We are forever grateful for Jo and Jenna's thoughtful and enthusiastic care and support. Every visit, phone call, text, etc was always particular and intimate to our own story while being backed by informed, professional advice and conversation. From billing support to postpartum visits in their new gorgeous office, Nettle made this process easy in a medical landscape that can often be so opaque and overwhelming. As a sporadic doula, I'm lucky enough to have been present at several births and they offer a level of care that I didn't know existed. We were fortunate to have an incredible home birth in our barely one bedroom apartment and throughout felt supported but empowered, nurtured but independent. From the first meeting we knew it was the only way, and they were there for us every step. Both pre and post natal care (not to mention labor and birth support) were approached with attentiveness, warmth, and joyful tenderness. I've carried their philosophy with me into parenthood and find myself asking WW(Jo/Jenna)D for decisions beyond the health of our baby girl and myself. Their sage advice and general outlook on all things birthing and beyond offer a lovely bedrock for this new phase. Briefly, we cannot recommend them highly enough. We love you Jo and Jenna and the whole Nettle crew!

I had the home birth I was hoping for, and never for a second felt like I wasn't in the best hands possible. My experience with them was transformative. If you want to feel supported, heard, understood, if you want to ask questions without fear of feeling annoying, if you want your appointments to feel like the focus is 100% on you, this is the place to go.

I actually called to make an appointment for another day but they told me there was availability today at 2:45 PM. They said, "don't be late". So I wasn't. I left work, thinking I can be back soon. Long and behold, I waited for 4 hours before I was able to see a doctor. I did not get back to work until the work day was over! My pregnancy at the time was very stressful for me. I was constantly spotting, was passing blood clots and was straight up bleeding later on in the game. Mind you, one of my clots had me thinking that I lost my baby -- it was the size of a golf ball. The doctorS were pretty dismissive about my spotting situation and did not even try looking into it. So many of my friends and even my sister was asking me -- why didn't they send you in for a scan or send you to a specialist to try figuring out what was wrong? It was only later on when I was straight up bleeding that they took me seriously and sent me over to the hospital to get a steroid shot since it was then much closer to my due date. Some time later it was finally time to deliver the baby. I was thankful to Dr. Karen that she decided to keep me at the hospital because the nurse was thinking about sending me away since she did not believe that my water broke (it did). However, it was a different doctor that did the delivery. It was a very fast delivery. I only pushed for about 5 minutes. Unfortunately, I think they screwed up the stitching on me. I had this weird, uncomfortable and sometimes even painful skin hanging on me until my new doctor from another clinic assisted with my second pregnancy (so glad that I decided to go elsewhere).

My former gyno I had for 5 years before she retired so finding someone I like and trust is BIG deal. Wait time was fast even though they were busy. I needed an ultrasound and stressed I'm late for another engagement and they moved me up (never heard of in NYC). I was seen by Rachel Bale. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable for a first-time meeting. She was also encouraging, supportive, and open to communicate. The nurse and imaging staff were also very friendly and time efficient.

As many women are experiencing, I've gotten the runaround from traditional GYNs and my life is unraveling due to perimenopause. I get a text message this AM that my appointment has been rescheduled with an NP at a different time. I booked a nationally renowned menopause expert and they wanted to shuffle me off to a nurse practitioner. I called the office and there is no availability except for one time in the middle of the day and the doctor's calendar is unavailable for March as of yet. "Nothing we can do." It is so demoralizing and disappointing that other women treat women this way. I'm going to have to go back to the drawing board and wait months once again. ABSOLUTELY HEARTLESS.
