I cannot rave enough about this tasty vegan spot. We decided to go with the vegan chicken cheesesteak with fries, and it was a perfect portion to share. The flavor was out of this world. The texture was perfection. The service was also really nice. It is a very large restaurant so you can bring large groups. It's a little on the pricey end for sandwiches, but once you try the food, you will know it is well worth it. I was happy to find vegan food in south Jersey! My dad never had sweet potato fries so we tried those. They were actually crispy unlike Chikfila! I definitely recommend them. My dad had the meatball sandwich which he enjoyed. We tried the smoky tasting Mac and cheese (I forget what it was on the menu but there were two options). I had the shrimp which had the same consistency as shrimp from what I remember. I probably wouldn't get that again but I was hoping my Mom would try one because she normally likes actual fried shrimp (she wouldn't try!). Delicious vegan comfort food. We are so happy that Vegans R Us has opened in Atlantic City and ordered from them a couple of times each on our latest visits to New Jersey. They offer delivery through a couple of the services and we had one small issue with a driver picking up the wrong order, but Vegans R Us made sure that we got the right order directly after that, and even let hubby keep the "mistake order" of pancakes. We were so happy with the food, but even happier with how everything got handled; this is the mark of a true professional. I will definitely plan to dine in at some point but for now the delivery orders do seem to arrive hot. And they definitely help to troubleshoot if you get the wrong order. I finally got to try the po boy shrimp on a roll. You can order a half or whole sandwich. I ordered a half. It was loaded with the vegan shrimp. It was very tasty. I forgot to tell them to put the sauce on the side. I had about a 45 minute drive back home and I didn't want my bread to become soggy. The sauce was mild spicy and tasty. The vegan shrimp was in every bite of my sandwich. I did buy the lemon cake and chocolate chip cookies. I did not take a picture, I ate it on my way home. I enjoyed all the food I received. Well I'm hooked. I heard about Vegans are Us when they announced their Atlantic City location after a friend was at their opening. I went to the Vineland location since I was in the area. The staff is wonderful and friendly. I said it was my first time there and wanted to a suggestion. They recommended the chicken cheesesteak as it was a best seller. I couldn't have been happier with it. Lots of chicken and the cheese was delicious. I would have loved to have stayed to eat there because the place it really nice inside and the music was great, but unfortunately I had to get take out. I was in town for a vacation and saw may be a couple dozen people using their phones to take pictures outside VAU as I passed by, thinking a celebrity must be inside, and I later found out that it was the grand opening of "The Walk" area restaurant. I had the Pulled Pork with Sweet Potato Fries and the Organic Mango Kale Ginger Smoothie. After eating, I just had to sit here because it was just a super special experience. Very disappointed. They must be really struggling because everything is severely overpriced for such a tiny portion. I ordered the mushroom cheesesteak and it was all bread, tomatoes, mayo and ketchup. There was only a little bit of mushrooms, peppers and cheese. I literally tried to scoop the heavily poured ketchup off of the sandwich before I ate it but there was so much I couldn't get it off. it was like eating a saucy piece of bread and tomato. Besides that, they cut the paper towels in half (they were half size to begin with!) so we were left with very thin quarters of paper towels. The grilled cheese BLT had good flavor but it was tiny, like something you would give a child. I'm highly disappointed in my vegan community - we need to do better! I have no problem paying for good food but leaving a restaurant still hungry makes me feel like I overpaid for lunch. We stopped in around 3pm Saturday 11.30.19 for linner. I was pleasantly surprised by the extensiveness of the menu. We ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwiches with the special sauce. I loved the pickles and the sauce on the sandwich. We had sweet potato fries on the side that were amazing. We also ordered a side of cashew mac and cheese which was quite tasty. I really enjoy vegetarian food so I was excited to stop by. Even my meat eating dining partner loved her meal. The interior is how you might remember it when it was Bain's Deli. The atmosphere is nice and everything appeared very clean. I loved the R&B music they were playing. Service was great and there was a decent amount of people in there for an odd time of day. We can't wait to come back and try the pulled pork. My only comment is on the buns. They are quite large and kind of engulf the contents of the sandwich. The mac and cheese was horrible, it was discolored,dry, and had very weird taste. When i told the cashier about it, she apologized and gave us a free cookie?? Im so confused, what happened to refund. I look to vegan and vegetarian restaurants as healthy alternatives; I have not full embraced the concept nor the lifestyle. I was not unduly impressed with Vegans Are Us but I cannot say the place is bad but in its infancy I expected that the restaurant would be shuttered within weeks (due to customer service failings). There's a dearth of this type of restaurant in this area and the food really isn't bad so Vegans Are Us continues to survive. I've been back a time or two. Customer service is still a bit on the disappointing side but the food is decent (not fantastic). Sadly, the prices have take a jump recently (like everywhere else) so I won't be going often henceforth. With that being said, I would not discourage anyone from giving it a try. Maybe you'll have more patience with the staff than I do. read more

I had high hopes for this place. Was excited all week to try them. With such a great looking menu, what vegan wouldn't be. I ordered through grub hub a number of items. My order was delivered and 90% of it was missing. Out of what the dropped off -the fries weren't even cooked. Cold and soft. The kale salad which they claim to be the most popular was nothing but a little bowl of chopped kale with a tbs of shredded carrots and like 3-4 cherry tomato's. No seeds or any of the toppings promised (picture below). They claimed they didn't have the supplies to make my order so instead of calling me to let me know so I can cancel it and order elsewhere they sent a make shift sandwich with cold fries and the "salad". I'm hoping they were just having a bad day otherwise I can't understand how they stay in business. I'd skip this place if I were you. I hope they get their act together. read more

Was traveling through the area after getting a tuneup on our tandem bike. I searched Vegan into Yelp searching for a delicious lunch. Vegans Are Us was the first spot that popped up. After taking a dive looking at the menu, my mouth was watering. I immediately called to see if they were open, as this was during the Covid-19 pandemic. They confirmed that they are open and 100% vegan/plant based, so I placed our orders. Upon walking in to the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean/modern/charming the place is. Again, I could only "take out" the food, as this was during the great pandemic of 2020. The food was simply amazing! The buffalo drumettes are an absolute must have!!! The drumettes have a skewer put through them so you can hold like a real chicken wing, how clever! After polishing off the Ultimate Beast Mac N Cheeseburger, I knew I had to try everything else on their menu, but was entirely too full. I took photos of all the items we enjoyed and promise they were just as good as they looked. We continued on with our day and drove to wildwood to test our bike out and ride around. I just couldn't stop thinking about how good the food was here, we stopped back again for dinner and dessert on our way back home to Bucks County, PA. I WISH I WAS A LOCAL! I wasted over $20 on my order because the food was so horrible that it was essentially inedible. I recently started the Daniel fast for the first time. As a result, I was still craving "regular" food, as I'm not completely used to the vegan diet yet. I was getting my hair done and the stylist recommended this restaurant. She told me that she tried a sample of the drummettes and Mac and cheese and they were pretty good. I decided to order the cashew Mac and cheese and the buffalo drummettes after researching reviews. The pictures online looked great and other reviewers confirmed how delicious the food is. I was so excited to try it because I desperately craved the taste of some familiar soul food without breaking my diet. I got there and the employees were very friendly and the atmosphere was very clean. I decided to add some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to my order as well. I was so hungry, I couldn't wait to dig in so I decided to eat my food in my car. I knew I messed up when I pulled the Mac and cheese, dripping with oil, out of the bag. My mistake was confirmed when I took the lid off and got a whiff of the aroma smh. I tried one bite and I was done. It had a really funky, indescribable, somewhat spicy taste that I wasn't expecting from Mac and cheese. I tried my best to like the chicken but after one bite, I had to spit that out too. The chicken had no buffalo sauce on it. It seemed to be drenched in Louisiana hot sauce and that's it. My food doesn't even look like the review pictures online so idk if they hired new cooks or if this was simply a mistake. Regardless, after spending over $20, I expected to walk away somewhat satisfied and I wasn't. I have been waiting for this place to open up for so long and today is the day!!! I entered the resturant and was immediately greeted by a case of cakes and ready to go vegan sides. Soulful music was playing in the background and two lovely staff members greeted me with smiles. I was able to sit and review the EXTENSIVE MENU before deciding on cheese grits and sausage. The food came out hot and with a smile. The grits were perfect, as a child of southern parents I consider myself a grits connesuir and I give these grits a . The sausage were savory and a non vegan wouldn't know the difference. The food was served on paper products which wasn't my preference but a kudos to being environmentally friendly by saving water and recycling. My only quip about the resturant is the alacart menu. I think they should do a hungry man vegan meal so people can get a taste of potatoes, eggs, sausage, and pancakes or grits. I think should also do at least one meal with two sides for dinner as well.
