I frequented the vape city around the corner from our home on Chimney Rock and while I was a bit hesitant to enter the building at first look, I'm extremely happy that my wife and I did just that. From the moment we entered the door, the assistant Alexi was wonderful. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive and he went above and beyond the normal call of duty in order to assist is making us very happy. I was honestly a couple bucks short of my purchase and Alexi actually reached in his own pocket to add to my total in order to complete the sale. As I patiently waited for my turn to exchange my vape due to a flavor preference, I witnessed the customer in front of me effortlessly complete the same transaction without any hesitation. However, when it came to my turn, I was met with resistance and denial, despite presenting the same valid reason for the exchange. The stark contrast in treatment based on nothing but the color of my skin left me feeling disheartened and unfairly targeted. And surprisingly, the prices were still pretty low compared to other smoke shops in the area.
