I'm Charles Kerg (Chuck or Charlie is just fine) and I'm a registered surveyor in Richland County. I have worked as a surveyor, starting in Cleveland, since 1972. In 1980 I began working for Krocka and Associates, a surveying and engineering firm in Shelby. I passed the registration test in 1988, and started Kerg Surveying that same year. I am still in close contact with Krocka and Associates, and have occasion to use some of their support services when the situation requires. Most of my work is performed in Richland, Crawford, Huron, and Morrow Counties. I have performed large-scale commercial surveys in cities such as Mansfield, Toledo, Cleveland, Warren, Delaware, Ashtabula and Wooster. My registration is valid throughout the State of Ohio. I most commonly do boundary surveys, commonly referred to as pin surveys, for parcels of any size, from small city and country lots to farms of any number of acres. I do topographic surveys and commercial location surveys, such as ALTA's, typically for commercial customers. I also do Flood Elevation Certificates for people who have property located in flood plains.

I did my best reseaching online 1200 miles away, because I needed a surveyor to do a job on a home I'm buying in Mansfield Ohio. I reached out to friends at the local police department, asking around. The name Matt Hanning kept coming up as THE MOST RELIABLE surveyor in the tri-county area. I initiate contact with Matt from South Florida and I'm glad I did. He was able to provide me with some initial information that I needed. He even volunteered to head out to the property to take a look, providing me with some initial answers.... Thanks Matt!!!...I then met with Matt, weeks later when I was in Mansfield for the closing of our home. First meeting with Matt, I utilized what I was taught in the 25 years as a Police Officer, looking at his body language to seek deception and or if he was hiding anything...Let me tell you what I learned. 0% deception detected. After going back and forth, they said they could meet at 11 am on Saturday. Now, Saturday came, my husband was in the online meeting room, but nobody showed up. He waited for 30 minutes there and ended the online meeting. Now, after he left home, Evelyn called him and said she had forgotten the meeting, with no legitimate reason. And after wasting part of his weekend, she told him that they only offer the full management service and do not help just with finding a tenant. The purview of their service is fine; that is their choice, but this could certainly be communicated via email instead of going through this unprofessional and disrespectful experience. I was surprised to find many great reviews about this company, which was good for them, but I guess our need wasn't lucrative enough for them to care if you can drop a meeting they scheduled without giving a legitimate reason.
