How great was it when I found Fix-A-Fence to know that I was getting exactly what I needed--not just a "handyman" company but a company that knows how to do a wooden fence (or other types I'm sure) right! I called, sent a few photos, and had an estimate in hand the next day. The price was great so I agreed and was added to the schedule. Unfortunately for me we had many days of rain which pushed back my original date a bit but John was good about keeping me updated on a final date. Once we had a new date locked in he had a cancellation come up so I actually got booked sooner than planned (again, great for me!). The arrive on time (a little early even) and had the new gate hung, repairs completed on multiple sections, and a good once-over on the whole fence for some minor repair. Total time from setup to driving away was only a few hours and the work looks great! Also, I really appreciate the advice he gave me on a few "repairs" I had planned for them that he said could be taken care of in a less costly way (i.e. something I could easily do on my own since it was cosmetic work). Great to see someone willing to give me the best work at a very fair price. I highly recommend Fix-A-Fence and will gladly have them back for any future repairs (here's hoping another tree doesn't fall through my fence again!).

We reached out to Wiler Fence and Nate, the owner responsed quickly providing a great solution to our project on a large slope with a competive quote. They completed the work, cleaned up everything, emailed us pictures, and sent an invoice. Talk about easy. This could not have gone smoother and we were very pleased with the results. The second was a repair on another project. This fence was already in place and one that was not installed by Wiler Fence Company. We had a leaning fence. Nate provided a quote over the phone, explaining what might need to be done. When the work was done, we called Nate to ask why we did not get an invoice even though he completed the work. Nate explained he was able to repair it without the need to replace any of the posts and there would be no charge. Wow! Needless to say, we will be recommending Wiler Fence Company to everyone we know and will using them on any future new fence installation. In summary, compeitive pricing, great work, easy to busines with and first class customer service!

The estimate process was relatively simple and the estimate was close-ish to the others we received. We decided to go with them because of the reputation of their work (they did my parents' fence) and that they did a lot of work in my city of residence. After putting down our deposit, our experience went downhill fast. We were quoted 8-10 weeks out for our install. When we called them for an update, our calls were not returned. Once when we were called, we were told that "you know there's a lumber shortage, right?" How would we know? We hired you to do our fence and at that point stopped looking around and talking to other companies. We were promised a call back from the owner (he's the only one that does scheduling) and it never happened. Never. It ended up being about 14 weeks. The crew that did the install was nice. The lead guy, Pete, was very personable. The crew worked fast with taking down the existing chain link and gate and setting new poles. However, they left all of these used materials on our front lawn. Not on the side of the house, where they would be inconspicuous, but legitimately in the middle of the front yard which, had we not moved all of it, would have killed half the grass. When we called to inquire, we were told "they take it when they're done. Didn't they tell you that?" I'm pleased with the finished product of our fence. It's beautiful and provides all the privacy we were wanting. However, the customer experience and communication was absolutely deplorable. If you don't mind a blatant lack of communication, then I'd say hire them. If you expect answers to your questions and a customer-focused experience, then I'd recommend you keep looking.

We live in a new development and all of our neighbors were using them so we figured we would too. The fences looked great. I called them and setup an appointment for the sales guy to come out. Let me add this was last year (2020). The sales guy comes over to discuss what we want. We decided on a vinyl fence line pretty much everyone else. Easy to clean. He took the measurements and I gave him the required half payment down via my credit card. Don't worry, it's, not going down THAT road. About 3 weeks passed and I hadn't heard anything and the payment hadn't been taken. The sales guy told me that I would get a call to schedule an appointment for them to come out. He said the vinyl fence was good because wood fences were in back order but vinyl wasn't. So I called and talked to a lady and she said "Oh, we accidentally shredded your credit card info. We need to send the sales guy back out". I'm like can you just take it and she said no. So a few days later, the sales guy comes back and gets my card number again. Let me pause here and say that this should have been my first and only sign there were going to be problems. I should just said forget it and went with another company. I digress. They take the payment but instead of taking the half, they took the whole payment! I called and they said oh we see let us reverse it and just take half. If anyone has a bank account, you know how banks work so I had two pending charges for about $4500 - the whole price of the fence and a half. Of course the whole price feel off in a few days. Great, I'm now waiting on a call to schedule. Another week goes by and nothing. I call them and was told they were backed up and they would call me when they could do it. Fast forward two months. I get a call one morning saying they are on their way to put in the fence. I was at working from home thank goodness (pandemic and all) so I said ok. They came and put the fence up easy peasy. Since my two of my neighbors already had fences, they only had to put up one side, a gate and close off the other side. It looked great. Let's fast forward to April of this year (2021). We had two back-to-back wind storms. When I say wind storms, I mean 65-70 mph winds. On the second day of the storm, our gate broke on the fence. The fence has a lifetime warranty. I called NRC and let them know the gate broke. They had me send pictures of the gate. I did that. The gate flew off. Heard nothing after that. I called them two weeks later and was told I would get a phone call about it. Two more weeks nothing so I called again. The lady sounded annoyed and said I'll ha e them call you. This went on for a few more weeks. Then I get a call and they say they are coming to replace the fence. Sweet! No one showed up. The next day, they came around 4:30pm. While trying to replace the gate, they found out they brought the wrong gate (huge shocker). They said they would go back to the shop and see if they have the right gate and call me even if they didn't. They took my broken gate with them. No calls (another shocker ). We have been calling them ever since! My husband called at the end May and gave them an earful. We got a call in June saying the gate was ordered and we would get a call when it was in. It's August and no gate meanwhile, we have had three other neighbors get fences put in that look just like ours all from NRC with their signs in the yards. I'm going to say this (and I don't use my race for things) but my husband wonders if it's because we are Black. Our neighbors are not. I don't know what else to think. We even told them at one point, we would pay for the gate ($500) instead of warranty if that would speed up the process. She said it would but it didn't. We aren't paying for gate now. We put our house on the market and needed the gate fixed. We ultimately took our house off the market but still need a gate. I don't know what to do at this point but I wanted to share my experience in hopes it helps someone thinking of choosing them for a fence or deck.
