Overall very happy with this tree service!…read more We needed a gigantic tree removed that was really close to the house and behind a small fence - definitely a tricky spot. I got a few quotes from other companies that ranged wildly. Ramos & V was one of the lower quotes. I checked their insurance coverages, license, etc. and everything looked good. They came with a double crew, several trucks, and a crane! Took down the tree in half a day. Returned the next day to remove the big chunks and grind the stump. There was some slight miscommunication because we wanted to keep some logs and woodchips and the crew apparently didn't get the message, but not a big deal. Especially considering what a monster that tree was! Next time we need a whole tree removed, Ramos & V will definitely be on my list.

A woman came to my home and barked at me that she'd been doing this for 20 years when I told her she was stating wrong information about the plants on my property. She didn't do basic diagnostics (like scratching the bark to see if the tree is green and alive) before recommending chopping a tree down. Clearly, that's their only true service, chopping down trees. They charge for travel door-to-door if you actually want diagnostics. The poor ratings are true. I do not recommend Northeast Horticultural Services mainly because they are rude and will waste your time because they are too eager to chop down trees and Not care for trees.
