This place customer service is awesome ffrom the receptionist Yvette and new young lady Destiny they were very welcoming. I chose to come here for my 2nd set of PT. Today was my last session for now but i wanted to take the time to commend this center. The PT Edward stood out to me because, he provided new exercises that was better fit for me, hopefully he stays there because he was great. Oh yes... can't forget Courtney, she knows her stuff lol without her there, i am unsure if the center would flow as well as it did but Ron shines too! I'm so happy I switched from Lancaster to the Palmdale location for physical therapy. I was seen within five minutes after filling out my paperwork. I had the privilege of having Danielle as my physical therapist. She really took her time and listen to everything I had to say. She was able to an area on the back of my head that relieve my headache instantly. I haven't had any relief from my headaches, even with medication from my neurologist. They gave me electrostimulation a heating pack they gave me about five exercises to help me. Afterwards, they gave me an ice pack. I am actually super excited about starting my visits here I feel that they're really gonna be able to help me! read more

My experience with the therapists was great. Everyone was kind and attentive. The issue I have is with billing. I came in the first visit and was told I'd have a copay. Fine. By the third visit, I was no longer prompted for a copay so I asked directly and was told by the front desk that I wasn't being billed anymore because of my dual ins so I took them at their word and never asked again. I continued with regular visits because of this development, otherwise I would have needed to space them out more because I couldn't afford the copay so frequently. I stopped going to therapy around Dec and come Feb I get a bill in the mail for $200+. Confused, I called billing and explained that I was told by their front desk that I didn't have a copay from the third visit on and they basically didn't care. They cited that sometimes it takes a while for dual ins to kick in and relay what the actual copay is going to be which would have been fine if they'd relayed that. I would have known to ask again to make sure I wasn't racking up a balance. I was told that there was nothing that could be done regardless of that fact that someone in their office gave me the wrong info back on that 3rd visit. It's very disappointing to have to deal with a company who refuses to take any ownership and at least meet you in the middle. I will not recommend them solely for this reason. read more

This place and the the PT's are good, I mean really good! Normally, we go down to the SCV for any and all medical related care because it's so much better down there than up here in Palmdale, but these guys are the exception! They helped my son get through two injuries to his right pitching arm. They know what they're doing, easy to schedule, and I trust them completely with the future of my kid's pitching arm! read more

I was recommended to go there for P.T. from a friend before my insurance actually ended up sending me there. So I was glad to hear that's where they were having me go! On my 1st visit, I had a consult with the main therapist Ron. He had all my surgery info and went over with me what the gameplan was, and gave me a realistic timeframe for healing and getting back to work. I've been doing my P.T. there for a shoulder injury now for almost 2 months (and still have more to go). All the staff there are very friendly and get to know you on a first-name basis. They make you feel welcome and are eager to help. You get heat, electronic stimulation, you're given an exercise and stretching routine followed by ice if you want. All the while they're helping you and coaching you because they wanna see you get better! No pressure at all! I would definitely recommend Vargo to anyone! read more

So this is my 2nd appointment... 1st appointment i show up 20 minutes early to fill out any new/start paper work, and they tell me you dont show in our schedule???? Ummmm Really ahh ok, Then i guess i need to make another appointment, Girls at the front say ok, and give me appointment for a week later.. I show up today early again.. And they dont seem to know what theyre doing, they tell me my deductible needs to be paid before i can be seen, $400.00 I tell them this is a insurance claim, i was rear ended on the fwy You would think they would of called at some point over that week and give me or claim aju that information.. I absolutely appreciate Ron and all the staff here at Vargo Physical Therapy. I went in after a work injury with LOTS of mobility limitations and very sad. It's been 2 years since I got hurt and not one time that I went in crying or sad was I treated poorly. The level of professionalism and compassion for the patient is one of a kind. I continue to do my exercises at home, used stomach muscles and keep all of them in a special place in my heart. This is a professionally run company. The facility is clean and mandatory covid19 compliance for staff and all visitors. Temperatures taken before you are allowed to enter. The staff is friendly, fun and caring. They really seem to care about their patients and sit and talk with them about their condition, how they are felling and what their course of therapy will be. Front desk lady with lightly pink/orange colored hair is extremely rude, has a ton of attitude and wore unprofessional clothing. She had a black see through, almost fish-net style shirt that exposed a lot of skin and her bra. However the staff in the back are really helpful and knowledgeable. They are kind and tentative with your issues. I would recommend their service to others, but put the front desk woman somewhere she has no contact with the public. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! The space is awkward, filthy, and overpriced. On top of that, their physical therapists have no idea what they're doing. With the exception of one DPT who left over a year ago, the other practitioners I've had were inexperienced and unprofessional. To be fair it's been over a year since I went there, but they are on my mind today, because I just found out they sent me to collections to pay for a service I had already paid for! I disputed the claim with them, but because I had thrown out the receipt they would not honor my payment even though my bank statement proved I had paid for the service already. I just paid the service a second time to the collection agency because I panicked over the negative hit on my credit. As far as I'm concerned they just stole money from me. I actually look forward to coming here. Ron and Devyn do a great job and always smile (this makes the pain a little easier to handle). They don't offer private visits but I think I prefer having other people to talk with while I do my exercises. This is THE place to go for PT! The staff, from the front desk to the therapists and their assistants, is friendly and professional. Vargo was recommended by an ortho doctor when I needed help with a torn meniscus 2 years ago. Every session I had was effective. They gave me the exercises to continue in order to keep me moving. I use them several times a week and I haven't had another problem. When my back when out I knew exactly where I needed to go. Back to Vargo. After two years most staff members remain which is a good indication of a successful treatment center and everyone remembered me and welcomed me with a smile. Overall Vargo is pretty great; however, there are a few things that they could work on. I've been coming to physical therapy on and off for the past couple of years. Ron works in conjunction with his team to ensure maximum progress and the utmost attention to patient care. I could say differently about one of their receptionists. I've seen a new face these past few visits. From what I was told is that they recently opened a new office in Lancaster and the previous receptionist Lily is now working at that location. Lily has always been such a sweetheart; always very attentive, empathetic and thoughtful. Ivette on the other hand can use a brush up on customer service. I've noticed that she is very quick to assume that people should know what they are there for and at times has this personality of "needing to be right or having the final say". I was in the sitting area, waiting to be called, when I overheard her speaking to the new receptionist. She was bad mouthing a patient that had just been called back and had a very pessimistic attitude. Keep in mind that the lobby and receptionist's desk are in a small area and everything echos. I could tell that the new girl didn't care for what she had to say. I've dealt directly with the new girl about five times that I've been there and she seems like she has a much more optimistic attitude, always friendly to those she comes into contact with. Staff was very friendly and polite. However they don't follow the doctor's orders very well. One of their P/T's not only disregarded the doctor's orders but made my injury worse. Within two hours of my treatment, I started to get intense pain and my right arm started shake as I was in convulsions. I will never go to them again and will tell everyone about my experience. read more

I had very poor experiences with Vargo and felt that in all fairness I should relate some details so other patients can make well-informed choices. It began with bad customer service from the front office staff who screwed up the referral/authorizations, blamed me for this and then exhibited a shortness in demeanor towards me. This was followed by surprisingly rude speech from the manager. Whatever happened to common decency?! Then it just went downhill from there. The first therapist began treatment on the wrong part of my body, so I guess they didn't bother to review the doctor's instructions. This happened on two more successive visits, so being unprepared and unprofessional seems to be an ongoing issue at Vargo. Finally, the most recent therapist who worked with me actually exacerbated my condition. Shortly after the appointment finished I began to feel piercing pain where therapy had been applied. I was forced to lay in agony at home, unable to move, until the next day when help arrived. That was the last straw. I immediately went to another nearby provider and they were able to reduce my pain and correct Vargo's mistakes. I won't ever return to Vargo and can not recommend it to anyone. read more

in my trade I work with my hands and over time and injuries was in a great deal of pain. Was referred to a hand specialists that wanted to do surgery but I could not afford to miss work so I was recommended to physical therapy. My doctor recommended Vargo because he thought they were the best in this area. The main physical therapist Ron was extremely knowledgable and friendly. The staff was friendly and efficient. I work with my hands and now I have tendonitis in both thumbs. Ron tried ASTYM and seems to help with some of the pain. I am getting better therapy compared to what I got at a different physical therapy office. I am glad I chose to go to Vargo for physical therapy this time around. I can't say enough good things about Vargo!!! I had been to 2 other PT places in past years & they were nowhere as good as Vargo - trust me. I went to one place for about 8 months for tennis elbow, not really resolving - til two people recommended "Ron" at Vargo to me. I switched over & within 3 weeks, my elbow was much better. Ron is the consummate professional - good listener, patient, extremely knowledgable & consistent. I have been back to him for achilles tendinitis in my L ankle & now peroneal tendinitis in my R calf - I know - I am getting old!! The staff at Vargo are great - they DO have other clients there most of the time - sometimes several others - so go with an attitude of patience & you'll have a better experience. The PT aides are all very nice & do their best to help you. Lily & Yvette at the front desk are by far THEE NICEST & most professional admin assistants I've come across in a PT office, but also in all the dr's offices I've been in for myself & my mom over the years. They are always patient & smiling - and both have a great sense of humor, which is NOT easy, considering people are going there who don't always feel good, have been in an accident, or just are annoyed they have to go to PT!! I really credit everyone at Vargo - but especially Ron - with the quality of life I've been able to have the past few years with 3 different ailments. He better NEVER retire!!! read more

I went here in 2014 and paid precisely what my insurance contract said I should, a "co-pay". The physical therapists are excellent. But when I went again in 2017, the receptionist charged me twice my co-pay. She said part of it was to meet my deductible. I canceled the visit. Vargo's bookkeeper called me and claimed that [insurer] authorized him to collect a portion of every patient's deductible. I spoke with insurer and they said I am only supposed to pay what the contract specifies- a co-pay of $35 and that Vargo could not ask for more. Who is right? Who is lying? I have NEVER had any other medical provider in the last 30 years attempt to charge against my deductible before the insurer processed a claim from the provider and actually attributed a portion of the claim to deductible, so I think this is a fraudulent business practice. Ask your doctor to refer you to a competitor of Vargo and pay what your insurance specifies, not what Vargo charges. This is a lot simpler than filing a grievance and asking [insurer] to cancel its contract with Vargo. read more

Consulted with Ron regarding a pinched nerve in my neck and excruciating pain. Ron set up a series of physical therapy (PT) sessions. He was very polite, caring, professional and competent. I interacted with 5 or 6 other employees over the course of 8-10 PT sessions and they were all great. The PT therapy and homecare therapy resulted in pain relief. The team at VARGO is a solid team and work well together. A motorcycle accident really damaged my Tib/Fib (lower left leg); but the PT team prescribed a comprehensive program which was/is excellent. Most of all, the most important aspect "customer service" is displayed by majority of staff. Since I am athletic and work out, at times I am concerned, not of the difficulty of the excercises; but if someone is there to help! I am in awe of being able to walk now, and others are complementing me on my rapid progress - one reason I account this is VARGO's customer service. The patience with me and the explanation of "why" and "how" to do something carried me through my rehabilitation. Lily (front desk) sets the professional tone of VARGO and leaders Ron Johnson/Chris Davis orchestrate quality programs for people and excellent leadership. Ron/Chris take time to explain, "what, why, how, etc." Christinia exudes positive, knowledgeable, and diligent work ethic. A now hired young man (Christopher) - a previous volunteer, has the pulse of rehabilitation, "being available"! Christopher has held my hand through a painful exercise, got water, towels and is "right there"! It is the small stuff that is done at VARGO, which makes it exceptional.
