Dr. Kent was one of my options as a member of the Anthem Healthkeepers section of Bluecross, and he had quite a lengthy service record as a physician, so I opted for him. His office was very quaint, didn't look like a doctor's office from the outside at all. Parking was easy, and the front desk employee was pleasant enough. They asked me to call my insurance company later to have Dr. Kent listed as my PCP, though when I did so later I was told that that was unnecessary and that Dr. Kent would definitely be properly compensated regardless; I get the feeling that many of Kent's patients have been a little problematic in terms of payment based on the way the employee approached the situation. I didn't have to wait very long at all before Dr. Kent came to get me. We went through the process of taking my history and basic measurements, though he did seem a bit rushed in doing so; his explanation was that one of his nurses wasn't there that day, so it's understandable I suppose. After that I was whisked down the hall to do the usual fluid tests and that process was about what you'd expect from a place of this nature, though they did it very expediently. Returned to Kent post-tests a few minutes later and he saw nothing of note on my lab results. Need to lose a little weight, though I was well-aware of that before I came in (if you see all my restaurant reviews on here, it shouldn't be any surprise that I have gained a few pounds!). A few days later, he called me back with the additional lab results and told me that everything checked out and that he wished me much luck in the future as I would likely not have to return for a year or two. Overall, he seemed quite nice and well-informed and I would likely return to him for another yearly checkup or if I was experiencing general problems. I'd take him over PatientFirst anyday! Overall: 4.0 stars ----------- Pros: - He has lots of experience, he's straightforward, and he's attentive. - Easy parking. - Very short wait, and your visit probably won't take too long. Cons: - Admittedly, I did feel rushed through the history-taking process. If there had been something wrong with me, I would have been a bit worried that he might have missed something. - The practice has a very informal feel to it, though it doesn't really detract from the quality of care you're receiving.

He's got a great sense of humor and he's easy to talk to. He really listens to you and provides excellent advice based on a conservative approach (ie. therapy before surgery). I don't ever feel like he's just prescribing me something to shut me up or make his drug reps happy. I've never had a hard time getting an appointment and every other doctor he's given me referrals to have been great as well. Best. Doctor. Ever. Seriously, I can't say enough good things.

Whenever I have an appointment, I don't wait more than 10 minutes to be called in. The people who do the bloodwork here are incredible. No fishing around for veins, they know exactly what they're doing. I've never had an issue until my last visit where they forgot to test for one panel I had asked for. While I was annoyed about this (they blamed it on being short staffed), I decided it could wait for another 6 months before my next panel. I would recommend this office!

I…read morehave been a patient for 5 years, but have to go through what appears to be a national call service to get a new appointment. "We appreciate your call. Estimated waiting time is 12 minutes." After 5 minutes, my wait time was reduced to 10 minutes. And on it went for 15 minutes. So I hung up and tried the website. To get an appointment, I was directed to call the number I just dialed, or schedule something for MARCH 2024. So I re-dialed again at 4:08 p.m. and an automated service told me the switchboards were closed until tomorrow. I have no experience with the doctors, so I cannot comment on that aspect of the practice. But if you are looking for a practice that has easy accessibily - DO NOT choose this one.

I went to see him for an annual wellness checkup and was prescribed a medication for my anxiety. He told me that we would check in after a month of me taking the medication to see if I was doing well with it. I assumed this would just be over the phone as is normal practice with most doctors. When I called back after a month, he was on vacation for 2 weeks and did not have anyone at the office. So I was off my prescription for about a week before getting ahold of him and experiencing serious withdrawals. Then when I finally was able to contact him he told me I would need to come in person for an appointment for a refill on my medication (this is not standard practice and I've never had this happen before... it's unusual to be asked to come in for a full appointment for a REFILL of something the doctor has already prescribed). It's clear that he's only trying to make money by doing this. My insurance does not cover anything outside of an annual wellness exam, so it would be $90 for me to just get a REFILL of my medication. Absolutely ridiculous. Would not recommend this crook of a doctor. Additionally, when I called him to express my concerns he was EXTREMELY RUDE.

I always felt like the support staff would rather be playing on their phone than assisting me, and I would have a very long wait while I was in the office to see him. It would also take a significantly amount of work to get refills called it. I felt like I was bothering the staff to do their jobs. Then, two years ago I had an injury and made a 'first available' appointment, and was seen by Dr. Miller. Well, she was FANTASTIC! She took the time to listen to me and really was far superior to Dr. Veech, so I called to have my annual switched over to Dr. Miller. I had to wait 6 months to get an appointment, but it was worth it. I have been going to her for the last year and a half, and then I get a letter in the mail that she is leaving the practice. So now I'm leaving the practice too.

They were both extremely rude and showed no compassion. I have had friends express similar horror stories going to this practice.... They are extremely disorganized. I am looking for a new primary care doctor. The experience with the staff was unacceptable.

We have several members of our family with very specific health needs and Dr. Carl and his staff keep us up to date so we don't have to remember all of the details! They take care of it for you. Cathy is the lead nurse and she is always super organized and extremely helpful and communicative! Colleen is such a sweet and welcoming member of WellcomeMD. I always love seeing her face!:) Heidi is fabulous on the phone and great with communications. She gets the job done! But when it comes to your health, your relationship with your doctor, it's an intimate dynamic because it requires clarity and trust on the part of the doctor and patient. Dr. Carl is so relaxed that he puts his patients at ease immediately. He is thorough and goes through all of your blood panels with you one-on-one and makes excellent suggestions and also is complimentary if he feels that you are doing well. He will prescribe supplementation only if it is reflected as needed in your bloodwork. Personally, my blood pressure zooms up every time I go to the doctor.
