We ate a little bit of everything and wow it was so incredible we are already planning our next dinner there. 10/10 vibe was immaculate and the the service was friendly and great. We did go during happy hour and the deals were great, especially loved it for the appetizers. Anyways 100% recommend!

What a treat! This establishment did not disappoint! It is a beautifully appointed restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. The service was very attentive and the food and drinks were excellent. My friend and I started off with a pear martini. Next we shared the marinated beet (with citrus) salad - truly the best beet salad I've ever tasted! Then we each ordered the seafood pasta, with a white wine butter sauce. Mmmm! The sauce was just right - not too heavy. You've got to try this dish! For dessert, we had the chocolate lava cake. What a way to top off the meal! From the cocktails to the beet salad to the seafood pasta, and through to the dessert -- each of the menu items individually would warrant a trip back to this delightful restaurant. Needless to say, I will be back!

My family tried Vasili's Kitchen for the first time yesterday. We had reservations for 6, but got there 10 minutes before. To our surprise, they have happy hour everyday from 2-6, where a lot of their meze and appetizers are half off! We quickly ordered their falafel, fried cheese, spanakopita, mushroom flatbread, and cauliflower (all 50% off!). We also ordered their wings, meatballs, and the lentil and quinoa salad. All of the dishes were solid, but my favorites were the salad, fried cheese, and falafel. The cauliflower was a little too saucy and the wings were spicer than I anticipated. However, the entire experience was lovely. I look forward to trying more of their main dishes in the future!

Came here to celebrate my friend's bday. First thing I noticed, their wine's cost is DC price and maybe a lil more expensive (by the bottle). Service- was kind of slow. We waited a long time for our drinks, appetizers and entrees. Our waiter was nice, he just a little slow. Food- I hate to say this but there was nothing special with their entree. I tasted everyone's dish and was not fully impressed. Their cost is also DC price but their food was mediocre. Their spicy calamari was probably my fave- crispy, hot and had a small lil kick to it. I also ordered their Cauliflower and it was soggy and soaked in their sauce. I was really disappointed with the cauliflower. Ambiance- was cool. I like their outdoor heater, def a good toasty place when it's cold out.

I love Mediterranean food, but my first time here was just average for me. I ordered the chicken kebab (and so did one of my friends), and we both agreed that the chicken was tough, so perhaps it was overcooked. I thought the texture of the chicken was weird & rubbery, and you only get one stick of chicken. I've been more satisfied with $15 kabob platters that come with so much more. My portion of the bill came out to $110 after 20% tip, so definitely on the pricier side, which would have been okay if I loved my meal. Unfortunately, the best thing I had was the truffle fries. I ordered the braised beef to go for my husband, and he did say it was good but nothing special. 5 stars for ambiance - definitely a cute spot for lunch or a dinner date. Patio area was great! Service was good (could have checked in on us more though), and the host was friendly.

First time visiting this establishment, I love the entrance. You're immediately greeted by their large wine collection, which separates the entrance to the main bar. Their food and wine list are amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is no roof top, only outdoor covered patio seating and a very relaxed atmosphere. It's great for groups, couples, or singles. I should point out one important thing there's a late night happy hour from 9:00 pm to 11:00 just in case you're a late nighter. I plan on coming back with my friends in the near future to check out the late night HH. Cheers.

My sister and I wanted something different. We ended up here on this particular night. We opted for outdoor seating. It had a happening vibe. The waitress was very attentive. We absolutely loved everything. We started with the Grilled Cauliflower. It was sweet and spicy at the same time. Next, the Grilled Octopus. It was devine. I can eat this dish all day long. So what's next? Grilled Brazino. Everything on that plate had a purpose. We were still catching up, so we ordered bougatsa. There was not a single bite left. Overall, great atmosphere, service, and good.

I went here for dinner with my boyfriend for a date night. The service was great, including the free sparkling water. We ordered the Eggplant Spread, Pastitsio, and Grilled Branzino. Everything was very flavorful and we especially enjoyed the lemon flavor on the fish. If you want great Mediterranean food with cozy ambiance and good service for a date night, I recommend this place. Stop by the next time you are in Kentlands!

This place is hoppin'! Whenever Yelp asks me if a place is hip, I never know what to say -- until…read morenow! This place is definitely hip! What a vibe! So cool, fun, nice décor, super-helpful and responsive staff, lots of people eating outside and inside, and quite a selection of foods and beverages with lots of room for personalization. We came here because they have lots of vegetarian things and are known to be accommodating of requests regarding dietary needs and preferences -- what a relief from the get-go, even before arriving! Parking was easy but since I wanted to go to the bookstore afterwards, I parked near that, around the corner, and had a little amble along the road, looking at various shops and restaurants along the way, plus the greenery of the park .... I got the Avocado Tacos and asked what I could get instead of rice -- one option was the El Greco salad, so I got that. I felt a bit weird about it, though, until it was explained to me by our waitress that this wasn't just a Mexican place but rather a Mexican-Greek fusion! Oh, wow! Mind got a bit blown by that -- cool! Well, with that info., my mind relaxed ... and I awaited my meal. This is a good thing, but if you're in a hurry you might want to get something ready-made or more quick such as soup or salad that needs little to no preparation. For me, I'd rather wait! (I mean, whenever possible, that is.) So ... it was delicious! I was hungry. It was filling. The avocado was all very fresh, no yucky pieces, ha ha! Plenty of flavour, texture, colours, visual and all kinds of other appeal for the tongue. My two corn tacos under each heap of goodness did fuse together -- presumably from the moisture of all that lay on top of them -- so I could not separate them as I usually do, but the truth is that it ended up being so much food, I didn't even finish my tortillas, anyway. The tempura tacos (Aha Baja) have warm and crispy pieces that are not too big -- and that reduces the potential of a too-greasy feel. In a word, good! Or just plain 'Mmm!' The Roasted Potatoes are absolutely delicious! The Black Beans are totally tasty! The amount of desserts is incredible -- and all are house-made, wow! I could not believe how long the list was! Oh, yeah, and the appetizer of chips and salsa was crispy and yummy. The guacamole is creamy and has a hint of spice that varies by bite .... The food was all great, and so was the rich Lemon and Ginger tea was incredibly good! It looked and felt rich and thick -- such a surprise! I enjoyed it immensely. I was also offered honey, sugar, and milk to go with it if I wanted, and found out that the owner is a tea aficionado and that's why their teas are so good! If you don't like noisy environments, you might want to avoid the busier times (such as weekends) or eat outside, weather permitting. This is such a one-of-a-kind-place -- not to be missed! Yay! :-D

It looked like there were two servers working the entire restaurant so getting our waters also took a bit of time. I promise the food is worth the wait. I got the grecco salad with rotisserie chicken, avgolemeno soup, and potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious. I wish I had two stomachs so I could order and eat more! My Greek friend swears by their chicken, potatoes, and avgolemeno soup and she didn't steer me wrong. Id love to return in the evening to sit at the bar sometime. Bar seating was more readily available than the tables.

We started strong with the feta cheese appetizer, and wow -- the creamy, briny richness paired perfectly with fresh accompaniments. The Greek salad that followed was unbelievably fresh, with crisp vegetables and vibrant flavors that felt like summer in every bite. But the real star of the night? The pork chops. They were cooked to juicy perfection, seasoned beautifully, and paired with sides that complemented the dish rather than competed with it. Each forkful was savory, tender, and honestly one of the best versions of Greek-inspired pork I've had in a while. What sets Ela Mesa apart isn't just the food -- though it truly delivers authentic, elevated Greek flavors -- it's the whole experience. Guests consistently rave about the warm, inviting atmosphere and attentive service that makes you feel right at home. Whether you're craving classic Greek dishes done exceptionally well or discovering Mediterranean flavors for the first time, this place is a must-try gem.
