Based on our personal experience, we would not recommend Mike Mamelli of Mamelli Custom Luxury…read moreHomes or architect J. Damon LaBlue of JDL Designs. We were required to pay approximately half of the total cost of our home addition, along with an additional deposit, before work began. We were told excavation for the footers would begin the following week, but our project experienced significant delays. JDL Designs directed the subcontractor to remove approximately 20 feet of our front-room and kitchen interior wall to prepare for the installation of glass sliding doors. The work was abruptly halted after it was discovered that the project could result in the county issuing a red tag on our home due to permitting or code compliance concerns. As a result, the large opening in the wall was only temporarily covered with rough drywall and tape, leaving the area unfinished. In addition, the power to our electrical outlets was cut off along the entire length of the front-room and kitchen walls leaving us without usable electrical service on that side of our home. In our view, this work was not performed in good faith or with proper planning. Despite the significant disruption and damage caused to our home, JDL Design has still not accepted responsibility or restored the affected area. As of today, seventeen months later, the damage remains unresolved. From our perspective, the architectural portion of the project took nearly a year to complete. During that time, communication was extremely difficult. Our phone calls often went unanswered, and we struggled to get updates on the status of our plans. When the plans were finally submitted for approval, they were rejected because of numerous errors that had to be corrected. As a result, we hired a new architect and engineer to completely redraw the plans, resulting in additional expense and delays and empty promises. After requesting a refund for work we believed was not completed satisfactorily, the situation became contentious. During one interaction, a disagreement with Damon LaBlue escalated into a hostile situation. We experienced John Damon LaBlue unwilling to work with us in a professional manner to collaboratively resolve the conflict and bring the matter to a close which further complicated an already difficult situation. As a result, we were unable to recover all our funds. We estimate that we suffered a financial loss of approximately $6,000. Overall, we found the experience to be frustrating and disappointing. In our opinion, the communication, professionalism, and handling of our project did not meet our expectations. Based on our experience, we would not choose to work with Mamelli Custom Luxury Homed or J, Damon LaBlue known as JDL Design again.

They…read morehave handled our business as if it were their own business and have played a vital role in our transformation to being a "tech-e" company. When we first began working with OC-IT to us a PC was a fancy calculator that you could play music on... We were a challenge for them I'm sure. :) They were very gracious and have frankly trained and guided us into practices that reshaped the way this 35 year old company has done business. Our company had been in an office in La Mirada for 25 years when we made the decision to move to Irvine, we had a new office space and knew it was time to "get with the times". OC-IT consulted with us, installed and now manages our VOIP Phone systems, Servers, work stations, laptops, cell phones, mail server... I'm sure they do even more... I just don't know what its all called! ;) These guys are amazing, really amazing... We deal with hundreds of professional businesses in our line of work and OC-IT truly handles our account with a goal to exceed our expectations. (They work on Mac too which is not as common as you would think) I sort of feel bad I haven't written a review on them until now... they are an essential part of our business, shame on me for neglecting to give a review so long. NOTE: Ive written plenty on Pizza places and Burger joints lol... the truly important things in life! Personal Recommendations? Angela over there is an angel, Forrest cares more about our projects than we do, Mark could probably build and design a real life 'Death Star' (he's that much of Tech Nut) Honestly, they're all great... work with them and they will become part of your companies culture and will define a new definition of service, professionalism and efficiency.
