Not my favorite, but great prices and friendly service. Ordered egg drop soup, chicken chow mein, chicken chow fun and sesame chicken. Fast service, but unfortunately wasn't the best. I think the best thing I ate was between the chow fun and sesame chicken. The noodles in the chow fun were cooked too long that a lot of the noodles were mushy and stuck together. The sesame chicken was very dry. I recommend this place if you are craving Chinese food late at night. read more

Hit up Mr. China last week coupon in hand. Ordered ribs, pork lo mein, egg roll, and beef & broccoli. Ribs were the highlight - meaty, not overcooked, and not too saucy, just the way I like them. The PLM and BB were thumbs in the middle. PLM had sort of a strange smoky flavor. The egg roll was the lowlight - it wasn't greasy which was good but had virtually no filling. Pretty average overall. Serves me right for cheating on my normal Chinese place, I suppose. read more

Lunch specials!! And a giant egg roll! I didn't expect much but for a very Americanized Chinese restaurant I was satisfied. I would describe the food as a mix of Panda express and mall Chinese food. The best part was the price of $5 for huge lunch specials. I would say the food is ok (really not the greatest) but we had friendly service and we got what we paid for. Couple of tips-don't get the shrimp with lobster sauce (what the heck?! Slimy white goo with three shrimp), the Pepper steak was good, and the $1.25 egg role is massive! Go-to place when I need my fix of General Tso's chicken. It's always perfectly hot and crispy. Their lunch special (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) is exceptional, great bang for your buck. Nice family that runs it too. read more

Our son just moved to Phoenixville and one of the first things we had to do was find a good Chinese restaurant. We knew Mr. China was close by and the reviews were good, so we gave it a shot. It looks small from the outside, and appears to be mostly a take-out place, but it's spacious with about 10 comfortable booths and everything was clean. Our family benchmark for Chinese food is Hot & Sour soup. The portions were huge and it was quite good; not the best I've ever had, but I would definitely order it again. The only negative of the visit were the fried noodles that came out with the soup. They were delivered to the table in those little wax take-out bags and were pretty stale. But then the entrees we ordered came out and we forgot all about the noodles because the food was simply outstanding. The vegetables were fresh, the chicken and beef were tender, and the sauces were flavorful but not overwhelming. Each dish came with a large bowl of rice. Overall I'd say we were all pretty impressed. Best of all, the prices and portions were both quite good. Mr. China is going to be our go-to place to eat or take-out whenever we visit our son. read more

You should know upfront that I was spoiled by the excellent Chinese food experiences of many years ago. It's hard to find the authenticity That was present in the early years of my Asian experience. I give this food a C minus. The spring roll Was overcooked; the two soups or just OK. Certainly not from scratch. And my primary was tasty But The shrimp was seriously overcooked. Tried Mr China for the first time this past Sunday and the food and service was really good. Our regular place which had been located in Trooper closed a couple years back and our family had been searching for something comparable every since. Our search is over, we found a new home. Very disappointed that they do not offer deliveries anymore. I just called to place an order, and was told they stopped delivering. I really believe this is a bad move for business in this area. Their food is decent/good if you decide to pick-up or eat in, but I wouldn't personally make the drive just for their food. read more

Very disappointed in the food. The order was wrong and the overall quality of the food was terrible. While waiting for my order, I noticed that both the restaurant and the bathroom was filthy. We ordered lunch to go this past Saturday. (Pepper Steak and Orange Chicken). The portions are very large for the price. (The lunch specials are about $5.50 and include the entree and fried rice.). The woman at the counter was a bit "snippy", however the lunch was ready in about 10 minutes...and I was on my way. I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here; however it's convenient and I most likely will order from Mr. China again. read more

NOT GOOD! Have ordered take-out a couple of times, both times the order is over priced, under sized, too salty, and everything is covered in grease. The workers are extremely rude. Example, the pork fried rice did not have pork or onion, so it was literally just yellow salty rice. If I could give negative stars, I would! read more
