They were nothing but exceptional and making sure I was always OK both my brother and I and making sure we were at our best mental headspace. I learned to just become a very independent well-rounded person and I can't think independent enough for that if I could name names I'm not sure if they still work there, but Miss Pietro in many others, such as Miss Guito and more changed my whole well-being, an aspect on life, even though I was very young, they helped me mature and understand life when I was in the dark I felt as if they really understood my learning methods and my learning skills and made sure that I took special reading classes and much more to get me to where I needed to be considering my struggles. I can't think independent enough for everything they ever did for me and my family so when you're thinking of a school in cash Valley to send your kids, this would be the first place that I check forget all the other ratings. I asked to meet with the principal so we could learn more about the culture. She assured me it was a welcoming environment. My son has a 504 plan and she said his teacher would be fine w/ it (he had experienced past teachers having a hard time adhering to it). In both cases, the principal was absolutely correct. His classmates welcomed him and he loves his teacher. In his words, she is the perfect mix of fun, nice and strict:) I also appreciate how his teacher deals with conflicts when they arise. It's not easy to teach curriculum AND how to be good citizens and his teacher does both very well. This is truly a sweet elementary school tucked away in CV. We are so thankful our child is a student at Palomares Elementary.

It is selfish of Redwood Christian to cause major traffic along a major Bus Route that is used by other students at nearby schools. In comparison to other schools, this car system is the worst of the worst. Although a response may be that allowing students to be dropped off at the back entrance near Via Vista/Neilsen will cause disturbance to the residents in that area, at least that door is not part of a major Bus route (93, which is used by many students: Arroyo High School, KIPP Schools, Bay Elementary, Bohannon Middle School, and even more schools further down). Because cars won't move at all on the one-lane street unless they get into your school, it causes the Bus to be stuck there for 5-10 minutes for such a short distance. The negative impact of such delay is a late bus of regularly 10+ minutes, up to 20 minute delay. It is not simply "take an earlier bus" if the school can decrease traffic.

Staff of whom we have interacted with are extremely nice and responsive to any concerns. Tuition is one of the most reasonable you can find in the whole Bay Area, the value each student get is tremendous! The tuition even includes extended care which in already pays for itself! Especially for busy family with both full time working parents. Public schools usually ends around 2:30, but your tuition includes extended care until 6:00! I think my husband and I are both in awe, every month, on how little we are paying for a "private school" education. In fact the tuition is very similar to our local public schools after school program, and that program was suppose to already run by a registered non profit organization! Our family is extremely grateful that we have found this school. And grateful for all the teachers and staff our children have had so far. Big shout out to Ms. Mary (which my children talk about everyday, even if they have already moved on from her class), Ms Divine, and Ms. Contreras. The school itself backs up to a wonderful park and has been recently earthquake retrofitted. They also installed gates to keep the bad guys out and the students in. At first, I really didn't like the gates because it did make the school look a little like an institution, but I get the reason why they did it. The teachers are WONDERFUL and all are invested in the students education. No wonder people move to Castro Valley! There are young energetic teachers and also older ones that are just as fabulous! This review is extremely overdue, but here it goes!…read more We enrolled our twins in the summer program (2025) to gently ease them into the school, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The director, Ms. Sarah, has been so incredibly helpful and an absolute godsend. As a parent of twins, the loading and unloading assistance (from Ms. Sarah & Ms. Martha) has been extremely helpful, especially since parking can be tricky at times. My girls were also bumped up a class after the winter break , but while in room 4 Ms Howeida, Ms.Reina & Mr. Martin were all wonderful and played an instrumental role helping our girls transition from home to daycare. Their warmth and patience made all the difference, and we are so grateful for the foundation they built for our girls. Overall, I've truly seen how much my girls have grown while there. It means a lot to me that they're given opportunities to interact with other teachers and experience different classroom environments, which really helps ease transitions. I'm just so grateful for the care, structure, and support that has helped them thrive here.

We've seen it before with her older sister, which is exactly why we chose the same path for Lily. For families considering Montessori, it's important to understand that the learning doesn't stop at school--it continues at home. The partnership between teachers and parents makes all the difference. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Amelia and Mrs. Sarah for the 3.5 years we entrusted our last baby to you. Every school has its issues and qualms, but at the end of the day, the school is solid, the curriculum is sound, and the community is loving. You get what you put in; if you're an involved parent who attends meetings, chats at drop off/pick up, and signs up to be on the boards and play in the CYO sports, you'll feel the incredible sense of the OLG community. If you only drop off and read the emails, you'll feel excluded, and the love will be lacking. Writing a negative review about your and your child's experience is very easy, but you must give a complete and truthful review. Pieces are missing, and no one is a victim in the situation. I love OLG and the foundation that it has built for my children. It's disheartening to see negative reviews that bring down a score for a lovely school whose staff and students work very hard to build a community filled with Truth, Unity, and Love.
