This Vapiano place got really tasty pastas. I ordered Bolognese from different place but it didn't taste good, so I ordered from Vapiano and the difference was OMG. Definitely going to order here again and ps this place is for those who truly love Italian pasta. read more
Bottom Line - Really affordable, good pasta and pizzas (especially for the price), great for large groups and overall good atmosphere. I'd come back. So here's the deal: I don't usually write reviews for chain restaurants; however, I feel that the quality of Vapiano, for what it is, is pretty good. I understand why lunch and dinner times (even during mid-week) are busy times. You don't get waiter service, but that's okay with me. This restaurant is set up in a cafeteria-style. When you arrive, you get an electronic tap card and go to various stations to get the food you want (salad, pizza, pasta, dessert/bar). The food is then prepared when you order at the counter, and you tap the card so it records your tab. When you leave, they scan the card and you pay for everything you ordered. I think the atmosphere is pretty good and can be intimate if needed, but also good for a group of friends. read more

Affordable made to order food I enjoyed very much. We were looking around for a place to eat and this place was full of people so figured it was a good sign. You line up like a cafeteria and wait for your turn to order your food and wait there while they make your dish. I had a creamy pasta dish which was excellent. Would not hesitate to visit this location again! read more

Definitely one of the places to check out in the Hague if you are a pasta lover (cooked right in front of you). Pizza is not the best but above average. Small range of deserts and starters but nevertheless tasty. It can get pretty busy especially during lunch/dinner time in the weekends, so do expect waiting in big queues to order your pasta (for the rest it's a lot faster). You'll find a table almost all the time since they are spread on two floors. read more
It's an affordable place right in the middle of town. So a step away from all the bars and night life of town. The food is good, not excellent, but good enough with a bunch of friends or for a quick dinner, where you know ingredients are fresh as well as the pasta. The concept imposes that you go order yourself in the kitchen and get "buzzed" when food is ready so you can pick it up. Fun way to do, as it probably also helps to keep prices under 10 euros. Downside, in a group not everyone will get food at the same time. Another positive point, they can still serve some food at 10pm... read more

A very OK restaurant. Don't believe the hype. Good price/quality ratio. Decent pasta & pizza. Waiting time could be problematic for some, especially if you don't like to stand in unorganized queues. Also, no reserved tables. read more

Good value for money for those who love Italian food. Waiting time can be a problem, but it's a nice place for expats willing to dinner after 9 pm. read more
I'll start off by saying that the best pizza I've had so far in the Netherlands was at Vapiano. The pasta was also delicious, as they make it on-site. I cannot bring myself to give Vapiano five stars for the simple design of the food ordering area; the waiting lines are constantly intersecting, which leads to confusion and by the time you finally reach the front of the line to order you feel like you've literally been put through the wringer. As others have said the prices here are great, but it is a result of a lack of service. We will continue to return because the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. read more

I like coming to Vapiano for lunch, they have great salads and pizza's. I should note though that I come here for the food, not the service. I have yet to encounter a happy person working in this place.. none of them ever have smiles on their faces.. but the food and prices are really good. They recently acquired more seating spaces upstairs which is nice. A young, more international/student type of crowd comes here during the day. It can get really busy around dinner, which is not ideal since you have to wait in line for your food and/or pick it up yourself, so I like to go in the late morning or late afternoon. The balsamic salad dressing is divine, try it on their 'Insalata mista' salad =) read more

We visited the location in the Hague recently and were pleasantly surprised. Apart from the interesting way of ordering (all self-ordered, salads and appetizers one station, pasta dishes at another, drinks and desserts at yet another), we enjoyed all of our food. The process is to enter the restaurant, obtain an 'ordering' card, go to your chosen station, place your order and watch it being prepared in front of you. I ordered the mushroom risotto and added spinach and chicken and the chef who was preparing it asked me about things like garlic, wine, chili peppers and cheese. My husband ordered a Greek salad with chicken and was very pleased with his choice. The bruschetta was a bit under flavored (not even a hint of basil), but the tomatoes were fresh and not mushy. We ordered desert and his "NY Style Cheesecake" was a typical cheesecake but my "Nutella" cheesecake didn't really taste like Nutella and was a bit more of a mousse than a cheesecake. We liked the very casual atmosphere, but don't expect to eat at your table alone. They are mainly large tables to host 6-8 people and not exclusive. read more

My boyfriend always mentions this place when he comes back home from a trip to the Hague so I had to try it out when I visited. I now understand what the fuss was all about, it's so good! For the price that you pay it is totally worth it. I wish we had more of these in the states. read more
