This review is extremely overdue, but here it goes!…read more We enrolled our twins in the summer program (2025) to gently ease them into the school, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The director, Ms. Sarah, has been so incredibly helpful and an absolute godsend. As a parent of twins, the loading and unloading assistance (from Ms. Sarah & Ms. Martha) has been extremely helpful, especially since parking can be tricky at times. My girls were also bumped up a class after the winter break , but while in room 4 Ms Howeida, Ms.Reina & Mr. Martin were all wonderful and played an instrumental role helping our girls transition from home to daycare. Their warmth and patience made all the difference, and we are so grateful for the foundation they built for our girls. Overall, I've truly seen how much my girls have grown while there. It means a lot to me that they're given opportunities to interact with other teachers and experience different classroom environments, which really helps ease transitions. I'm just so grateful for the care, structure, and support that has helped them thrive here.

This is a bittersweet review after more than 10 years of being part of such an amazing school…read morecommunity. Montessori San Leandro has truly been a second home for our family. Lily is ending the year with flying colors--it didn't come easy, but with the loving guidance of her teachers, she has blossomed into a confident, well-rounded, and independent student. As parents, we've never had to worry about how she's doing because we trust the strong foundation the school has built. We've seen it before with her older sister, which is exactly why we chose the same path for Lily. For families considering Montessori, it's important to understand that the learning doesn't stop at school--it continues at home. The partnership between teachers and parents makes all the difference. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Amelia and Mrs. Sarah for the 3.5 years we entrusted our last baby to you. Because of you, Lily is ready for what's next--confident, curious, and unafraid to speak up, ask questions, and think outside the box. We will truly miss all of her teachers. I'll miss the daily stories Lily would come home and share, and hearing how much she loved her teachers (especially the hugs). But I know those bonds don't just disappear--they stay with her. Montessori San Leandro will always hold a special place in our hearts. We will continue to recommend this school to our friends and even to strangers. Thank you for being such an important part of our girls' journey and for helping shape them into who they are becoming.

It went from name calling(vocabulary I didn't know kids that age had) to physical. The teacher, principle and yard duty supervisors have been made aware of the situation MULTIPLE times and NOTHING has been done to correct the situation. The principal claims to be doing all she can but does not say what and nothing shows. Most recently it escalated to these kids using my sons friends to set him up to get jumped with one of them pushing him down and putting his knee on my son's back and then stomach, making it hard for him to breath. I don't know what is going on at this school but it is a joke, not a single kid has been suspended or expelled and the principal always claims to be too busy to speak to my wife. Looking into transferring my child to a different school and will be reporting this to the district. Going to look into getting this on the news as well to expose what is going on in this school.

Mission Hills School is definitely a hidden gem for private schools. We have two daughters going…read moreto the school and they definitely seem to be ahead of their peers of similar age. Not only do they emphasize academic progress, they also balance the curriculum out with fun, play, music, foreign language (Spanish) and teach to make sure the students become well rounded citizens of the Earth. The student body is already very well diversified! The school is very well organized under the school principal Ms. Kaya. Staff of whom we have interacted with are extremely nice and responsive to any concerns. Tuition is one of the most reasonable you can find in the whole Bay Area, the value each student get is tremendous! The tuition even includes extended care which in already pays for itself! Especially for busy family with both full time working parents. Public schools usually ends around 2:30, but your tuition includes extended care until 6:00! I think my husband and I are both in awe, every month, on how little we are paying for a "private school" education. In fact the tuition is very similar to our local public schools after school program, and that program was suppose to already run by a registered non profit organization! Our family is extremely grateful that we have found this school. And grateful for all the teachers and staff our children have had so far. Big shout out to Ms. Mary (which my children talk about everyday, even if they have already moved on from her class), Ms Divine, and Ms. Contreras. Special thanks to all the administrative staff: Ms. Maria, Ms. Hernandez, Mr. Hawkins, Ms. Mary-Ann and countless others! I am surprised that not more people know about this hidden gem! Maybe the parents of students going to the school wants it to stay that way! The way we found out about this school was a referral by our friend. I heard that the Union City campus is already at full capacity every grade and is baffled why the CV campus is not yet. But don't take my word for it! Contact the school and take a tour yourself. You don't know what your kids are missing!

I am beyond pleased with the teachers and administrators at this campus as they help students build a strong foundation in vital subjects and enforce proper classroom rules to aid behavioral issues.
