The owner, a native of Russia, did most of the decorations, and some of the desserts. A people person, she will happily tell you how she made her way from Russia, where she was a doctor, to Billings and started a tea room. It's an interesting story. With a variety of teas, about twenty or so in fruit, green, black, decaf, and not a tea-bag in sight, you can pair your tea with any number of desserts from baklava to cake or cheesecake. The variety changes daily, so getting the rundown of the available deliciousness in the display case is almost a must-have. Also available, for those so inclined, are Russian language lessons. They try to source all ingredients locally, they make their own breads and sweets, and partner with local citizens who grow greens, veggies, etc. Their hours are not set yet as they are just starting up but I know they are open for lunches on week days and brunch on Saturday starting at 10AM. I had the croissant French toast which is soaked in vanilla cream overnight (SO GOOD) and my husband had eggs with avocado toast (4 thick slices with generous amounts of avocado) and the side of potatoes was amazing-rosemary flavored and crispy. The only complaint I have if I have to have one is that the jalapeños were very thickly sliced and took over the entire flavor of any bite they were in; a smaller dice on them would've allowed for the jalapeños to be spread out over the entire nacho and not overwhelm the rest of the flavors. My companion had the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and said they were both a solid burger and fries no complaints. Wheelchair accessibility: accessible parking across the street with a crosswalk; the front door is heavy so you're gonna either need help or be able to open a heavy door and there's actually two doors but plenty of room to maneuver between. the path of travel wasn't bad and there's wheelchair accessible seating in the back of the restaurant. There is no wheelchair accessible seating in the bar area. The bathroom door was light .The accessible stall in the women's bathroom had a grab bar, but there was not sufficient turning radius and the soap was up a little high.
