I'm deeply obsessed with Yes Honey! I went the first time a few months ago for a Chappell Roan…read more"Femininomenon" Yes Choreo class and keep coming back for more! I love the variety of class options and music selections each month. The babes at Yes Honey always give the girlies what we want! It's really fun when there's an event going on in St. Louis and Yes Honey fits the theme - for example, they had Beyoncé week when Beyoncé was performing in St. Louis a few months ago. The staff and instructors are always so bubbly, energizing, and supportive. I am instantly happier when I step foot in the building. It's CUTE and PINK, with fun merch and giveaways going on all the time! I have gone to a range of class types: Yes Choreo (choreography), Yes Move (follow-the-leader/freestyle), Poms (cheer style), Barre/Ballet, and ReSOUNDing Yoga (sound bath/yoga) and have loved every one! They have several class purchasing options including monthly memberships, pay by class, or class packs online. I bought a 10-class pack which came out to $18/class. I think it's a great value for such a fun, empowering, uplifting, safe space for EVERY body! Give it a try - you'll love it!

Shocked to see that this place is not even listed on Yelp! That is about to change, right now…read more After searching for a dance studio in St. Louis that wouldn't be too intimidating for a girl who hasn't taken a class in three years, I decided to give Central Studio a try after purchasing a Groupon for a month of unlimited classes. Easily accessible off of Forest Park Parkway, I was pleasantly surprised by this studio. I have attended Contemporary, Hip Hop and Cardio Barre. All of them were fantastic. The classes are not too large which is great to get a connection with the instructor and ask questions if needed. The Contemporary class has a great mix of warm up, across the floor and center combination work. As for Hip Hop, it is a fun class to let loose and learn a routine to one of the top hits you hear on the radio. As for Cardio Barre, be ready to sweat your a$$ off. This intense hour long class is a great calorie burner that incorporates ballet barre as well as center work to build your core. It is a bit like torture but in a good way! The only complaint I have is with the class schedule. I would love to take the jazz class but cannot make it there from work in order to attend the 5:30 class time. Additionally, I wish they had more dance class options during the weekend. Other than that, I am glad to have found a dance studio to get me back doing what I love the most!!!

Her commitment to have fun while teaching the class is infectious. Heels with Madison lets you showcase your sassy side. I love learning a dance over the month; it gives you the chance to improve each week. Looking forward to taking more classes. I also had the pleasure of attending the professional companies show, very well done. The small venue felt intimate and the choreography was intriguing.

I went to one of the classes in September of 2016 and I'm not going to lie, I got really lazy and haven't gone back until recently. I honestly think that whether you are a college student, a parent, someone who has danced when they were a kid or never danced before, the classes are always fun to go to. It's fun to go with friends, but I go and I don't know anyone and I don't feel like I'm alone. I am a horrible dancer, and half the time, I'm on the opposite leg, wrong beat or I look completely lost and I never have felt embarrassed. Even one of the classes, it felt like everyone knew the choreography, except me, but I just smiled and danced a beat behind and no one seemed to mind! :) I attempted to do a split (I cannot do it to save my life) but the instructor (Arica) just gave me a thumbs up and smile, which is a great feeling knowing I'm not being judged negatively or feeling pressure to do it correctly right away. Below are the reviews of the classes I've taken so far. Hip Hop for Beginners (Madison) - So, I THOUGHT about taking intermediate. I've grown up listening to hip hop, so I was thinking, "I can probably do the intermediate moves" but in Sept 2016 the intermediate class just didn't fit in my schedule so I took the beginner's class. I originally thought I wouldn't get a great workout, because the moves may be some small or not as intense as I would of thought the intermediate class would be. I was wrong! I felt my body sore the next day. Madison, is not only a wonderful instructor, she was energetic and time just flew by. I like that the choreography had hard moves, smooth moves, and just a variety of styles. I took her class for a few weeks, even bought the 6 class card (which never expire). I had a great time and really liked it! Madison teaches a different class where the dancers wear heels and it looks like so much fun, I do plan to attend a class soon. A few of the hip hop for beginner classes that I took, Madison wasn't the instructor. So I got to work with different instructors, which honestly was great! The dances were all different, and fun. They also talked about the classes they taught, and showed some of their moves which I was in absolute "awe" in. There was an instructor that specializes in robotics, he was awesome and the dance was a lot of fun too. Hip Hop Zumba (Arica) - I've gone twice now, and it's so much fun! She talks to everyone as if she's really good friends with them and it's a nice, welcoming environment. She really knows how to make us sweat though! It's overall a lot of fun! There are people of all different backgrounds, ages and sizes that go, which I love! There are people that seem to have friends in the class, and some that are like me and don't know everyone, but no one seems to be judging anyone. I haven't felt embarrassed not knowing the choreography right away. I've jumped up when everyone was going down, and I just laughed because it's a fun environment. She's an awesome instructor, and she promotes what else is going on at the dance company. Deep stretch (Raii) -- Definitely love taking this class! It's at 8p on Wednesdays (after the Hip Hop Zumba) and it feels great to just stretch after a good workout and before bed. Raii is so calming, and he's not pushing anyone to do anything that may hurt. He's said a few times, "as long as you feel the stretch, you're doing a great job". I just thought to myself "how positive is that!". I really felt a great stretch on my big muscles, and on my little muscles. It was relaxing but great! There weren't a ton of people at this class when I went, so it felt more close knit the class. I was surprised though, because he's awesome and the class is a great stretch class! Overall, I recommend this place to anyone! It's a great workout, and so different from the mundane gym / treadmill / weights routine. All the classes I took were the adult classes, and I liked the 6 classes package purchase. There's also other packages which all of them are reasonably priced. I think this place is great for literally anyone. There's no judgement, they welcome everyone and the people that do attend all have a good time, I do for sure. The one and only thing I wish they would do, is make a dance to Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" because I love Ed!

This place is freaking HUGE and has SO MUCH EQUIPMENT. They have plenty of treadmills in multiple locations (you're nervous about being in the open? No problem they have some in a back room), but I'm more into weights - I love that they have every type of weight to choose from, plenty of racks, AND they have so many individual pieces of equipment. Sometimes free weights/racks make me nervous, so having individual machines is freaking awesome and the ease of use is so much better. They have multiple spaces, including a back room that is pretty secluded which is perfect for new people/for stretching. They also have balls, steps, small weights, etc back there. They truly are an all encompassing gym. My only complaint (some people don't care about this) - it is very overwhelming for women AND for those of us that aren't SUPER fit. I will not come in here without my fiancé because I'm too nervous haha! It's....a lot. There's a lot of really fit people and coming from a small planet fitness, this is a lot to take in. Overall, great location. The equipment seems to be kept up nicely, and there's something for everyone.
