I am from out of town but this salon looks beautiful so I went in and requested a pedicure and regular manicure but my old powder gel nails needed to be soaked off. When I asked the guy to wrap my nails in foil during the pedicure to save time. He just waved me off and said Later. I had to insist because I did not want to waste time.Even the female nail techs were agreeing with me. He said something rude to them and then begrudgingly got the foils and wrapped my nails. Sure enough, they slid right off when it was time to start the manicure. The guys there in that establishment have a real attitude towards women in my opinion. I'm loving the instant gratification here - no waiting, plus a ton gel polish colors to choose from. However, it's a bit of a snooze fest - I'm stuck playing with my phone for 30 minutes, which isn't really my thing. They don't really converse with you. I started coming here a few weeks ago after my old salon took a decline in sanitation. Anyway, the $30 gel manicure turn out to be $37, and when I asked about gratuity, I got a big fat maybe - first they said yes, then no, and only cash tips are accepted, allegedly. If I could give no stars I would: I've been coming here for a while. A few months back, I believe they had new owners take over the business. It has changed since. I always seem the same person. The one time I had a different nail tech, my nails chipped within two days. When I went in to get them fixed the owner accused me of breaking them off on purpose. Refused to give me a refund. My daughter came to get her nails done for her senior homecoming and off the bat there were issues with the online booking system. She booked for herself in advance and received a confirmation text for 6 pm. Thank goodness she clicked on the confirmation link, because it said it was moved up to 4:30 pm and didn't notify her. They simply moved her as they pleased with no notification at all. When my daughter arrived, the owner was the one offering to do her nails. He was very rough and inattentive throughout the manicure. She said he continuously checked his phone during the appointment, was ON his personal phone with someone for a period of time WHILE doing her nails, disappeared to the back for an extended period of time and left her sitting there, talked to the receptionist negatively about other clients still in the room, and seemed annoyed with offering to take her as his client. My daughter also noted that the receptionist was rolling her eyes and scoffing at clients while talking to them in a negative tone. Most of the other staff members seemed irritated anytime the receptionist told them their appointments were here. It seems like there is a negative work environment here as well as a lot of negativity toward their clients. :( The price for her mani was way higher than she expected first of all, and she paid with card. The staff here does not notify you of up charges or what you're paying for, so for all we know the owner up charged her just because he was the one doing her nails. My daughter said there was no tip option on the receipt, and she had no cash with her. She told me when she was leaving, the owner and receptionist rolled their eyes at her and commented on the fact she didn't leave a tip in front of other customers! Tips are for good service and for deserving people, in this case, she was right to not leave one. The customer service at this establishment is non existent. My daughter is not going to come back; the way she was treated was unacceptable and I hope this review serves as a warning for all! Can't stress enough what a wonderful establishment this is. No salon like this one one in the area!! From the minute you walk in the atmosphere is professional, sophisticated, and classy. There's a variety of services, from needing a polish change to some brand new fierce brows and lashes. All certificates and licenses posted. This is the real deal, all services are performed by professionals. Great for a girls/guys day out, or hosting your wedding party. Little bubbly never hurts nobody. Bring the kids for a polish. I made my appointment as well as both my daughters for Friday at 5. Yes they were busy but they did not disappoint at all!! They were all so welcoming and knowledgeable about what all 3 of us wanted. I can't even explain the disappointment I have with the new owner ship of the nail salon. I have been a loyal customer to this family for over a decade now and was there when the original shop first opened. I went for an appointment yesterday after not going for 2 months. I was appalled at the conditions of the bathroom. Floors have not been swept or mopped in what looks like weeks and the sinks are turning black!! There was also NO SOAP in the one bathroom. I felt absolutely disgusting after using the bathroom. The whole atmosphere has completely changed in the salon. It's so sad because I know the previous owners took so much pride in the work they did to build that salon and now it's falling apart. read more

I came in today for a manicure and pedicure while waiting for my vehicle to get an inspection across the street. The lady who did them was very nice and the massage chairs actually worked which I found to be a nice change from some other places. She wasn't pushy about upselling and my mani/pedi was $39. The pedicure was nice and was the base option at $26. The entire mani/pedi took about an hour. The reason for the 2 stars is the paint job. Unfortunately it is probably the worst quality paint job I've ever had. She did 2 coats but the top coat didn't even come close to the edge so all the way around each nail there is a visible edge where only the first coat is. I won't be back unfortunately. read more

So disappointed today. Part of a bridal party - my daughter, the bride, has been coming her for years. I had an appt for a manicure. Rest of the bridal party had pedis too - asked if I could add that - and was told sure. After my pedicure and waiting half hour, I inquired what was going on and asked as told they thought only wanted a pedicure - they "forgot" my manicure, but they said they couid still take me. I waited another 25 minutes, while many other people arrived and were serviced. At rhis point I had been here for 2 hours, and I told them it didn't seem like they were getting to me, and since my two young grand daughters had now been done for 45 minutes, it seemed like I should give upand the front desk gentleman said "ok". Sadly, For U Nails has become a COVID19 business casualty. Business slowed during the pandemic and the landlord chose not to renew their lease. And now the space remains empty which makes wonder about the owner's business knowledge. Gerry, the owner of For U Nails had the courtesy to call me to both cancel my appointment and to let me know they were closing. I had been a customer since now they opened and I know the entire family. I have moved on to Venetian Nails Spa and while I have read negative comments about the quality of service, for the moment I must disagree. Kimberly, my manicurist, is efficient, quick and precise with ANC. The space is limited but somehow they make it work. I am told that they will be moving into a larger space about 100 feet from where they are currently located in early Spring. By then I may be able to award them the fifth star. read more

I've never felt so unwanted walking in to support a small business... especially driving 30 mins to come here. My experience consists of not wanting anyone to do my nails about 5 people who walked in after me we're taken care of immediate. I wanted an ANC with a pedi, after waiting for so long and finally getting to a table I thought okay maybe I was just overthinking but then the nail tech drilled my nails so much to the point where I was bleeding and she did not even stop to see if it hurts or not she continued to drill until i had to tell her to stop... Fast forward to the $50 pedicure I got with a sloppy cut and polish no cleaning filing or hot rocks! My nails were cut super short... this pedicure was less than 10 MINS! My nails have always come out pretty good but they're very expensive. The attitude of the employees can be questionable. I'm mostly just disappointed that I got my mom a gift certificate for Christmas and she said she had a really bad experience there, that the staff was very rude and condescending, which I can totally see. I was a long time customer of Venetian before they changed ownership. After the business was sold, the establishment completely changed. Almost all of the original employees left. I made an appointment in advance, only to be told after my polish was already removed that the person I made an appointment with had another customer they were servicing and would not be available for another hour. What's worse is that several employees laughed at me about the situation rather than handling it professionally. The entire time I was there, water (or what I assume to be water) continued to drip on me every few minutes from the ceiling. I went to use a new gift card to pay for the service, and was told several times that the gift card only had a few dollars on it, even though the receipt for the gift card said otherwise. Eventually they saw the amount on the gift card, which makes it appear like they were just lying about the amount on the gift card in the first place. After leaving, the polish cracked on two different fingers within two days, and a third within the next week. I will not be returning, and would recommend that others avoid this place. read more

I hate to have to write this review, but the quality of service at Venetian has all but disappeared. I have been a customer at the salon for almost 4 years, and I will likely never give them my money or patronage again. Under the new ownership, the quality of service and professionalism has completely changed. Many of the employees who were at the salon under the previous owners have left, and the vibe of the salon and the staff has completely changed. Going for your nails should be a chance to relax and unwind, and I now leave the salon even more tense than I arrived. Even with an appointment, I had to wait over 20 minutes to start my service on more than one occasion under the new ownership. I have consistently used the same technician my entire time at Venetian, but now, under the new ownership, every request I have made for my nails (ombre, colored french, basic designs) is "too difficult" for her, and I am guilted into changing my plans while paying top prices for services. Mind you, these are all services/nail design styles that she has done on numerous occasions in the past for me. They have also instituted many new fees, which they do not inform you of until after service is completed. I have NO problem paying for quality service, but that is not what I am receiving here. Unfortunately, someone who was a loyal customer for years is now moving on to more reputable salons in the area. I hope they can turn their business around, but I won't be staying around to see if they do. read more

I was told to come by a coworker, and I got a plain manicure with A. I asked the girl multiple times to buff them down more as the ANC was really thick on my nails. Which she did but it remained super thick. She also never pushed back my cuticles or cut them, so weak later when my nails grew out a little bit the manicure was totally uneven it looks awful. My husband treated me to a mani/pedi for my birthday and my experience here was awful. I expressed my wish to keep my fingernails a natural shape, as I had grown them out, and the tech filed them inward on the sides, making them look unnatural and crooked. One of my big toes was filed in a slanted way, when I had gone in with a trimmed, square toenail. I'm missing about half my nail on one side now, and it looks ridiculous. I also mentioned to the tech that there were several bubbles cured into my nail polish, and she picked one out and then slapped more polish over the top of it. She promised to fix it, and then just painted on the top coat and told me to wash my hands. I tried reaching out to express my dissatisfaction, and the response I got was first doubt that the tech did that, and then I should come back; that they fix "worse things" all the time.
