Outstanding!!! They get four stars because of their serious lack of curb appeal. Their outside look - looks bad. Their interior is clean and smells great. Their signage outside is from 2011. lol. We still had to try. We asked their owner what should we get. He asked us what our favorite protein was, hot or spicy, wet or dry, fried etc. Suggested the lamb cumin - simply amazing. Their vegetables were fresh and crunchy. Their food was hot and ready to eat. I couldn't think of anything that needed to be added. Great job guys. Now renovate the outside. read more

Had a nice time with its ups and downs. Dan Dan noodles were great and the meat buns( soup dumplings) were very good. And I love endless hot tea. Can't go wrong there. General Tso was average and while the dry style hot pot was tasty, I was disappointed with the spice level as it's on the menu as being the hottest thing they serve. It was maybe a 3. I was hoping for a good mind melt of heat. Not on this item. But for the most part we enjoyed our meal and will go back. This place deserves higher ratings. You need to try the stuff that isnt on the Americanized portion of the menu. That is where they really shine. Waiter is very good. You get a free pot of tea when you sit down. The place is very clean. Hot and sour soup was.good and not too salty. I had the dry pepper shrimp,behind is AMAZING if you like fried shrimp. Everyone has different experiences and I hope this was a one off for this business. We all have bad days. I ordered classic Americanized Chinese fare. 1 order of Orange Chicken and 1 order of General Tzo Chicken for the spicy person. They were both spicy and had no flavor beyond the heat. I ordered pork fried rice. That tasted good and had plenty of veggies and pork. Yum. Pork buns had no flavor even with the sauce. The worst was when I got sick immediately after I ate. Came here with a party of 5 and we sat at a round table by the window. Loved it. Despite that we were the only people there on a Sunday around 4:30pm, they still had takeout orders and were attending to us promptly and quickly. The waiter was very kind and didn't mess up any of our food/orders considering how much we ordered at once! The atmosphere of this place is quiet, dim lighted for ambience and clean. This is one of the few Asian restaurants you can actually sit down and have some good Chinese food that isn't super "Americanized." It's kind of funny because there's a section of the menu that says "American Chinese food" and then there's the rest of the menu. Highly recommend getting the house tofu and the Dan Dan noodles (meat and vegetarian). There was nothing we received that wasn't good, everything was delicious. As a Chinese American, I totally approve! If you are in the area or are like my family and I who traveled about an hour to come to this place for dinner, I suggest it. We had a family lunch today at Han Dynasty in Royersford and Wow! What an amazing experience. The food we chose from their extensive menu was authentic, freshly prepared, and absolutely delicious. We especially enjoyed the bok choy with black mushrooms and fried tofu with cashews. Our waiter was friendly, experienced, and attentive. The restaurant is larger inside than I guessed, pleasantly decorated, and also has high chairs. I have eaten in much more expensive Chinese restaurants on the Main Line and in Philly and this small local gem has food as good-if not better! We will definitely be back. read more

Authentic Chinese food. If you're a fan of Sichuan spice, this is a good place to go. We have been ordering from this location for the past 8 years and for the most part service has been pretty good. There is plenty of selections, we have several dishes we order every time such as Honey Walnut Shrimp, Dry Hot Pepper Chicken, Mushroom Bok Choy, Chilli Oil dumplings, Scallion Pancakes, General Tso Chicken, Garlic Egg Plant and Hot & Sour soup. We have also had their Dan dan noodles, Beef soups and a few of their dishes to honestly give them a rock solid review. Location and ambience is decent, though they don't seem to keep the place warm in the winter months. We have ordered takeout 95% of the time and they do a good job with packaging and reasonable time to prep. We've ordered takeout from Han's Dynasty twice now and lemme tell ya: IT'S LEGIT. They have an "Americanized Chinese food" section in their menu, but the rest of the offerings are the real deal. Everything we've ordered has been absolutely delicious--the egg rolls are off-the-charts good, I'm a huge fan of the cabbage with dried chili peppers, their lo mein is solid awesome, scallion pancakes: YUM; I could go on and on. Food was wonderful. Hot temp, flavorful, yummy. House special wonton was the most elevated smoky broth lots of wonton 9 to 10. My husband had the crispy rice triple delight .. the sauce was amazing fish was delicate our favorite dish. My child had the hot pot - pork intestines she loved it and said the pork was soft and lovely not at all tough. Great meal if we lived closer we would be here every week. I'm giving Han Dynasty 4 starts on the caveat that you must 1. Enjoy Spicy food. Love spicy food. 2. Do not mind mediocre service (but hey, that is typical of Asian restaurants. Should this be acceptable? That is up to you to decide) The dan dan noodles is pretty good of the dishes I tried here. It is an appetizer but it is worth trying if you like spicy food. Flavor is really on point with the chili and the sweetness. The rest of the dishes are fine: I didn't even recall what I ordered, but I think I am spoiled coming from Los Angeles/Orange County where there is plenty of authentic Chinese food, so I can't compare it to home. We arrived and ordered 3 appetizers and 3 entrees, & told them we'd be getting an order of dumplings to go when we were done. Our 6 meals all came out 10 minutes apart, 2 of the entrees were cold, & the sweet & sour chicken was so full of bones, it was inedible. They didn't have the duck I went there for, & when we finished, it took 20 minutes to get the dumplings we ordered an hour earlier. When I paid, the server handed me the hand-held to sign, but he reached over when it asked for a rating, & pushed the 5 star review. So the reviews are fake, don't believe them. It was the worst restaurant I can remember going to. Stay away. But at least I didn't see any bugs in the food like that last guy's review. Also, the place is freezing. RUN AWAY! I don't normally write reviews for delivery orders as sometimes the quality of the food can be compromised in transit, but the food was SO good here, even taking into consideration the delivery, that I wanted to sing its praises. I can refer in particular to the Dan Dan noodles, which were perhaps the best I've ever had. The noodles were nice and chewy and the sauce and toppings had all of the typical elements - chili oil, little bits of pork - of Dan Dan, but also a surprising and delightful sweetness. This is a bit different from other preparations I've had, but the sweetness worked really well and was a welcome addition. I also ordered the egg drop soup, which was neither disappointing nor a standout dish, but I didn't eat it until the next day, so I can't really speak to it as a fresh soup. read more

The absolute best Dan Dan Noodles ever. I love Han Dynasty. I have been to their Philly locations and this is my first time trying this location. I noticed they have American Chinese dishes at this location which they don't offer at the Philly locations. I didn't try them but I guess it's a nice to have and they must do it considering their audience. We ordered their dan dan noodles (increased the spice to 8), dumplings in chili oil and double cooked fish. All were great. Service was great as well - very fast and attentive. The interior and exterior could use an update but it was a mere after thought after the food. Only bummer is it's BYOB, I enjoy their cocktail menu at their city locations. Last time we at here was few year ago. What a difference! We came around dinner time (around 6.45 PM) and the restaurant was very empty (only had one other table). Last time it was packed! We ordered the scallion pancake, steam dumpling, beef braised noodle, house special fried rice, house special crispy noodle. The scallion pancake was delicious. Steam dumpling was cold/sub-par (some edges has hardened). Beef braised noodle was OK. House special fired rice was yummy. House special crispy noodle was too sweet. I would give three-four stars. But we were charged differently from the price on the menu. The server told us that he forgot to mention about the new pricing. It seems to me that he had made it a custom not to tell customers about the price change, perhaps in the hope that customers would not notice/complain. Had he made it a custom to tell customers about the new pricing, he would not have forgotten in the first place! This was very dishonest and not a good way to conduct business. Hearing our complaint, the owner, speaking in Mandarin (perhaps he thought we would not understand), told the server to waive the charge. Despite asking them to charge us the price on the menu, they still waive the bill. Appreciated it. But we just want to pay the price on the menu, not asking for a free dinner. Gave a tip and left. One of the best asian food available around here. Their food is great and cost effective. They do not go overboard with spices but maintain a good level. Could definitely use a slight improvement in service and the food order, I would prefer to eat my noodles with the entree I order and not separately. Try the cumin lamb[1], it's worth making the trip here[2]. Savory, and very Szechuan. Their cooking is outstanding, authentic to a T. Everything is quite good and, in some cases, packs a decent amount of heat. Picky eaters can order Americanized Chinese; there's a section on the menu labeled as such. Fantastic service. An upscale interior makes you forget you're in a suburban strip mall; comically, Han Dynasty's layout is damn near identical to Sang Kee Wynnewood. Coincidence? Placed an order on Grubhub at 1:44pm and was told it would deliver between 2:30pm to 2:40pm. After 30 minutes it said it's delayed to 3:00pm - 3:10pm!? Then 10 minutes later it said it's delayed again until 3:30pm to 3:40pm!?! That's almost 2 hours from when I place my order! I tried to cancel the order at that point but they said they can't do it. I had to talk to a manager to finally get the order cancel. I had to leave for work at 3pm. So thanks to them I won't be able to eat for hours until my dinner break read more
