The staff at Veekoo are phenomenally kind. The ambiance is great. They offer curbside and take-out, which seem to be a popular option, but I've never had a bad experience dining-in. Veekoo has a great selection of options, which makes this a popular gathering place for our large family. We have picky eaters and dietary restrictions, and in that regard, Veekoo never disappoints.

Well we found Costco selling gift cards for this restaurant and since it was near us we decided to give it a try. To start with the restraining wants it to be treated as upscale but we didn't feel like it. Our waiter was a little rude and didn't care about answering our questions and just wanted to get it over with. Food prices vs food portions are not at all aligned. Veggies are plenty but meat items are just sprinkled on. Food taste is meh. We tried two soups, hot and sour and pork wonton. Both were bland and lacked any seasoning. Hot and sour had a funny smell and we could never finish it, wonton soup had at least good wontons but the broth was like water with some spring onions. Pad thai was ok but again hardly 4 pieces of shrimp and not much seasoning, we could only eat it with their chilli oil. Saving grace was their Szechuan chicken which was flavorful and great but again filled up with veggies and very less chicken. We had ordered take out for an earlier time and got Honey Glazed Walnut shrimp. You would expect Shrimps to be honey glazed but only walnuts were honey glazed and shrimp was just seasoning less fried shrimp, big disappointment.

Great food, great service and can be busy. The walnut shrimp is off the charts and pad thai is great. Sushi is also good, I was disappointed w the portion for Honey Walnut Shrimp- $28 for a small size which has downgraded since the last time I was here. Overall great place for asian food!

Sushi quality is great! Little bit pricey but great quality. Larger pieces of fish which is nice.

When you're bored on a Saturday with no plans choose Asian fusion. Veekoo was top notch. Good vibe but not over the top. Super fast service. Everything tasted amazing. We can't wait to go back!

In terms of seating, they do not have a lot of seating that is viable. You have one table that's position right at the door. One table that is right in front of the napkins and between the pick up and the sodas. One table that is a bit too close to the bathrooms. That means there are basically 3 tables that are the most viable to use that are left. When we went, they were obviously the only tables taken. I asked for a table in a quiet section of the restaurant. They put us with my back to a table of 8 women who laughed, screamed and cackled so loudly that we could barely hear each other. But the food was the worst part. I ordered the Crispy Calamari & Edamame - $19 with a very interesting description. What came to the table were deep fried calamari rings, no different than you'd get at Denny's. I then ordered the Pan Seared Wild Alaskan Halibut - $43 and what arrived at the table was pathetic. I've had Halibut many times and it is moist and separates in large moist flakes. What was on my plate turned into mush when I tried to use my fork. Literal mush, which typically indicates that the fish was many days old, else it would have been flaky. With it being mush, it was disgusting and inedible. After dining at Nectar many, many times over the last 10 years, I'll never go back.

Went back again after a 5-star-worthy visit the first time!…read more Once again this place blew me away! This time I went with my mom and her boyfriend and we all loved the food and left with our bellies full! Our server was very attentive to us, kept our drinks filled, cleared our table of dirty plates quickly, and didn't make us feel rushed or pressured at all. We were disappointed to see that there was no soft shell crab, honey-coconut shrimp, or egg custard dim sum (all of which were present during my first visit and I was looking forward to) but given how wonderful everything else was, it wasn't a big deal The building was still crowded even though we went on a Tuesday evening, but I hear on weekends the line can be out the door so in comparison to that it sounds like we avoided most of the crowd. There were consistently workers keeping the food stocked and the building clean aswell. Despite the mild disappointment of my second visit, I'll still be returning and continuing to recommend this place to friends and family :)

Lobsters and crabs were abundant. I learned about this place awhile ago from YouTube of which many gave praises. We frequented many mid level AYCE places like this and we've found that as time goes by, quality degrades with restaurants like this. Now there was a rather long length of time between discovering this place on YouTube and actually visiting this place. I wonder if the praises that were sung about this place were still valid. I would say yes. As previously mentioned, lobsters and crabs were abundant and makes it worth the trip on that alone. As for the other offerings, it was mostly surprisingly good. Don't expect Michelin quality food here. Generally, it's about the quantity BUT the food is pretty good. The sushi/sashimi shocked me a little. AYCE sushi is usually just passable but here, I thought it was pretty good. Everyone in my group loved the quality of the salmon. Other offerings, of which there were many, were pretty good. Standouts were the lamb chops in my opinion. Dessert options wasn't as extensive as the other AYCE places I've frequented but they do the job. Aside from the usual fountain soda options (serves by the restaurant staff) , they had a few fruit drinks and a milk tea option as well as some specialty drinks in a can. Scale 1 to 5. (Keep in mind that this is based on quality you'd expect from a typical AYCE restaurant. Food 5 (large selection of food and that shellfish!) Service 5 (Friendly staff and were pretty efficient in clearing the plates) Cleanliness 4 (Place was well kept. Deducted 1 star due to the stickiness of the floor around our table which reminded me of a movie theater floor... lol) Value 5 One con to point out. The restaurant was rather large yet the bathrooms were small and couldn't accommodate a lot of people at once. Not a huge quibble as the wait wasn't astronomical BUT it did seem odd that the size of the bathroom didn't match the size of the restaurant.

I couldn't believe it. After a while I looked at the employee and finally said "Oh hey, I am ready to order." She glanced up and nodded. But went back to listening to her "friend." At this point I walked up to the register and said "Excuse me but I'd like to order." The "friend" GLARED at me, spitting venom from every pore. Then she launched into a TIRADE. I ignored her and placed my order. I won't lie though, I was fn shaking.
