The office is pretty straight forward, you come in for your appointment at the front desk, fill out the basic paperwork. (Takes a good minute to fill out but it's standard in most offices so just be prepared). It's mostly information you know, signatures, DL information & payment at the end of course. Then you go in for your consultation, I waited for the doctor and then he does the consult and some work by the assistant, then off to the next room for an adjustment by the doctor and done. Ruby was the one who did my electric treatment and she was super sweet and kind! The doctor was very thorough, answers all your questions and explains his findings as well as recommended treatment. I felt like he truly wanted to help! I'm surprised there isn't more 5 star reviews for Dr. Peterson he was great! I'd recommend all my friends and family to this office. He also has an office on the east side for those who can't come to the west side for whatever reason. Still going through what I'm going through but Ira not gonna be a one day fix. Went to go see Dr Peterson for the first time about 1 week ago. Went for my 6 year old that had mild ear infection. Dr. Peterson was not only patient with my son Ryan but took the time to explain to my son what he was going to do to him. My son felt so comfortable and even happy to have Dr. Peterson do some adjustments on my son. He now feels much better and now my son says he wants to go back for popcorn cracks! As a mom this is such a relief to have an issue pretty much fixed. So happy with him Another thing about Dr. Peterson is that he took my husband in - last minute (I think we got lucky that day) he adjusted my husband shoulder that was hurting him for several years and was depending on ibuprofen for pain management. In researching chiropractors who might help somebody I knew suffering from sciatica, I found Dr. Petersen. We always want the best and most skilled we can find, right? I was specifically searching for treatment using the Activator Method, so I went to the www.Activator.com website and looked for doctors in the AV who were not just trained in Activator, but who had "Advanced Proficiency" ratings; results showed there weren't many choices in the area. So I took the pain-ridden patient over to Dr. Chris Petersen's office to see if he could help. Bottom line, it took some time, but he was able to fix the problem and eliminate the excrutiating pain. This is a great place if you are a cash customer. If you need to use your health insurance it's better to go elsewhere. I went here for a couple of years and then one day out of the blue they called me and told me my insurance didn't cover anymore chiropractic care. I called my insurance (blue cross) and turns out I have unlimited chiropractic care but after every 5 visits they need to submit paperwork to show why I still need care and then they approve it in advance. This office either has incompetent office staff or they just don't want to both with the leg work to maintain their customers. I pay a lot of money for my health insurance so I'm going to use it and I'm going to use it with an office that is willing to do the work it take to make health insurance pay what they promise. I have since moved on to AV chiropractic and what was difficult for one office is easy peasy for another. read more

I am very glad I went to see Dr. Petersen! When I came in to see him, I had to use my scooter to move around, I was in constant pain having to take Norco every six hours and had to ride scooter all the way into the treatment room. After only a few weeks I started to be able to walk from parking space into the treatment room without the aid of scooter or anyone else but most of all I no longer have the need of Norco! I take Tylenol arthritis if I need it, which is not as often as I was taking the other drug. Dr. Petersen is an excellent doctor! He has excellent bedside manners, attentive, knowledgeable and caring. His staff is also very friendly, professional and competent in their duties. I feel part of their family. Dr. Petersen and his staff are wonderful. I have had continuous problems with my hips slipping out of alignment along with tightening of the muscles around them. The therapy sessions are amazing on getting my muscles to relax so that they can be adjusted. Dr. Petersen has always taken time to find out what the problem is and offer suggestions on exercises I can do at home to help prevent the issues from returning. Appointments are always available and the Dr has even seen me past business hours. Dr Petersen cares about his patients. I also have had many problems with my ribs slipping out of place over the years. It is very difficult for other chiropractors to make those adjustments. I love that Dr Petersen uses the activator tool. With his skills and the tool, he is always able to get my ribs back in place. My insurance does not cover chiropractic care and I found that the rates are very affordable and therapy was included! read more
