    Company grossly overcharges on the deposit, and makes whatever small amount they owe you inconvenient to get back. Would not recommend.

    I have been here for one month and already regret signing my lease…read more We've had plumbing issues from day 1 and they have done NOTHING to actually fix the issue. We have informed maintenance and the leasing office multiple times and nothing has been done. The one maintenance guy who actually spoke to us about the issue said that "I tried what I could but this solution will not last". I think being able to shower without DIRTY water from someone else's shower/bathroom would be a concern for whoever runs this place; apparently not. -- I was reading through reviews and saw that I am not the only person that has had this plumbing problem! How is this acceptable treatment of your tenants?! Stop building new students centers and actually fix the places where students are living. There are also ants all over the place and some have even bitten my roommate. I cannot wait to leave this awful apartment and move somewhere else next year. I have no intentions of renewing my lease for this awful awful apartment and I highly recommend that anyone that is seriously looking at this place to reconsider. This headache of an apartment is not worth it. EDIT: I changed my initial one star review to three stars. Shortly after i posted this, I received a call from management and they came in and fixed my problems. I am less unhappy with this place now. However, it took me writing a negative review to get their attention about the issues that I've had. While I do appreciate them fixing it, it should not have taken this long nor should I have had to write a negative review for this to occur.

The paint was never fixed and the cabinets were fixed after months and several work orders. I put in several work orders to have the toilet paper rod be installed instead of on the ground where I found it when I moved in and it was installed months later and crookedly. The same situation goes for the towel rod. The mirror had rust stains all over it and was mounted to the wall so it was impossible for me to clean. The shower drain was so slowly that every shower quickly turned into a bath. The airflow was horrible, so there is no point in getting a one bedroom if you cannot even close the door to the bedroom without experiencing extreme temperature differences. The shuttle would randomly be cancelled often. The hallway smelled like something new every day and somehow it was never good--appalling. I vacuumed for hours after moving in and still picked up pet hair for months to come--I never had an animal in the apartment. The laundry room was disgusting and flooded often. People complain of stolen packages often. There are car break-ins in the neighborhood often. The pool is closed for over 75% of the year. To add insult to injury, there was no dishwasher either. After overpaying about $1200 a month in just rent, there are added monthly fees of about $100+ monthly. I would advise to NOBODY to ever live here. I wish I could give 0 stars. Horrible.

    I moved into a property under NorthSteppe Realty recently and have been extremely impressed by…read moretheir management and customer service, not to mention the aesthetically pleasing renovations in our unit (absolutely gorgeous!). The only reason this is not 5 stars is due to several issues upon move in- small maintenance issues such as AC unit not turning on, shower not being turned on in the wall, and back door not locking properly. I put in a maintenance request at 1:30am for these things, and it had already been addressed and given a work order by 5:30am! Maintenance was able to visit the property and work on all requests the day after sending the request in. They also reached out several times throughout the day to ensure everything was resolved and we were satisfied with the service. Overall, we have had amazing and professional service thus far with NS and are extremely happy and satisfied to be living in this unit. *Will update review as needed*

Unless you want to go through a whole year of Torment and absolutely no respect from your leasing company, then don't sign with North steppe. I've been hung up on when trying to get a response for gas, leaks, and constant maintenance problems. They've towed my truck when I pay for parking here and when I told them it was my truck they did nothing about it. Absolutely worst level of customer service you could possibly think of. Companies like this just make people's lives worse and I cannot wait to sign with somebody else, literally I'd rather have anyone else than Northe Steppe. Do you self a favor, find somewhere else.
