Oh boy was this a lesson on checking reviews before going to a spa. All of the previous comments on confusing pricing and chaotic scheduling remain true. I first found out about this place through xiaohongshu (Chinese app that's like Instagram and Pinterest rolled into one), and from there I added the customer service account on wechat. I was told about a $105 service for first time customers when I inquired about the 60 minute scalp treatment and mini facial. I then found their website through which I made the appointment. On the day before my appointment, I got a phone call to change appointment time due to double booking I got another phone call on the day of appointment asking me to come in earlier. The service itself was great, super relaxing, my hair and skin felt so good. During the scalp treatment, my hair was thoroughly washed and my scalp massaged by gentle hands while my body was massaged by the chair. During the mini facial, my face was gently cleansed, then I had a mask, followed by steam. Afterwards my hair was blow dried, and it felt so soft and silky. My experience ended unpleasantly, as I ended up having to pay more than anticipated - I thought I was getting the $105 first time customer service, but instead I was charged $135. Now I'm not sure what the $105 service for first time customers is and if I qualify for it. Lesson learned to be very careful and clarify prices beforehand. read more

This was my first time at a nail salon to get a shellac manicure. Annie took good care of me and she was very knowledgeable in the world of nails. She was fluent enough to get her points across and let me know whether certain designs would work or not. I came with short nails because I'm not a big fan of long nails as well as the fact I had bit them off over exam season. As such, there was a limit to what could be done but Annie did a great job with my nails. I personally wanted pink nails with glitter and she showed me bunch of pink shades and different types of glitter to choose from as well as give me her opinion on which she thought were the best. I could tell this is a very busy nail salon because they had customers waiting even before I was done so make sure to book an appointment. I would recommend this nail salon. read more

Very misleading and overpriced. Worst manicure for $30! For regular polish, NOT gel or shellac. Been to VBS twice. The first time was ok. I had a pedicure done and it was $30 bucks, which is fine. My second time, the worst. A customer was arguing over the price and how they mislead her. Red flag! Talk about awkward, but that customer had a point. They should have informed her that it was extra to take off her acrylic, which I understand is time consuming, but they should have informed her. I'm not sure if it's an Ontario thing, but back in the States and in BC taking off gel is free of charge. If they are gonna charge for that, I will never ever get gel nails. That is ridiculous. Do they expect you to take off the gel polish at home? My nails are lumpy, jagged, unevenly filed, and looks like I did it at home! Nasty. The nail tech barely did anything to my nails. She spent more time taking off my gel nails than giving me a manicure. She barely gave me a massage and hardly cleaned my nails. As a person who frequently gets manicures on a weekly basis, I find it absurd to charge extra to take off color! I came from a city where there are more nail shops than Starbucks, so I KNOW what a well manicure job should be like. PS The owner called me and informed me that they would fix it for free. SO clean & super relaxing atmosphere. This is definitely one of the better places to get your nails done at a comparable price with other salons. Alice is very friendly and did my simple french tip shellac well. I also had my eyebrows waxed by another lady.They were nicely cleaned up, just as I like them. Downside: the lady did not wash her hands before my wax. I thought she was wearing gloves, until I opened my eyes and realized she wasn't. Other than that, I will definitely be getting my nails done here again by Alice as she said she loved painting (she took Fine Arts in her undergrad) and I'm looking forward to seeing her designs! read more

I am a long time customer with Via and have been blessed with her quality service for more than a year now. As an individual who works in the cosmetics industry and have worked for large makeup corporations such as L'Oreal and Revlon, I am extremely careful and particular about the quality service, and materials used when getting eye lash extensions. Vee Nail Spa has never failed me and my high expectations, and neither has Via, who is truly an industry specialist. I had originally gotten my lashes done elsewhere but was looking for better quality mink lashes at a more reasonable price. When I first met Via, she was working elsewhere. I quickly became a loyal customer and have followed her since, regardless of the location she's been at. I have always left content with the service and a happy customer. She is detail oriented, careful, and a perfectionist when it comes to treating my lashes and that is exactly the attentive skill set required for any eye lash extension expert, but unfortunately short in supply in this industry. After I leave my appointment, my lashes were always luscious, well filled, and not synthetic cheap fibers that many other businesses use. She's very wary of your personal needs and changes the glue type based on weather to ensure that you get the longest wear without frequent visits and your "biggest-bang-of-your-buck" which is rare when she could be making a lot more having eye lash replenishment services. She has the customers best interest in mind and considering that Vee Nail Spa is opened by her, I have no doubt that as the owner, she is doing everything in her power to ensure every reasonable customer leaves at a minimum - satisfied. Her staff is extremely personable, charismatic, and the location is spacious and stages a more elegant taste in decor compared to the average spa locations here in Mississauga. I know in my mind that Vee Nail Spa is a place that comes highly recommended and the massage therapists are professionals in their fields as well. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. Honestly, the girl Corina (sp?) did a good job on my lash extensions and I could tell she cared to explain everything to me as she was doing them for me. However, I feel like this spa lacks professionalism. When I showed up for my initial appointment, I was early so I anticipated a wait. No problem. However, I ended up waiting almost half an hour past my scheduled appointment time. I was willing to overlook this as a one time thing since I was happy with my lashes and with Corina's services. Now, I'm back for a lash refill and I called in advance to book an appointment. They asked if I could come in at 10 and I work later in the day so I figured the earlier the better. However, I show up at 10 and nobody is there apart from a contractor. They look like they're renovating, but the door wasn't locked. And I discovered that they actually open at 11, not 10. So I find it very weird that they would even offer for me to come in at 10 when I called them. So here I am now waiting for them to actually open.... I really wish they would respect my time as a client. I am pretty disappointed. read more

The place is every clean and the atmosphere is relaxing, but the staff seems incompetent. I had an appointment at 6:30 but they still made me wait 25 minutes (there were 4 just hanging around doing nothing at this time). I waited it out though because at least it was comfy and one of the staff had brought her cat to the salon. I had initially gone in wanting coffin nails but when I asked for them, the lady doing my nails made a face and strongly suggested against that shape. I'm no nail expert so I just went with it. I told her I wanted shellac- something nude and silver, somewhat elaborate because it was for a wedding. She couldn't really suggest to me any ideas but got out some silver nail jewels so my hopes were high. However as time went on I became more and more disappointed. She placed the jewels in an unappealing way and then tried to make them fancier by adding some very ugly (and not even straight!) glitter lines. Then she got to the end and basically realized they didn't look great but didn't really know how to fix them. At one point she asked me "is this wedding fancy?" and then made a face like "I dun goofed" when I said that it was. Long story short, after 2 hours (2.5 if I count the wait), and $60(!!!), I ended up with nails that look like I did them at home, the only thing I liked about them was the colour (which I chose myself). I would have stayed and insisted they fix it but it was pretty close to 9 pm, I was the only one there and they looked like they wanted me gone asap (even though it seemed obvious they were not a fan of their own work). So I just cut my losses and went home. They told me to come back with a picture for next time (they didn't even ask for one at the beginning!) As a bonus, when I got home I saw that there was a cat hair embedded between layers of polish. They told me that if the nails get chipped etc within the next week they'd fix it for free, but being realistic I am never going back. read more

After asking her 5 times to please not be so hard, she told me she doesn't speak english. When the hour was finally over, I found out she was not even an RMT. I had specified when I booked the appointment, and again the day of the appointment, that I needed an RMT (to be able to claim it through work benefits). The place is decorated beautifully and they had nice spa music playing and I said to myself, this is nice. But then they turned on the tv to a Chinese version of the Voice. I wanted to get out of there so fast. Nothing worse than putting on something you don't understand. They need to understand if they want a different customer other than Chinese then be respectful of others. The girl doing my moms nails was very slow and I just wanted her to speed it up. It was my first visit to this spa and likely my last. I chose this nail bar based on the reviews. Environment was nice, spacious and elegant. Quality of service not so much. I had a pedicure done - the filing job was poorly done, nails were still uneven and not clean, cuticles poorly cut. Polish application also was uneven and streaky. Vee had been doing my lashes for 6 months. The first time, she forgot that we had an appointment and I waited outside the store for 30 minutes in the cold to arrive. I had to text her to let her know I was waiting outside. Despite being late and forgetting the appointment, I still tipped her more than I should of. I always tipped her well. Instead of the single lashes, I started to notice she was using the double lashes and when they would fall out, they would fall out in twos. I was under the impression that quality lashes were done in singles. It wasn't until I commented about this, that she told me that she also uses double lashes. I booked an appointment for refills, which should of only been half price. It was not until AFTER she completed the process that she said she was charging me the full price, because she said I had only 30 to 40 percent percent lashes left. lol. If that was the case, then why didn't she tell me upon initial inspection that she would have to start from the beginning and charge me full price? Then she advised me that I should book an appointment for every two weeks. In my personal personal opinion and my friend's opinion, my lashes were not that empty. And if she thought that they were , then she should of told me at the beginning and not have waited until she was ready to cash out. That's not a very good business practice. I will not be returning to her store and I've found another eyelash technician to do my lashes. read more

I got jewel art done on my accent nails on each hand and it looks great! she made sure the shape was perfect and looked at my nails from every angle and also made sure she secured the jewels in place so as not to have them fall off. another awesome bonus was that I got 10% off for just checking in on their yelp page which was awesome. it's nice and quiet and you know you're getting the attention your nails deserve as opposed to those rushed places that just want you in and out so they can help the walk-ins.
