I notified him and he said it's not his fault it is the other company that did the other half. I told him their side has not leaked but your side is wet and if you say it's their fault why didn't you say something to me about any problems that you saw when you were doing your half. well needless to say he stopped responding and didn't fix problem in basement and stopped right in the middle of doing the cement stairs. he is no longer returning my calls or even trying to resolve problem. please think twice before you use this company. unhappy customer!!!!

That…read morebusiness fixed the problem of water coming into our house but did nothing about our cracked basement wall, which only got worse over time to the point where the wall was in danger of collapsing. Despite the seriousness of that wall's condition, one or two other companies recommended wall anchor systems, which Brandon recognized would be insufficient to hold back a concrete block wall as deteriorated as ours. He also noted the insulation put around the base of our house by the previous company was meant for indoor use. We did make attempts to contact the company that did the original work, but it was murder trying to get them to respond. They finally did, but by that point we'd decided to go with Hart, even though the other company would've been less expensive. We just didn't trust that first company anymore. I'm glad we chose Hart because they did an excellent job. Brandon was very professional, letting us know what was involved each step of the way. They worked hard and fast and we finally have a great solid basement wall. I'd recommend Hart in an instant to anyone who needs waterproofing and foundation repair.

We had multiple companies out to quote the repair (big name companies that you see advertising everywhere). They all wanted to put band-aids on the problem, Hart Masonry was the only company that wanted to get to the heart of the issue and fix the entire basement so the foundation would be good for life. Most of the digging was done entirely by hand and the repair took 3 days less than originally expected which was a nice surprise.They were polite, efficient, willing to work around our schedule, and cleaned up after the work was completed. I would not hesitate to recommend Hart Masonry and Waterproofing to anyone that has basement structural or water issues.

We're now looking to finish our basement and needed to waterproof to prevent basement moisture and a repeat of water coming through the drain again. Jared met with me and walked me through how my home was built and functioning today and what work was needed to have a quality finished basement. He also worked with the city to run a dye test to determine if our sewer was combined or separated and then turned around a quote in a reasonable time. Jared also invited me to look at work they were doing for a home down the street and walked me through what they were doing, why, and how it would be for my home. They also worked with the Home Heritage Program to help me get a low interest loan, which is more work for them, but they understood the process thoroughly and helped walk me through it. For the project work itself, the crew was timely and knocked out the work in November despite the cold and some rain. It was very impressive to watch the crew work as they moved quick but did it with quality and they were respectful to my home. Jared also is in the trenches himself doing the work and he also worked with me to understand what they were doing and checked with me on scope and questions as they progressed. I'm very happy with the end results for both the waterproofing and concrete. This business is also family owned and operated and is actively involved in the Lakewood community. If you want a company that is fair, educates you on your home, does excellent work, and builds relationships with the local communities, then Evans is the company you should use! I texted Kevin and asked if he could come and look at it and he (know it all and an answer for everything) said he knows whats wrong with it, no big deal, just a sealer issue. OK. I spoke with 2 other experts and they both said its more than just a sealer issue. Its a big desal to us as we paid a lot of money for this, about $3000 over his estimate. Kevin wanted to apply more sealer over it. I said no, you should come out here and look at it first. He told me he is now 'too busy' and has not made good on it. He had no intention of coming back to fix it. He messed up. It looks horrible and we can not use our patio as intended. Terrible customer service. He was very argumentative and insulting to me through his texts communication. Learned my lesson. Dont pay in full until satisfied. D H
