-earth, local inn with clean rooms, hard-working staff, and a great central location in the quaint peaceful town of Libby, this is your place! From the outside you may not want to stop right away and run right in but once you get inside you will find a kind and helpful front desk staff. While most of the decor in the lobby, hallways, and rooms is outdated, the beds are comfy with lots of pillows but not to thick of a comforter so if you are someone who is always cold I would recommend calling down for another blanket or bringing your own! The bathroom is on the smaller side but extremely clean and stocked with good amenities. You get one free breakfast coupon to use at their restaurant as well, free wifi, a cute postcard to send as a souvenir, and complimentary cold water bottles in the lobby at all times. I grew up in Libby and was recently in town for my parents milestone anniversary, which we decided to host at the Venture Inn. Because it was an open house and over several hours I decided to rent a room for my young children to have a place to go if they got bored and for them to play in the pool. I was shocked by the price they were asking for a basic room $125-$135, but because of the convenience, I booked it. When I checked in, there was a printed sign stating the pool heater was out- I wasn't told this upon booking. I have booked many many hotels that have had a disclaimer prior to booking- under construction, pool closed, etc. The Venture made no note on any site regarding the pool issue. When I mentioned it to the front desk she said that kids were playing in it and she thought it would be fine. I explained to her that we were staying specifically for the pool. Once my children got in the pool we quickly realized there was no way they were going to be able to swim in the freezing cold water. My husband went to complain and ask to check out, he was told "other kids have been in there, it's fine" mind you, we never saw any other humans in the pool for our entire stay. There was no apology or accommodation made. It was a very expensive 10 minute hot tub dip. While cleaning up from the party, the power went out, the hotel had no backup power. Although this wasn't their fault, they didn't have any working flashlights or heat. Mind you it was in the 20's outside and cold. We left the hotel and a few hours later the power came back on. The room was very basic, could use updating for sure. We woke up to the room being 54 degrees. My husband and I had both checked it before bed and it was set to a reasonable heat, we don't know what happened but it was frustrating to say the least to wake up to such a cold room. One positive is they did have a rollaway bed. The restaurant is convenient but basic. Coming from the city and loving delicious food, I would say they lack a lot. But for a country diner they are ok. Although their prices reflect they are far better than they are. The wait staff seemed irritated and annoyed with a party of 8 for breakfast. Oh well we were fed. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again. I literally can't justify the cost of this hotel for what you are getting. We travel a lot and this is one of the most basic hotels with one of the higher price tags in this caliber of accommodations. The Sandman and Evergreen are both much superior hotels/motels in Libby with smaller price tags. As for restaurants, again there are much superior places to eat. read more

My husband and I stumbled into Libby MT on our last leg of a long road trip. We landed at the Venture Motor Inn. The motel is fabulous but don't expect to get a cup of coffee here. It is so weak that it barely qualifies as coffee. The breakfast was good. I had ham and hash browns. But for me a great cup of coffee is what I want in the morning for breakfast.
