I truly enjoyed my visit to Veneto Nails. The salon is large, clean and generates peaceful vibes. They must have the most color options I've ever seen. Picking a color can be tricky because the numbers are written underneath the samples. Be sure to look in the right place when making your selection or you may get an unexpected surprise. I usually squirm getting pedicures because people have tried to take off too much & hurt me. I have a cosmetology degree & went to one main place until it changed ownership so i thought i'd try here. I didn't squirm. I just like to get my feet cleaned, nails trimmed, & a massage. The massage was excellent. It was a perfect pedicure i actually relaxed for. My friends had great service as well. While the quality of work at Veneto Nails is great, the customer service is totally unacceptable. On multiple occasions over the past several years, my regular nail techs would not show up for scheduled appointments or would make me wait 45+ minutes so they could accommodate walk ins and other clients. These nail techs show zero respect for my time, and despite years being a loyal customer since they opened. I feel confident I will have great quality fills at other salons and not have my time, effort and money disregarded. There are too many other salons in San Antonio to keep dealing with this level of unprofessionalism. read more

This place advertised advertises 10% off for new customers (see header here, and google) which ended up not being honored. When I arrived with my daughter, the staff member who helped us confirmed that the discount applied before starting my nails. However, when it was time to pay, the owner said, "We don't do that anymore," and refused to honor it. Since the discount is still being advertised and was verbally confirmed at check-in, I expected it to be honored. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I won't be returning, and I wanted to share this so other customers are aware. read more

Visited this salon for the first time for a pedicure and full set (French). The service was top tier and very attentive. I was offered beverages and snacks while I got my services done. The matcha pedicure smells amazing and my tech was gentle. The tech doing my French on my hands made sure to check in with me on how thin I wanted my line, which I appreciated. I've came by several times because my first experience was 10/10 but since then have not been as satisfied as I first was. My most recent experience I got a mani + pedi combo (shellac) and eyebrows waxed & paid $172 + tip = $190. Personally didn't want all the extras (scrubs, wax and hot towels) but I think the individual misunderstood me when I said I didn't want that and just wanted to a longer massage with lotion. Anywho, that isn't what is most disappointing.. my nails are actually chipping because the individual who did them painted my cuticles so now every time I wash my hands, dishes and even put up my hair.. it chips or lifts. There's little bubbles on my nails and some parts (on the sides) aren't even fully painted. OH and not to mention, I still had to pluck my eyebrows when I got home. I feel terrible spending almost $200 and nothing good to show for it except for my toes. This is barely a 10 day old mani. :( read more

So, I didn't listen! I read the reviews and still walked in for a pedicure. The guy who did my toes totally shaved the nail down, cut them so short that I'm in pain! I asked the front desk if he was actually licensed! I'm old and have been getting pedicure for over 30 years! This was hands down the worse one ever! When I asked him to fix the crooked nails he tried to cut the nail again! $55 for a horrible job that I could have probably done a better job MYSELF! I'm never look for compensation but I seriously should have never paid for this crap job! read more

When I finally gave up and told them I was leaving, they asked me to please let them do a polish change -- for which they charged me $16. Then I recalled that the previous visit the tech walked away when she was done and left me sitting for twenty minutes.
