While all companies are great and high-rated, Mercury stood out among all of them. They were the only company that actually went up into our attic during the estimate showing how thorough they are. We also appreciated that the owner (Ian and Jason) was personally involved in the installation. Their dedication was impressive--they worked through a heatwave and even stayed overtime to get our AC running as soon as possible when they see how miserable we were during the heatwave. The workmanship was excellent, with minimal damage to our home, and they left everything clean and tidy. It's rare to find a company this honest, hardworking, and detail-oriented. Highly recommend!

What I appreciated most was that he didn't just start replacing parts. He thoroughly diagnosed the system, explained what he was testing, and walked me through the results. He showed me that the capacitor was testing low, the contactor was worn and pitted, and even performed a megger test on the compressor to verify it was still healthy. After the repairs, he confirmed everything was working properly by showing me the compressor amperage had dropped back to normal and that the system had an 18-degree temperature split. Keon was patient with all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. He explained the pros and cons of the recommended repairs, including the hard-start kit, so I could make an informed decision instead of feeling pressured. I really appreciated his transparency and professionalism. By the time he was done, our AC was cooling properly again, and he even worked with us on the final price. If you're looking for an HVAC technician who is knowledgeable, honest, thorough, and takes the time to educate his customers, I highly recommend Keon Garcia. He was thorough, even recording videos of his initial inspection so that we had a record. I especially appreciated that he called out Alameda regulations that were going to change in 2029 (this informed our decision to go with a heat pump now) On the day of the installation, we had an amazing experience working with Sam, Benny, Jesus, and Jorge. They were always very thoughtful and polite. Anything that might deviate from the original quote, they would give us a headsup. For example, they noticed that one of the pipes looked missing from the outlet in the yard, and that they would just charge us for parts if they needed to go out to buy a pipe and install it. Fortunately, the pipe was just hidden. They even went out of their way to help us fix one of our broken stairway steps. It was an incredibly smooth process, and we LOVE how quiet the heat pump is. Hi Yelpers! Okay, I'm going to be very honest. Before the project of the air conditioner started,…read moreI would have rated my review at 3 stars. Fix/repair or replace? We were going back and forth with quotes and it made me dizzy. I've worked with FUSE with 4 prior projects and was extremely thrilled with the work and prices. So, when we had to replace/fix an air conditioner, it was a no brainer to call FUSE. But, this time around it was not as seamless as prior projects. There was a lack of communication, there was a lot of miscommunication and there were so many people (too many cooks spoil the broth - phone operators, technicians, email & text personal) from FUSE working on my project. It was like the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing. It was confusing to say the least. The staff is very caring. That is without doubt. But, I never knew where I stood until we finally decided to get a new air conditioner installed. My tenants were losing their patience with FUSE. There were too many interruptions and unknowns. BUT, IN A NUTSHELL - IF YOU ARE PATIENT, FUSE'S PRICES AND THE FINISHED WORK IS SUPERIOR. Our disgruntled tenants even said, "FUSE really does good work. They're efficient, neat and thorough." As they say, "Patience is a virtue." One must be patient for the payoff as it is well worth it.
