Whenever I'm in the area, I would stop by Super Wok as my go to Chinese takeout spot. I believe the business is family owned and we love supporting local businesses. My go to orders are the garlic eggplant and you can't go wrong with any of their chicken dishes. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food they give. They do have a sitting area in front if you want to eat your food there but majority of folks just take it to go. I have only ever ordered the Beef Fried Rice and it has been absolute TRASH every time Rice is dry and stale tasting, they are very conservative with the beef as well, barely enough to be considered a beef fried rice. And they never pack plastic utensils so beware if you order take-out. read more

I used to frequent Super Wok when I visited my brother. I went this past Saturday and it seems like a couple of items changed. I used to love the sesame chicken with veggie fried rice but this past weekend when I had it, it wasn't the same. The fried rice was like yellow rice with veggies from a package in the store, it had almost no flavor. The sesame chicken was decent but still not like it used to be - the chicken at the top seemed like it was barley dipped in sauce. The egg roll was still the same but I wouldn't return just for that. The food itself is pretty good for a takeout Chinese joint. However, I have to agree with previous reviews that said your food is never ready when they say. I ordered on a Tuesday night, was told 15 minutes and that I was #93. I showed up to the restaurant and was first asked if I was picking up for myself or for me (which lends credibility to one of the reviewers advising DoorDashers not to pickup from here). My food was not ready until 35 minutes after I called (when they told me 15). Additionally, #96 and other orders after mine were ready before mine was. Food was a 4 but service was a 2. Why should it matter if I'm picking up for myself or someone else? If they say it will take 15 minutes, it should take no longer than 20. read more

The lo mein, peppered beef and Kung pao chicken were awesome! Exactly what I expect from a Chinese delivery restaurant and totally hit the spot!!!! The chicken fried rice on the other hand.....looked like yellow rice that should have been an awesome dish of yellow rice and beans....but tasted like the rice had been a combination of all of the leftover rice for the day, covered in chicken stock. My go to Chinese in the area. Consistency is the one thing I appreciate most with favorite restaurants and super wok knocks that out of the park. I order quite a few different dishes here, and have for years, and they always taste exactly the same. Love their Mei Fun, Boneless Ribs, Teriyaki chicken, Wings, Fried Wontons/ Crab Rangoons, scallion pancakes, chicken in black pepper sauce and moo shu chicken. Even before I bought my house in Norristown, I have been ordering from Super Wok. John, Kim and Brian know me very well. I am a very picky person when it comes to food. Chinese in particular. It is always clean, and you can watch them preparing your food, even better. I wish that they would do more delivery besides Door Dash and open it up to their full menu. I can place an order with special requests and they gladly accommodate me. the food is fresh not greasy, This place has me spoiled as well as my entire family, that don't live in Norristown. The best take out American Chinese food in Montgomery County. We ordered chicken with garlic sauce, General cho's combination with pork fried rice and egg roll, shrimp lo me in, and crab rangoons. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Never have I had such fresh take out. Will always order from here for my Chinese take out fix. Portions are big and priced perfectly. Do not order anything tofu here. I have twice now been horribly sick the following day after eating the General Tso/Sesame tofu dish. Both times were separated by a few months, so I'm thinking they keep using the same old expired tofu. read more

Door Dashers, AVOID going to this location. Call door dash customer service and complain about this restaurant. They make door dashers wait, 30-60 minutes before giving door dashers their orders. I would agree with my fellow reviewers that Super Wok is most definately the best Chinese take-out in the area. I would disagree, however, about it's overall quality. While it's certainly okay, I would argue that it's far from great Chinese food. The staff is very friendly and accomodating and the prices are good and cheap. The portions are also quite large. However, the food is really just okay... I would be hard pressed to call it anymore than that. I've had numerous dishes from Super Wok and they all taste pretty much the same. It's pretty standard quality fare from a Chinese take-out place with these kind of prices, although it is a cut above it's local competition. Again, don't get me wrong... the food isn't bad, far from it, but there are most definately better Chinese places. But they're not in Norristown, that's for sure, and you're going to pay higher prices. All in all, you definately get more than you pay for at Super Wok... but not much more. But if you're in Norristown and you want some Chinese, there is really no other legitimate option. read more

I'm trying to pick a new Chinese restaurant in Plymouth Meeting every time I get a craving until I've tried them all. Having said that, I think the search is over! This place is awesome, pickup in 10-15 minutes on a Saturday night and food was hot and hit the spot. Chicken and broccoli is hard to mess up but even harder to distinguish between Chinese places but this really was something special. Chicken was fully cooked and not slimy, broccoli was crisp and fresh and the brown sauce wasn't too thick and accentuated the flavors and didn't overwhelm it. Crab Rangoons seemed hand made and were filled and crunch but not burnt and my wife really enjoyed her General Tso's chicken. Love this place. read more

This last visit was a bit of a disappointment. The white rice was over cooked and a bit mushy. Also, the General Tso Chicken had some pieces that were dried out. Also, the egg roll had some pieces in there that tasted like cardboard. So, I hope they try better and improve or otherwise, we'll have to go elsewhere. This place..... ugh. I WANT to love this place but I refuse to give them my money. Ordered food by phone, went 30m later, food not ready. Waited at the store over 30m. The kicker for me is that we waited over an hour for our food when we were told 20m. when I talked to the woman running the show, she was unsympathic and honestly didn't give a sh*t and looked at me with an icy expression. This really urked me because we are in the middle of a pandemic so getting in and out of public places quickly is important to me. And to boot, countless customers were walking in with no masks, or masks around the mouth but nose open and the workers at the front counter DID.NOTHING. NOTHING! No mention to put a mask on so this tells me they could care less about the safety of thier customers.
