But I had to come back and update my post, because once you purchase on even four more sessions, he goes above and beyond my prior 5 star rating. I literally created an account because of this place; I hope everyone who has an opportunity to go to this center will...Arriving at the float center I didn't expect much since I've heard from so many that your first experience was more of a trial run but still an experience. Scott showed me all the amenities and was willing to answer any questions I had. I was thoroughly prepped and comfortable with everything the room had to offer. After the session I walked away with a clear mind and was honestly able to access things that have been floating around my mind better than before I entered. I have never had such a weird experience. My friend had already paid for my session, and Scott still wanted my CC information so he could "charge me after the session." Or, that he would be able to charge me if I was a "no show." I responded that my session was already paid for, and he insisted I leave my CC information. I responded that since it was already paid for we didn't have to go through the electronic system, but I could call in and arrange an appointment. He stated he "understood" and that he would "refund my friend's money." So....he had charged the card BEFORE my appointment was even booked, then wanted my CC info on top of it. I've been wanting to go to a float center for a long time now and was excited to find one here in Ventura. I called and spoke with Scott to get some info. He said he had a lot of availability because it was really slow right now. They close at 8 and I would need to be there for 2 hours for the orientation and the float session. I dont have a set work schedule and sometimes I have to stay late. I was worried that I wouldn't make it in after work in time for the session and he said it's ok if I cancel once or twice, he wont charge me, just book the session and he would understand if i didnt make it. He told me to go online and book a session. I went online and found that every single evening session was booked from now through the next 9 weeks. I called him and told him that, and he immediately got defensive and rude about it. He kept saying "we talked about this" and other ridiculousness. He was super rude and demeaning. I did not appreciate the way he spoke to me, and he was very unorganized with his own schedule. I wanted to go to this place to relieve stress and anxiety, but this guy gave me more anxiety than I started with today. Really disappointed that this is the only float center anywhere near Ventura. This review is from my first visit a few months back. I feel even better about my float today than I did then. It took much less time for me to relax and enjoy the full benefits of the float. It is one of the most amazing experiences and I plan on becoming a regular. Last week my husband, Pablo, told me he had a surprise for me. It's not easy to get a surprise in on me, but he did an excellent job on this one. My surprise was he got me a session at Ventura Float Therapy! Apparently he had been planning this for a couple of weeks. Not only that, but the owner, Scott, took the time to research CRPS to make sure that float therapy would be ok for me to do. Pablo took me this last weekend for my first float session and it was absolutely amazing. First you start with a tour, and an in depth explanation of the peaceful facility. The room is just the right size, is beautifully decorated and has the perfect ambiance for relaxing. There is a shower right next to the float tank for rinsing off, both before and after your float. Scott provides wonderfully soft towels too. After your rinse, it's into the tank. It's a very interesting feeling when you first start to float. The tank only holds about 10 inches (deep) of water. It's the magnesium and Epsom salts that keep you buoyant. Once I was finally relaxed, it was such an amazing feeling to just let go and float. I ended up so relaxed that I caught myself falling asleep in there! It's very rare for me to fall asleep during the day, but what a great surprise. Scott had set it up so I could hear the ocean and waves crashing. It was so peaceful. I spent time praying and meditating on God. I had no idea how tense I was until I was able to fully relax in there. Floating gave me relief for my CRPS, but for my back as well. I had been having the worst trouble with my back. It's been so bad that I could hardly walk or get around. The zero gravity was so refreshing to my body. It was so nice not to feel as painful in there. It is by no means a cure, but floating is certainly therapeutic in a variety of ways. I am so happy that Pablo took me there. It was a terrific experience and I seriously recommend it to anyone who just needs to get away and relax for a couple of hours. It's almost like having a spa day it's so nice. read more

This place is really cool. As a newbie to floating I went in with no expectations and had a wonderful experience. Scott makes you feel very comfortable and explains everything just enough so you feel comfortable but are still free to have your own experience. Loved my first float session! The owner was very helpful in explaining the process since it was my first time. Super clean facility. It felt amazing to float in complete silence and darkness (music is optional and you can always prop open the tank door for a little light if you really want). I recently experienced my first float. Scott was very thorough in explaining how everything worked and what to expect. He also noted that the experience was different for everyone. It took me a little while to let myself fully relax. After a short time I found myself slipping into a deeply relaxed state. The next thing I heard was Scott rapping gently on the tank to wake me up. He said that it took awhile to wake me, so I obviously had gone into a very deep sleep. I left feeling very refreshed and relaxed. I strongly recommend that people try out floating. Never having floated before, I didn't really know what to expect. My husband crushes on Joe Rogan and has heard nothing but great things about floating, so we were thrilled to find a center so close to home. Scott is informative, easy going and has an excitement about him regarding the benefits of this practice. At the very least, you'll get an hour of peace from all of the outside "noise."
